  1. I highly doubt there will be any differences. If there was even the slightest change in think the price would have changed.
  2. I'm tempted to buy one and then ship back my broken one to HLJ but my ethics keep getting in the way.
  3. These are tiny models... kind of a different breed. I'm pretty sure there's already a thread about these buggers. -
  4. Yep, the plastic ball is not supposed to be glued to the metal in anyway (something I was rather surprised by when my VF-0D leg fell apart). On my VF-0A it appears the culprit was the plastic ball adhering to the paint in the housing. I wonder if they didn't let the housing dry long enough before assembly. For people who think there's an issue with glue seeping into the housing area, I'd bet that it's the paint in the housing that is actually the problem. Anyway, if the plastic ball gets stuck then the metal moves without it, the two halves disconnect, this puts a little pressure inside the housing which opens the end a tiny bit, and the metal section comes right out of the housing. The same problem would happen if the screw to the housing wasn't tightened enough or the plastic half ball was a bit bigger than it was supposed to be (either through manufacturing error or left over flash).
  5. What? A V1 1/60 VF-1 toy? Do you own one? The Hi-Metal is leaps better than those things and at 1/2 the size. There's no way the HMR line is a replacement for 1/60 V2 VF-1 toys. I'd echo others to either cherry pick or mix things up.
  6. He says, 'sorry, i look bad, Jedi'and he's grotesque. I mean we all love Star Wars so it's fine if we can create reasons to let some writing inconsistencies go but I think some people are reaching for that next level to act like they're not inconsistencies.

How do you play with your toys? Do you open and close the landing gear a lot? Do you transform them frequently? Do you own a Tamashii stand? The HMR toys are sturdy but if you don't like having parts handy and love to cycle through modes you may be less than thrilled.
  8. The internment example is a wee bit extreme and I don't know how public they ever were. The Jedi were heroes then traitors. That said, there's no depiction of press in the SW universe so who knows.
  9. What was it about the series that you disliked that you feel the movies did better? I think I might have to watch these again some time as I really didn't like them the first time through.
  10. I dunno, Bandai did lots of things better in fighter mode (though it did some things worse too). Let me know if you think I missed something:
  11. In the PT the Jedi stand in front of the armies, doing more by themselves than all their soldiers possibly could, they're front row at the sweetest liberation parties after liberating planets, being universally renowned heroes, and then they're the dastardly scoundrels that tried to kill the chancellor, and then roughly twenty years later, Jedi WHO? I get that there weren't a huge number of them, but how many Supermen would we need on Earth for us to have heard of Superman? Now, I do think it's fair to say everything beyond the reach of the Republic might be ignorant since they're sworn defenders of the Republic and all. This does play into episode VII nicely though. When Rey is like "Wait, the Jedi are real?" and Finn looks at her like "Girl are you stupid?" that might be a pretty good indication of what the Foul Fowl was saying. Someone has noodled with Rey's brain to block out anything force related. EDIT - I don't want to make it seem like I particularly care too much about this point. By the time episode VIII comes around its 50 years later so lots can be forgotten or seem myth, what have you. I just thought the PT went a little over top with their representation of the Jedi order. I don't view that as one of the chief sins by any means (most of those have to do with story-telling).
  12. Because they were like "We have like 12 Delta DX toys to release... by the time we're done doing those who knows what the licensing situation will be like" or they're like "We're Bandai, we can have that license if we want it" or whatever other excuse you want to think of.
  13. The Jedi being a myth is another problem with the prequel trilogy. It's very hard to imagine that the Jedi could be a myth after the events of those movies. I guess you can argue that the SW universe is so incredibly vast that the Republic and the Separatist nations only represented a small percentage of the inhabitable planets so, for all those folks, even the Clone Wars might be a bit of uh "Wait, someone made an army of clones?" moment.
  14. Given the YF hasn't appeared in Delta or Frontier this would require the Plus license and it seems doubtful, with the Arcadia release, BW would let Bandai do that to them... unless Arcadia couldn't pony up for the exclusivity that usually comes with the premium toy licenses.
  15. It seems doubtful it'd be coming out very soon. You have to imagine we have DX VF-31 and DX Drakkens and there are like 12 of those. If Bandai started releasing one a month in April we wouldn't be seeing a DX YF-19 until at least May of next year and that's excluding any Frontier reissues or whatever else they might cook up AND that they'd actually release a DX every month (which seems doubtful).

I think they think the stand is a selling point. Comes with stand, YAY! Probably more so for the Glaug since it's kind of hard to imagine any cool extras it comes with. Oooh they should have made Regult option parts come with the Glaug (like the med/long range missile parts).

I feel like every time there's a picture of a toy with a stand everyone always freaks out and assumes it can't stand on its own and it ALWAYS can.
  18. VF19adv from the side fighter, yf19 from above in fighter.
  19. IIRC, the Rabildy Dog, in universe, is a good bit bigger than a standard Scopedog. I think the Rabidly Dog and Strike Dog are the same height.

Cool, this picture is very reassuring.

I'll bet it can but they're showing the display since it comes with it. I think the Regult off to the side also is using its stand.
  22. I will say this, Clone Wars is fun even if i think the prequels were terrible. I think the medium works so much better for Lucas' vision for the prequel universe. I don't think I ever made it to the Yoda episode you're referencing but I do think it leads smack into one of the many issues with the prequel universe; the over reliance on "the chosen one" and the notion of "bringing balance to the force." Didn't everyone when they first heard that, knowing about the original trilogy, immediately think "Wouldn't balance be two Jedi and two Sith?" There next thought was probably "Isn't the rule of two really stupid?" I mean, Anakin DID balance the force. It was two Sith and two (known) Jedi by the time he and the Emperor were through. Now you could easily say "the balance has nothing to do with number of force wielders" and then make an argument for whether or not Luke has (or will) accomplish the balance but I really think the 'balance' well is poisoned and I hope 8 doesn't go back to it. Right, Yoda and ObiWan both cut out at the end of III but we're given reasons (not necessarily strong ones) as to why.The Sith had just seriously schlacked the Jedi too so there had to be a little "we need to retreat and regroup" feeling going on and if Yoda can sense the future he probably knew it was best to wait a long while for the right opportunity. Like I said before, 8 could go there, but it ought to speak to Luke's having this epiphany which would only take a simple line of dialog. "I couldn't bring myself to kill ObiWanSolo, and Snoke was too powerful even for me, I had to seek out guidance from the ancient Jedi teachings. Here I realized that it took a Kenobi to defeat a Skywalker before, and it's going to take a Kenobi to beat the child of a Skywalker now." That'd be enough for me although they'll obviously have to clear things up for Rey also.
