Yeah, Beagle and MegaHouse don't count. But wait, why would Moshow count then?

Just the delay turned me off.

I'm still waiting on a store I'm comfortable with to offer it. You can get Moshow stuff on amazon so I'm expecting wider availability soon.

That sized pilot would work for me.

I'm a little shocked it's not available at more places yet, it seems like it could start shipping soon from all the different sample pics.

Correct, Bandai appears to have used the Yammy V2 as its inspiration on the DX VT-1 backpack which is too bad. The statement earlier about the brace making the toy friendlier to handle is a fair point. It would put a lot of pressure on whatever backpack locking mechanism Bandai had chosen if the go-to move is to lift the toy by the boosters in battroid mode. Still, if Bandai ever does release that 1/32 VF-1, I would hope they would go with a locking mechanism rather than a non-canon bracket. It really wouldn't take much engineering. Imagine if there were pegs that went down into the arms in fighter mode that then rotated backward to prevent the backpack from having room to swing back down in battroid.

I finally got an updated invoice and paid for mine. They wanted an additional $90 for expedited shipping so boat it is.

Hmm, I'm not following the problem. The hinge is metal on the DX toy. I would imagine the lock being down at the hinge rather than the up above hook Yamato did. The beauty of the Yamato hook was that it works for a double-hinge. If I were engineering the toy, I would probably put locks on each one of the hinges separately rather than do the hook. Since the backpacks don't weight a ton, the locks don't have to be overly robust. What's kind of crazy is that the original Hi-Metal VF-1 does have a backpack lock, you just press downward on it in battroid mode and it locks into position. Bandai removed it for the Hi-Metal R and didn't even try on the DX.

Well yes, if you had a lock you wouldn't also have the bracket... isn't the bracket just something toy companies invented because they didn't do a lock? I don't think brackets appear in any of the line art.

The DX had removable vertical stabilizer so they should have given us regulation and small stabilizers. The real problem is that the DX doesn't have a backpack lock so Bandai used those new clips (repeating Yamato's mistake). The 1/48 Yamato had the top hook that would have solved this problem but there are so many more elegant solutions to a backpack lock that should have been employed all along. Blah!

It looks great. I've never been sold on the cockpit or the idea of the pilot and KC is just confirming all my suspicions.

Maybe it's the nosecone that needs to go up more?

If I had to guess, BBTS will add an order for a Battlepod Pilot figure and mark it as paid into your inventory. The part that will screw you is that you will need to pay for shipping whenever its available.

The box art is good... but why do the VFs have a yellow outline around them?
-
I think Sentinel will make the blue Tread a fairly basic offering with minimal accessories with the hope it sells really well. If it does sell well, I think they'll include numerous accessories with a green follow-up to incentivize people to get that one. I doubt we'll ever get a red one since it never appeared in Mospeada. Though, if they were smart, they would run off like 50 red ones for convention exclusives while they were making the green ones. I know i'd go full pokemon on them! It's also possible Sentinel will finally make an accessory kit for the Legioss and maybe that would include some Tread option parts.

I think that's a pretty good way of viewing the MoShow reinterpretation. It's now an Iron Man suit with a motorcycle and the motorcycle converts to enhance the iron man suit. Sure, I can go with that. The Sentinel Tread looks to be sneaky complicated with its magically disappearing cockpit and integrated connecting boom. Are they going to pull off the landing gear as an integrated solution also? I'm very curious to see LOTS more of that toy. It looks like it may come with a second set of larger fixed posed hands and an integrated set of hands. I wonder if they won't include a pilot since we should all have the pilot already from our other toys I know the Legioss toys have connecting ports for weapon upgrades. Maybe after the Tread release they'll sell the parts to make that fantastic Tread art with the missiles since the Tread appears to have hard points (assuming they're functional).

Wish I knew who would get it first so I could buy there. Is this going to be at the normal stores too?

Ooh that would have made a great UHD collectors set.

Yes, the first reissue had better shoulders and a tighter wing flap. I believe the correct translation is "second reissue". I'm so happy about this news.

Hmm, wonder where I can get the Moshow from to get it quickest. I assume if I buy it from BBTS I'll have to watch other people playing with it for two months before I get to.

So curious to get mine... I wonder if this elbow thing is just a glue/manufacture issue.
