Be careful with HLJ's return policy, you have 10 days to pack it up and get it out or they'll tell you to go fish. You might be better off since you've already reached out to them but they're strict on that generally. I don't think the'll wait for you to get a replacement part and then attempt surgery and then send it back to them.

Well, you have essentially the exact same toy, so are the new markings worth it to you? That's all it comes down to.
-
Ya know... spent $500 on a toy and instantly had a loose part... kinda sours the experience. Also, ripping a glued on part with pliers could prove unfun and then, what if he screws up gluing on a new part? Who wants to perform surgery on a new toy let alone a $500 one? I mean, if he's a modeler in his spare time this might not be too stressful but otherwise it sounds pretty lame. Yes, it's still a whole lot better than being left high-and-dry like he would be if this were a Macross toy.

My honeymoon was also short-lived, I had a foot break right off :(. They seem pretty cool on the customer service side of things though. It sounds like if I mail it back (at my own expense) they will refurb it for me (and presumably mail it back to me at their expense). I'm working on my review now but a spoiler... this toy is pretty awesome in all respects except durability. It's gorgeous and fun... provided nothing breaks. The part that broke on my toy seems like it should be made of metal... it's a plastic U that takes pressure in every possible direction. If Arcadia or anyone else ever revisits Votoms I hope it gets done in 1/24 or 1/18 scale.

Second... Yamato never reissued it, first release for Arcadia... not sure if you want to count the PF as a third reissue.
-
Is it a ball joint and socket and they're telling you to replace the original socket? Would the old clear nail polish in the socket trick solve the problem?

When shipped.

Do you think "closing" means starting? I assumed that had something to do with the November release but that wouldn't make a lot of sense.
-
Well Max is theoretically due out in December and we haven't been able to preorder him yet so this is probably not going up for preorder until January right?

Did you go retail or exclusive?

Just referring to year-end sales... they happen around the end of the year
-
Yeah... Defender may be a good black Friday sale item... I may end up with a squad.
-
NY, AE, Big in Japan, HLJ might but that has been very limited lately.
-
Here's to hoping for a Tomahawk preorder soon... and that the paint looks more like the Yamato or that model then the lavender we keep seeing.
-
A foreboding lack of pricing.

Oh the SDF2... that was a thing. Hey, those mounds are important because Hollywood will need them. The RT movie is the RT story so the movie may very well start with Zor escaping from the Masters on the SDF1 with the protoculture matrix. He might even survive and work with humans to harness Robotechnology or his ship may crash 50k years ago and he might be what leads to human evolution. Hopefully they change the name of protoculture... I would predict that the Zentraedi will be re-imagined as either a race of modified Masters used as slaves or an alien group the Masters have effectively enslaved and the victory will come from humans making them realize that and turning against the Masters. Basically Dolza replaced by The Triumvirate. That was a long rant having nothing to do with comics... I apologize.

Macross Δ (Delta) Movie Gekijō no Walkūre (Passionate Walkure)
jenius replied to no3Ljm's topic in Movies and TV Series
Moving Makina and Reina into background roles feels like a positive to me. I'd also prefer a more military personality for Reina which would suit her background role better. I hate any depiction of hacking so hopefully the movie can stay away from that nonsense. Oddly, I enjoyed that Mirage floundered and didn't join the group. If the love triangle were better sorted it could have been nice for her to go Hayate style super saiyan in the conclusion and save the day true Jenius style saving Hayate but losing him to Freiya. A better character arch might have been for her to be jealous of Walkure and particularly Freiya only to accept in the end that she walks the warrior's path.- 810 replies

Right, so she can be dropped with virtually no harm to the story... i think it would actually improve things. If she were a bridge bunny you can still wedge in the lesbian thing too.- 810 replies
