Yeah, I'm not sure I'll pay full price for a Zeta... But maybe.

I got mine too, the art on the package is beautiful.

Would be great if a standard reissue happened concurrently...

Beautiful pics and excellent usage of those lights!

I'm working on my Bandai Hi-Metal R review... I was flabbergasted when I realized that the fighter mode on that toy, which actually could pivot the leg to where it should go right beneath the wing, still doesn't do this! In order to get everything lined up you need to have the intake a little lower than the internal intake under the chest. What a bummer. Good luck in your effort to make the Evolution Toys VF-2SS pull it off! The leg lock on the Evolution Toys is so bad that whatever you do will probably hold more securely. Edit, I was looking at the world wrong in that post. It's not so much where the intakes are on the HMR but rather the wings. If the wings could have been just a bit higher than the intakes could have come up a bit higher and that would have made the world better for me

9? No, you need 12. I think if you buy them all at the same time you get a 13th free. That's the way it works at my donut shop at least.

Yaco would probably know but I don't know how to ask him.

This site is not helpful for recasts and probably not Kos unless they're original works... Like third party stuff. There does seem to have been some lenience in this thread but that was probably more because the product hadn't actually hit the streets. I dunno, but I'm useless at taobao.

Can you link to an example? How I envision it sounds kind of jarring. Are you thinking of that instead of an intro or in lieu of a permanent watermark in the lower left hand corner like the last video?
-
I think it's easier and cheaper to add the watermark in post than to incorporate in the backdrop, the trick is to find the spot that detracts the least but it will have to be a tiny bit bothersome to serve it's function. The backdrop right now is just photo paper (changed from a white cloth muslin). The paper will also be gray going forward so I won't wash out white toys as bad. You'll see it for the first time on the HMR 2SS review I'm working on. That said, if you know of a good way to get a logo printed on a backdrop let me know, it certainly sounds like a good solution. I hear you on the intro length, my goal is to make an intro that is functional. Yeah, it needs the name and URL, but it also needs to establish some of the basics. Who makes the toy? What scale is it? What line is it from? What show was it in? I also seem to be doing a poor job differentiating my transformation guides from reviews so hopefully the intro can help there. I get a lot of people that comment on the guides like they should be reviews and the reviews like they should be guides. That may be unavoidable but I'm going to try to make it more clear (and I really like that format so I don't plan on changing it). The cards that direct transformation videos to the reviews, and vice versa, should help. I do promise that my intro will be a consistent time once I've settled on the format so that, for people who don't need it, they can skip straight to the same mark every time to avoid it. I think 24 seconds is a pretty tight window, maybe I can get it down to an even 20. I really appreciate the feedback guys!

The computer and electronics super geek thread
jenius replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I got a 1950X around Black Friday for less than $800. I'm trying to move up to having a 4K computing existence and I didn't want all that encoding to kill me. I overbuilt my wife a computer which is secretly my back-up computer in case things with AMD didn't go smoothly. I can say the AMD machine is an encoding monster (though my point of reference is my previous SandyBridge E machine). Other than the amazingly fast encoding times, the AMD machine has had lots more issues than the wife's computer. Of course, during that same time, my wife's computer has just searched the Internet for recipes while my computer has been living in several different Adobe Apps and compiling/encoding. I also OC'ed the Threadripper but left my wife's computer at stock speeds so that might also account for some of my crashes and oddities along the way. Example of an oddity: both machines have the same NVME SSDs for boots. The Intel machine boots as you sneeze. The Threadripper takes what feels like approximately the same time my old SandyBridge took. I can go in BIOS and enable "quick boot" or something, and maybe I should, but I haven't bothered looking into it yet. Both computers are brand new motherboards so I may need to do a BIOS update at some point also. RAM-wise the Threadripper is using 3200CL17 while the Intel machine is using something faster but I doubt that means much. The wife's computer is an adorable ITX rig, Metis Plus. She's thrilled and I like knowing that if my computer ever has problems I can go fire hers up and keep working. -

I'm running a threadripper on one computer and coffee lake on another, both are gravy. -
I think he did smack him... Remember though, they're at a Jedi Temple, in a special place, pretty easy to explain away. Also helps explain (with Luke's death) why Jedi bothered going places instead of just casting themselves.

That's because on 1% of the established SW fan-base ever cared for or delved into the extended universe. So, 1% right now are like "That doesn't jive with my understanding of their tactics!" and the other 99% are going by the movies which are all "Pew pew, pew pew" without too much thought extolled on tactics. Still, it seemed a pretty thin plot device to pull off the fighters and the whole "who is faster in space" question.

Okay, here's basically part 2 of the previous video. I've used the Youtube branding feature to create a little "subscribe now" waterwork. Unfortunately, and inexplicably, Youtube doesn't scale this with resolution so in HD this icon is tiny. So, I've added another watermark but it's a solo watermark that's transparent in an area that is almost always occupied by my arm so it will hopefully be much less intrusive. I've also started using Youtube cards and end screens which I don't think will make anyone super excited but I'm following "best practices" now. Anyway, here's the 'newer' format... obviously it will be a bit of a 'work-in-process' for a while but I think this is good enough for me to start moving forward.
-
Thanks for the feedback guys, I think I have a less intrusive solution, I'll probably get another practice video up tonight.

That's the regult and/or missile effect stand.

Hey everybody, thanks for all the feedback when I was going through this. I've tried to address much of it in the new format. The content of this video is less than exciting but please check it out and let me know what you think! I pulled together an intro which would only change a bit from video to video and added an overlay over the entire video. FYI, my channel has a name different from the web address because I don't own 'anymoon.com'. So I call it Scorched Earth Toys so I can retain that name if I ever have to pack my bags and move to another website. Fortunately, these days, that seems very unlikely...

Anakin is in TPM for 66% of that film, Rose shows interest in Finn for 2 seconds. The admiral is bad at communications and an unlikable character. The antagonists and their motivations and even machinations in TPM are ill conceived start to finish. Seriously, the film doesn't even make sense if you stop to think about it. What hurt is Naboo feeling? What kind of blockade lets ships right through? How were they even really doing a blockade since they appeared to be guarding a singular spot in space? TLJ is not even in the same ballpark of bad. I mean, I get not liking it's taking the universe backward, that's fair.

It could be for the frog keepers too. If that's an area where something collects that bigger fish prey on it might be pretty easy to hit something regardless of how clear the water is. It'd be like rays near where fishermen gut fish... They're everywhere and they're not scared. Now, getting it all the way up, that's impressive.
