  1. That trailer gets the "cats and dogs, living together, CHAOS" call back so that's cool.
  2. Debating waiting and hoping it hits a black friday sale...
  3. It seems there should be a rotation point at the shoulder, that would allow natural movement. That's the one thing that I would hope to see if anyone else ever takes a stab at this mech.

True, but Yamato was heavy in both spaces. This is definitely a different time.

Okay, the point is that there are plenty of SDF Macross mecha that have fewer toys than say the VF25 or the YF21 or are in development for the VF31. That's not to say I wouldn't welcome those things eventually but I'd much rather have them after a complete SDFM line up.

How many Phalanx toys do you own?

I know there are a lot of people hoping for other HMR lines but I hope they stick with SDF Macross for as long as possible. If they start doing Frontier/Delta/Plus we'll never get obscure stuff and this scale is PERFECT for obscure stuff.

If you count everything 'teased' at the Tamashii event we've seen like every mech you can think of... the only prototype included in the normal marketing presentation we've seen not on your list though is the male power armor.

November should be Max with Miria as a Tamashii exclusive in the same month. Fingers crossed.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a Roy without strike parts (or a TV Roy) as a standard release. Still totally baffled it was an exclusive. M&M as exclusives? Sure. Roy? WTF?
  11. What does it mean?

I think those are just ideas at this point, not planned products.

I'm not soured on NY from this. They put up an exclusive for preorder meaning they just had to take a guess that it would come in about the same size box as the other toys. They guessed wrong. It's unfair to say "Well other vendors would eat the extra cost" unless you're talking about other vendors eating the extra cost on exclusives. In this case, NY was making just a few bucks per order, when they saw the final package that meant they'd essentially make nothing from these toys. If this was a regular release item and it meant they'd make 22% instead of 25% and they probably had forewarning about packaging dimensions and they just screwed it up, then sure, it's an easy argument to make they should eat the cost. They obviously weren't really well set up to handle the invoicing they did, and communication wasn't the best, but hopefully they'll learn from it. By no means are they my number 1 vendor but I'll still grab some hard to get items from them every now and then.
  17. Someone asked on my youtube channel and I don't know, if you want to straighten out the head lasers (or replace them with shapeways rigid replacements), can you just pop them out or will you likely damage them?
  18. Wha?? noooo... might be tempted to buy one.
  19. They should stop listing the panel as "Free root canals" in the itinerary.
  20. I say 'shoehorn' because it felt forced. Like they backed themselves into a place where they felt they HAD to show Luke (and to be fair, they might have given all the hype of Mark Hamill being part of the new trilogy). For me, the movie felt like it would have ended better if it ended with the next logical step being the effort to go find Luke. The last shot is just kinda "Huh, so that happened." It honestly felt like they just had a couple films on one reel and they let it spin just a little too far. Starkiller Base is just plain in simple one trip too many to the well. If it didn't exist, I think you'd hear about half as much grumbling about this film being too derivative to the first film. The scene that made me audibly groan was when they showed "Death Star 1, Death Star 2, and Star Killer" on the screen as if you were ordering soft drinks at a fast food restaurant. As if the problem all along with the original Death Star was that it was too small and that these BIGGER bases are far scarier than the moon-sized, planet-destroying, original base. Then again, the original base could only destroy one planet at a time and this one kills like six nameless planets simultaneously so it fits the bigger is better mold. I don't know, I would have preferred if the First Order Armageddon device was something far more guerrilla in nature... or just something different then a giant planet killing sphere. Imagine if every Harry Potter book ended up with Harry fighting the same incarnation of Voldemort (I really shouldn't reference Harry Potter since I just watched the movies). All that said, I really liked it, just felt it had some warts. Obviously the first three could be picked apart as well and I'm still a huge fan of those, ewoks and all.
  21. I didn't like the shoehorn of Luke at the end, the too convenient R2 awakening, and the star killer base being just a bigger death star... three death stars is too much. So I'd stop short of putting above the original trilogy.
  22. Avoid the 0A Shin, the leg might fall off and if you're not in Japan you'll have no recourse. Arcadia has the 1s up for preorder and that is a solid and iconic toy so that'd be my recommendation. The Delta toys don't exist yet and who knows if they'll be good. The ozma 25s is also awesome provided you buy the renewal version and can find it close to retail.

It's right next to the Yeti replacement hip sockets for Arcadia VF-0 toys I purchased. Man... wish I could find those.

But the purpose of those thrusters is for forward propulsion in GERWALK mode... hence GERWALK thrusters... hence GERWALK thruster covers. EDIT - yes, this is a silly conversation, since those thrusters are covered n fighter mode anyway, there's no real need for a cover flap anyway.
