Now that I'm not on a phone, I can provide the link! http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=42929&hl=galak-z
-
I'm sure Tommy Yune is working on the Transformers Robotech crossover now. Like Hasbro would ever let that happen.
-
There's a dedicated thread to Galak-z somewhere.
-
I waited for the MegaHouse Orguss to go on sale... still waiting.

Yes, definitely. If I pull a toy out for comparisons and realize it was one of my standard definition reviews and I didn't have the benefit of knowing more how the line would work out I'll try to put together a more informational review in HD. Next review will definitely be the HMR VF 1J with GBP.
-
Posted my HMR Regult video review tonight. Click the link in my sig to head over to my channel and check it out. I don't think there will be any surprises...
-
We won't know until Bandai does a TV version. I suspect the 1J will be white and the GBP brighter. Pilot will be Hikaru. In reality they look pretty much the same except for the missile tops which Bandai should have painted yellow.
-
Thanks for the heads up, I'll fix it tonight.

Review is up on anymoon.com, the video will follow in a couple days. Here's a pic for Roy Focker:
-
HMR is between 1/80 and 1/90, I don't know that we ever got a conclusive measurement on how tall they're actually supposed to be (sometimes 15.12 meters, sometimes 17.4). The revoltechs are 15.3CM tall by my tape measure (obviously give or take a little) so they're between 1/100 and 1/114 depending on which measurement you trust. No Revoltech scout or light artillery were ever made.

Why is there a dancing Regult?
-
I've definitely seen the bike on the left before and the one on the right seems familiar also. Have you altered them somehow?
-
Well it's off to storage now so not much more experience with it after the review. That said, I thoroughly tested those legs when I had it out and I am convinced that Arcadia fixed the problem. I'd be scared of 0D and 0A toys but I think the 0S is safe.
-
Or... you can throw that piece of sh** toy in the trash and call it a day. My 0A is probably fighter mode forever now... it's not even worth the aggravation to try to do more with it than that.
-
I suspect any one who says they like to just search one massive thread has never tried searching one massive thread.
-
I have a suggestion. This thread now covers a GBP release, a Strike Valkyrie, a Regult, and partially another strike valkyrie, a monster, and a Glaug. Could we make separate threads? I know part of the fun is that it's a comprehensive line but trying to track stuff down in this monster thread is a bit of a chore. Maybe we could have a "Hi-Metal R News and Speculation" thread and then individual threads for each toy?

I'm waiting until oled 4k is cheap and 4k content is plentiful. I was a very early HD convert but this change just isn't enough to excite me... plus no free time and kids I don't want watching TV. Is there a list of the deleted scenes somewhere?

Yeah but they want THREE regults to accompany ONE Glaug so I'd say both are pretty huge risks.
-
Wish that weren't a familiar sight...
-
I've always heard bad guys sell horrible in Japan, it makes the Regult and Glaug releases pretty brave on Bandai's part. Still, I agree with sh9000, I think sales appear to be doing just fine. It seems pretty reasonable to expect local retailers will manage to move their product without incurring a loss. The Glaug and the Monster? Those sound like shelf turds... I hope Bandai doesn't make way too many of them.

I'm not upgrading to 4K for a very long time... and I'll probably buy the 4K 9 movie set that Disney will release to celebrate that upgrade.

I'm not in Japan but seeing as the international sellers depleted stocks pretty quick I don't think there's too much of a concern that this thing didn't sell well. It kind of shows you how crazy the Hi-Metal market is that a few weeks after release the fact they can still be found in stores make people worry that it's not selling well enough.
-
I'm still wondering if the weapons will be sold separately or we will get more regult releases. Not sure which I'd prefer. I'm definitely also in for a scout.
-
OMG you're right... and I'm right! They've already done it so it'll be like a reboot and a sequel at the same time. How could Hollywood not love that plan?
