It's a super stupid missed opportunity. They've already done a stealth VF-1J in a much more attractive paint scheme than this one. They could have done a cannon fodder VF-1J, an Alaska Base VF-1A, a Cavaliers VF-1A or VF-1J, or a Ben Dixon VF-1A, a Kakizaki VF-1A DYRL, a VF-1S Max from DYRL. All of those are toys we'll never see in a regular release so why not make those toys the event exclusives? Seems crazy to me. Even if they want to do "custom" schemes, why not a LowVis or a Zentraedi colors version?

I think it will be much better than the VF-2SS. They did the VF-2SS from scratch based on the drawings they doodled in their notepads in junior high school. This toy, they hired someone that had already made one before and, presumably, had learned from his mistakes. The thing that bothers me is that they hired the guy that did a terrible job in the first place and it looks like he only learned to fix some superficial problems. The bigger problems, like head placement in fighter/soldier, chest placement in soldier, wonky knees, and huge feet are all still there. Yeah, he knows now that he fins should fold into the arms (seriously, WTF?) and the chest intakes should be bigger than pankcake nipples. Those are big improvements... but wow, still so far from right. I'm a big Legioss fan though so maybe I'm just being too critical.

Maybe this thread should just be renamed "Robotech Toys"? I'll pick up a Battlecry edition Rick. I wonder if that will be the same exclusive for Comic-con. I'm going to Comic-con and won't pay a premium for it if I can just grab it in person.

Ugh... NY wants 5,900 to ship via EMS. This must be big or there's a mark-up there. Not sure I can bring myself to do that.

Focker premium finish version for July? Well, looks like I'll be reviewing the Hikaru version and then selling it off.. I don't need both. This bodes well for the M&Ms being available in premium finish versions also right?

The M&Ms have the notoriously prone to scratching white paint on the areas on either side of the head that slide into the chest during transformation. Cheap KOs would make transformation to battroid a lot less scary.

Arcadia will solve the glossy plastic on the YF-29 toys when they get the license in 15 years.

Meh, I got money on an Arcadia ghost in a year or two... and hopefully ghost bundle reissues with a fixed leg on the VF-0A!

Agreed, and we were told how many molds Arcadia bought from Yamato and it seemed unlikely they bought these.
