Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in theaters Dec. 16, 2016
jenius replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Ep I is the low mark for me. I'm liking what I see but it remains to be seen if it can overcome the normal prequel issues. -
Are you sure the wings are supposed to be covered from the front? The coloring on that line art is not official. Is there other art to judge by? I don't have my M0 dvds handy.

And black Friday deal may be in your future.

It ain't cheap folks! Everyone who guessed about 18k wins. Hopefully some retailers offer nice discounts. Edit- hope the flash is washing out the color.
-
I just hope we keep seeing them so we have hope to hold on to.

The original 1/48 GBP, released 10 years ago, was 12,600 Yen. This is similar in size and features so I'd guess that's your bare minimum dream amount. Since Arcadia has generally shown significant mark-ups, I'm hoping they don't exceed 15,000 Yen. They should do something like include a 10% off your next VF-0 purchase with it.

I'd guess they will, might take several more standard releases first.

Macross World Convention 2016 - October 15, 2016
jenius replied to KiriK's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
I'll be in LA but won't be able to make it. Bummer. Hopefully next year! -
I don't think it's actually in development, probably just something they did as a crazy "what if?" As I recall, they had some other cool concepts that didn't seem like they were ever going to happen. Robotech is just a zombie, it's not getting obscure mecha merchandise.

Don't forget the new, probably vaporware, 1/35 vf1 from Bandai. There will be another vf1,there always is.
-
I'm betting it's vaporware, it hasn't been mentioned in a long time.
-
I can't say anything definitive but that's the impression I get.

They learned from Yamato, they'll give TV releases a bright white and DYRL a gray.

Let's say you were 3A and you were selling a $500 scopedog, so you ran the company (this is an internal debate I was having). Since the Scopedogs are so modular which would you do: 1) Sell multiple variants that are only slightly different: (clean, weathered, red shoulder, space war (green), marshy dog, turbo custom) or would you: 2) Sell conversion kits that comes with new legs and/or accessories? If I made a Melkia version, I would either include a purple bear conversion kit or sell one separately.

Let me know if you think that Ingram box is too big and that you'd be better off just selling the toy

Looks like the VF1 was fattened up on the back end in Delta so it would work without too much mass shifting. This reduces an issue with the HMR toys. The TV SDF might just mean that it was a TV show in universe.
-
I can go with that explanation, though the likely answer is that TV Hikaru came first and people complained he was too small so they went bigger in the DYRL mold and just aren't bothering to make a new TV mold.
-
Because that's how it's always been for hi metal between DYRL and TV variants. Edit - not saying it should be that way, just saying bandai is being oddly consistent.

Is there a legal/copyright issue that caused UN Spacy to become NUNS? Otherwise, I think they should farm some of that material for animation.
