Oh yeah, I'm sorry, I was talking about the VF-1, 1/115 for the YF-19 and YF-21 may be right. Sorry for my confusion! I would love to see an HMR YF-21 and YF-19.. hopefully not soon though because I'm still feeding my SDF Macross need.

Economies of scale for one, and we don't know their licensing agreement for another but I'm guessing they're paying a much bigger cut for each release to BW or something and that's why they're being very slow with the releases and only targeting the most popular. If we all know that everyone wants Max & Miria or one of the other releases, I'm sure Arcadia does too so there must be something causing their hesitation. This is also like the weathering versions Yamato used to do. They would allocate like 300 of production for the special treatment and make a little more margin off them. I'm sure they'll make 'special versions' to order and just think of it as a nice option for the diehards.

I have the GnuDou measurement written down as 12.7CM tall which is exactly 1/100. HMR is 14.3CM which is 1/89.

There's that thing though where he seems to profess his love for Roid... the other knights are also seen being into women or having families. I'm pretty sure we're supposed to think he's Valk sexual and then go "oh" when he says he loves Roid.

It's easy to complain. If he punched him we could say "hey, I thought wookies ripped arms from sockets. " if the scene was deleted we could say, "this movie needed more wookie." I'd say it was deleted for good reason. Easy pass on that scene.

Arcadia just reissued it so look at what that's selling for and then knock some money off because yours is a version that has shoulders people fear and a rainbow canopy that can also be problematic.

We did get the girl couple in Walkure (although, I would say it was handled very gingerly). It seems natural to me that they would also give us a gay man in the same series and I feel like it was alluded to. Remember there's the scene where the twins suggest Keith might have a woman in mind? That kind of lays out for us that there has never been an instance where Keith has shown interest in a woman. Also, I swear he says something like "That day we flew together, I realized you were the wind beneath my wings" (paraphrasing very badly off of memory). I think it's an unrequited love, nothing gives the impression that Roid knew Keith was jonesing for him or was also gay (though there's nothing that suggests he's heterosexual either).

Why do you think it's a heterosexual gaze? I was of the opinion he professed his love of Roid just before killing him.

Someone before came up with a simple detent system that locked the wing in either position (forward or high speed). I'll go looking for it after work if someone doesn't find it sooner.

Oh that might be tough... I'll be in the last few months of my master's program so things might slow way down... it'll happen eventually and I'll try to make it worth the wait.

I didn't think there was much discussion about Lady M nor did I think she was discussed in a way that led me to believe there would be a big reveal. The head of SMS wasn't quite as far behind the veil but he was another character that got nearly no attention but left hints like he should get more. I felt the MegaRoad 01 thing was just a wink to the old fans, especially how it comes out as a rumor from someone we're not sure we trust. I'd say that arms dealer is also a major weakness of the plot overall as he's a little too convenient at couple crucial points. We know the Windermereans don't trust outsiders but here's a guy with the keys to the kingdom with full faith going around selling them out. What were the big unanswered questions about Protoculture? I thought that was the one thing that Delta actually did wrap up. Definitely agree about the ending being very 'meh' as it concerned the Windermere cast. I really didn't get Lloyd at all. He's moving too slow... then he's literally a back stabber... then he's found out and its shrugged off... it just didn't feel like it flowed well. Also, was Keith in love with Lloyd/Roid? -
Pre-orders are gone but it's too early for concern if you haven't gotten one yet. So far it seems like just enough will be available for everyone who keeps up on the ball. The people who go looking for it weeks after release may be in a world of hurt. No3l doesn't need to worry. If he can't find one I'll make sure he gets one... but hopefully he gets one.

I'm totally on board. I much preferred Frontier to 7 or Delta and I'd say Delta and 7 have the similar sins. 7 has predictable repetition though where Delta has exposition. -

I don't think Maz is meant to be a parallel to Yoda... I get what you're saying about the physical attributes but wouldn't she more be a parallel to ObiWan with Luke being the new Yoda? It was old Ben that handed Luke the light saber. It also might just be an instance of TFA being its own movie and having a character that is a small alien that seems a little too conveniently placed and knowledgeable. -

I think your hope about the music, while understandable to us older fans, is very unlikely. As much as we would like Macross to be about selling transformable jets, it's now more about selling CDs... but at least it's been pretty successful at that so we still get more stories where the curtain is pulled back on protoculture more and more.
