I'll bite on 12+ assuming it shows up at the normal retailers at a decent price. I'm guessing Sunstreaker's price reflects lower repaint abilities.- 17094 replies

The licensee fee is probably a function of demand. Arcadia, Bandai, and who knows who else probably bid it up. As KOs come in to play they may be less willing to do that so the cost should drop organically. As for wider distribution, all these manufacturers are deathly scared of duds so they'd rather underestimate demand and then have to do a reissue a year later than flood the market with a stinker. That's a benefit to being a KO, someone else takes the risk of laying an egg and then you get to just produce the successful toys.

Forgive my ignorance, what's an Atlas? I bought that model in the hopes some day I would have time to do it... looks great.

Yup, anymoon is my site. Not sure about who operates CollectionDX but VF5SS is certainly associated.

I'm measuring the Spartan at 13.5CM (to the top of the shoulder). That makes him 1/84 scale. Anyone come up with a smaller measurement or does that sound about right? (Comparatively, the HMR VF-1 is 1/89 scale)

That was my thought as well. NY entertains me with their shipping. Homemade boxes, random delays, etc. I'm usually not in a rush though and I go airmail instead of EMS since they aren't cheap on shipping costs. HLJ has delays too, particularly if you switch from PW to ship. I do appreciate NY for exclusives and discount codes though.

I haven't seen Sunstreeker up at HLJ or NY yet. It's not an Asian exclusive or something is it? I'm also curious to see what changes they have in store for Masterpiece Lambo.- 17094 replies

It is ironic to slip "premium" on a box that is decidedly un-premium... we tried really hard on this one guys... Then we threw it in whatever we had lying around. For the record, I am amused more than perturbed.

I feel like three or four of reach would be necessary so you could have squads.

I don't get the 'exploited' argument. Are KOs made by elves? I think they're made by similar people in similar conditions. So if the person who took the risk and made the effort to innovate is wrong for using cheap labor... how are they worse than the KO operators? Yamato is a good example. Innovate or die means taking risks and taking risks can bankrupt you. KO operators take much less risk and almost never innovate. They don't bare the cost of research, they don't bare the cost of failure, and they screw their workers as much as any one else. There is a lot of stuff Yamato made that no other company will ever make again so some KOs don't bother me. The stuff that's directly competing is bad for the company trying to produce NEW stuff. Third party stuff is a different story, those guys are bringing new things to the table.

I was hoping they'd make it an effective 50% off on the Monster...

I don't get how the lock worked so well on my OHM toys but it doesn't work nearly as well on HMR... Such an odd backward step.

I thought we heard somewhere that they were going to drop big news toward the end of the year... just gotta be patient since we already know the releases through September.

So now that a reissue of Megs has been announced, anybody have suggestions where I can buy one without the orange plug? I'd normally do robotkingdom but if anyone else has another suggestion, I'm all ears.- 17094 replies

Jump to 4:45 then jump to 5:59 If anyone has a Hi-Metal R backpack that locks into place as well as the OHM VF-1J Max I'm handling in the video, let me know!
