I think TFA will become better or worse with the sequels. If the sequels explain Rey's back story and that she was trained in the force but was made to forget, that would help. If it's never addressed then it's a bigger weakness. Same with Kylo, if he's developed well and it links to TFA then great. I don't think we saw a Yoda character yet, that might be Luke... and may have been Luke previously. I would agree that the state of the universe is tough to parse... that's not something the sequels should be burdened with explaining. My guess is that they realized there was too much politics in the prequels so they swung the pendulum too far the other way. Star Killer base was dumb, viewing it's use was dumb. I think they should have done something more guerilla. However Star Killer Base could also seem less dumb if the sequels address the resources and backing of the First Order better. I was almost surprised that R1 didn't address Star Killer... like have Vader tell Krennick that his many delays have led the emperor to begin even grander projects under other directors. -
I got my one... really looking forward to it. I wish I collected more series because that Dougram looks fantastic.

I'm out of the loop... never even saw the announcement that MP-10K was in the pipeline then all of a sudden it was out... It was inevitable but it snuck up on me. I'm falling behind on my TF MP collecting... still gotta get Thrust and Shatterglass OP. -
I'm a perfectionist so I just edited my video review to drop the discussion on the knife stowing in fighter mode and added "Multi-drones" when discussing the "holographic thing-a-ma-bobbers". I also updated the text review to replace "fold quartz" with sensors and updated the conversation about the knife. I still can't get mine to sit perfectly seamlessly with the knife stowed but it's so close I don't think anyone but me (knowing to stare at it extremely closely) would notice the slight elevation increase at one seam. Sorry to everyone who left comments on the first Youtube video... it's gone now Feel free to leave a comment on the new video! Thanks a ton for those of you that pointed out the issues... I'd hate to leave bad info out there.

I'll try the knife in fighter mode again. I had a problem before where that side (using one) was like a couple mm higher near the shoulders. Since I was only using one the issue was obvious. It's possible though that one arm was just rotated wrong or something, perhaps I jumped too quickly to my conclusion. If I can get it to work I'll add a mea culpa comment to the review.

I'm on a Sandy Bridge E computer still... it has served me wonderfully but I think my next rig will get built after the next black Friday. With any luck that will be the point where my website goes to 4K video and pictures. It looks like it will be Skylake E for now... What's an Intel Opteron drive? -

Yeah... Messer's is going to be nigh impossible to get. Messer's gets used by the best pilot and then gets taken over by the hero for numerous episodes. If I had to define one valk as being the most iconic in the series, it's his. Delaying posting my review for one more day. I decided it'd be fun to do some battroid group shots with other toys.

I'm pretty sure that's with ankles collapsed, I'll check it out again as I'll be shooting a transformation video shortly. I was checking out the art and the instruction manual and it seems like ankles collapsed is the default position... I'm no VF-31 expert though so let me know if you think I'm off there. Seto, thanks for the quick answer. I got another one for you (or anyone else), do you happen to have the battroid size of a VF-171? Looks like Macross Mecha Manual has fighter dimensions only.

Fighter mode is spot on 1/60 then. Battroid is going to be a lot trickier to figure out given all the different things that can extend and different angles that can be achieved... I had it at 24CM at first measure which is a little small... should be 25.5...

Can someone tell me the length of the VF-31 in fighter mode and the height in battroid? I want to make sure I do the scale math when I post my review.

I love Star Wars but I can criticize the crap out of it (especially if we include ROTJ and any of the prequels in the conversation)... but some of the "critiques" to me seem to be people who are looking for reasons to whine. She's at a point in time where they just made off with the actual thing that they were trying to get... that specific moment where she is handed (literally!) victory... and you want her to be sad? It doesn't make sense. Her happiness at that moment in time doesn't imply she never felt any sadness for anyone that died as part of the battle. It's like you need that moment to be longer so she can go through the whole Kubler Ross thing. We are seeing her for like 15 seconds... it's okay for her to be happy and not express grief. And being like "crap, all those people are dead, but... hope!" would miss the point. -

Did Vader even see the plans? Saying it was wrong for Leia to be happy after the mission succeeded within hours of the rebellion seemingly giving up isn't finding fault with a movie... it's projecting some odd slant on it. In fact, her saying they received "hope" was drumming on the theme. For her to be down-trodden wouldn't have fit nearly as well. We only get her for a brief moment, it's okay to presume that she'll feel the weight of the dead some time after the escape. -

Wishlist for Delta movie: 1) Extended flashback where we get to see the Draken II predecessor in other modes 2) Extended flashback that includes glorious VF-22 action 3) Armor packs for VF-31 that get used for much awesomeness 4) Make each movie (if there is more than one) able to function as a standalone movie as much as possible. 5) Ditch the doomed trip to Windermere, have Arad just tell a story about how cool old man Immelmann was in battle (great chance for that VF-22 and Draken II predecessor stuff I was looking for) and explain to Hayate how he disobeyed orders to reduce the magnitude of destruction. Let Mikumo be taken during a battle instead. 6) If you're going to have a special NUNs group show up, give them VF-25s to complement their 171s.

I thought the Spartan was going to be a web exclusive? If it's not, I wouldn't be worried about preorder madness... it seems the HMR series is beyond that now with all releases becoming obtainable after release since the VF-1S Hikaru.
