Were these the actual results of the voting? If so, I'm surprised the VT-1 dropped so far back. I would say that it's pretty promising that the Tomahawk came in fourth and the first three are for sure being/been made.
  2. Maybe it's not going to end with the next episode but instead end with a movie after the next episode. Wasn't that the plan when it was supposed to be a 1 cour series?
  3. I don't think BW would allow it. There was some weird stuff with the Yamato collapse but with all new stuff I think BW would be more vigilant.
  4. The leg extension isn't the root of the problem, it's a manufacture defect you either have or don't.

    No.

V1 or renewal? The v1s were pretty bad about yellowing, renewals seemed better.

The thing is, why release low demand toys like destroids when you can do valkyries from other series? And we've all seen plenty of toys become vaporware. Of course, Bandai has come this far so there's still plenty of reason to hold out hope. Maybe this event will include some visibility on upcoming releases which will calm the nerves.
  8. I saw this on the plane the other day and didn't think it was bad. I was expecting captain America civil war to be way better but in the end I thought both were fun and would probably give both a B... maybe I'm too easy on fluff films.
  9. I just caught this on a long flight so that means on a small screen which I think made all the flaws in the story a lot more obvious. It was fun. I never saw Age of Ultron and without it this movie has sort of a DYRL vibe where you need to make some safe assumptions off the bat. The Ant Man stuff was cheesy fun, so was the spidey stuff. The villainous plot was a bit odd. Why was there security footage in the middle of no where? Wasn't the Winter Soldier specifically told to make sure there was no witnesses? Why did the Winter Soldier face a camera to shoot it? Was this before anyone knew how cameras worked? How did Helmut know that Cap'n was in love with the Winter Soldier? How did Helmut know that the Winter Soldier originally performed the hit? How did Helmut know that Tony Stark didn't know? Why didn't Helmut just send Stark an email with the video footage once he had it? I'm sure there were lots of other little things that were head scratch worthy but probably fewer than the Winter Soldier movie had.

New series would be bad news for destroids I fear. Frontier seems a good choice with mold milking and similar mechs.
  11. I remember the early quote saying this series would play with tone from episode to episode.
  12. Maybe it will be released on DVD shortly after airing and it could be considered by those of us ignoring the streaming shenanigans as a straight to video show.
  13. If Arcadia really does reissue the SDF-1, I hope they give it a proper box like they have been with their other reissues. The box of the first toy really peeves me. A high end collectible in a box that seems a bit too small and is super flimsy... it's a bummer.
  14. I have a buddy that's an exec in Ford's truck division, he is VERY proud of the 17 super duty.
  15. Nah, that Garland is a brand new sculpt.
  16. Much skepticism is required but hope also.
  17. I still would speculate that Arcadia's anemic production stems from licensing issues. I suspect BW gave Bandai whatever they wanted due to Bandai sponsoring Macross Delta (that seems like what any reasonable company would do). I think that if Arcadia could give us more VF-1 toys they would. The increased price of Arcadia's VF-1 toys may also reflect the licensing issues. Perhaps the SDF Macross license is now nearly prohibitively expensive based on a % of sales or maybe they have to buy temporary usage of the license rather than having exclusive ownership. It's a bummer but it would explain a lot of things. Maybe that's what BW is doing with all the licenses now.
  18. There was a 1/48 custom on these boards, it came up in a thread not too long ago, and this CG model largely seems based on that custom. Pretty cool stuff both in terms of the custom and the CG work . EDIT - Watching it again, the 1/48 custom was likely just one of many influences. It's awesome work, I'm always super jealous of CG skills.
  19. Where is it pivoting that causes it to fall backwards? at the hips? at the feet? Have you recessed the feet in battroid mode? Obviously there is more weight back there so some poses may not work but I don't remember a neutral pose being a problem with the strike parts attached.
  20. Vf4 Vf1 v2 Vf19 Sound booster Strike parts GBP That leaves 4 unknown. I'd guess the Yf19 mold was another one though it was never released by Yamato we know it was in the works. In fact, the vf0 v2 also started as a Yamato project so we may only have 2 unaccounted for assuming the 0D isn't different from the S/A mold. Edit - I can math.
