It was an exclusive... so never decently priced. I have a fighter mode only one of you're interested

I don't know, unlicensed goods are a lot less wrong in my book than kos. Unlicensed goods are sometimes good for Fandom, like all the fun Star Trek stuff, but obviously it can go too far and be bad. For example, if you made a Hover tank toy, HG would send ninjas to kill you in your sleep but no licensed company would ever make that toy so they would kill your project for no gain and their own fans would have nothing to encourage their continued interest.

I find a monster reissue unlikely, it may be a real collectors item some day.

It's confusing but... http://macross2.net/m3/sdfmacross/vf-1j-gbp.htm So today we all just call it "GBP" to avoid that kind of confusion.

Instead of a more powerful Valkyrie, I suspect a Delta movie would just have all the VF-31s using super parts. Hayate would also get strike or tornado parts.

So when NY took forever to ship me my Arcadia Reaction armor the packaging hinted at the reason. Unlike HLJ that has a supply of HLJ boxes and just throws in shipping material to make your item fit one of their standard sizes (usually by vacuum sealing your toy to a piece of cardboard), NY actually customizes boxes to get them as small as possible. It's definitely not as safe/sturdy as HLJ's boxes. So with NY, if you're lucky, what you ordered perfectly fits a box they have. If what you ordered is in between box sizes, you probably have more of a delay as they cut up and tape a box for you. Crazy.....

Bandai really ought to announce a standalone GBP accessory. That would help the remaining standalone Hikaru inventory sell.

You can start the order process and see all the options and costs before you commit.

I'm definitely not in it for the paycheck! Doing the reviews helps me justify owning the toys and also makes it easier for me to sell them because I have a ton of pictures and descriptions of the toys so it's easy for me to revisit them when they're gone. I eventually thin the herd out to one of each mold and I keep that one for comparison purposes later. When I first started buying toys, I bought a bunch of toys I regretted so there's also the good feeling that I'm helping people avoid that.

Well, that was easily the most time consuming review I've ever done of a single toy... what a bear. The transformation guide is up but it's too late for me to get the video review put together... might take a day or two. The article is up and that hits the important stuff. I might add a couple more pics as I go through the video review and check what I comment on there that I missed in the write-up. Phew... I had such plans for this weekend.. oh well.

Oh yes, for sure, it will definitely put a ceiling on the value of the originals. I doubt they'll do the rainbow canopies which will be cool because you'll instantly be able to see if you're getting an original or KO on many of the releases.
-
If Arcadia didn't buy the display stand mold from the folding Yamato then it's possible that "knock off" is made from the original mold.

I have no time for kits which is super sad because I have a scheme and custom I'm dieing to do.

The Elint was already a premium finish release. Amazing amount of Tampo on it.

I can only hope you're wrong. It'd be such a shame to have that line falter when it has all the promise in the world of becoming the most complete SDF line ever.

I wonder if the ball jointed head means Hikaru and Max will get DYRL vf1A toys that come with optional S heads.

They won't do the Cheyenne, they learned from Yamato not to do destroids. After the SV51 they will probably do the ghost and vf0 reissues.
