Could be the most original movie with a robot

Wow...I'm amazed this move isn't a remake of something...is it possible there is still creativity left in Hollywood? -
Me gusto mucho, espero que HG deje completar el proyecto. Mala onda que este proyecto es mucho mas que ellos han hecho durante los ultimos 5 años. Los felicito por un excelente trabajo.

Dredd 3D - in theaters Sept. 21, 2012
Zor Primus replied to Zor Primus's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
This looks like a darker, grittier Dredd...as it should be! Urban is a spectacular actor who sinks into each role in almost perfect manner. I'm looking forward to this. -
Hey guys, to any and all members that have Dish Network...looks like they are dropping AMC, and along with it the Walking Dead. I don't understand the money hunger behind these deals with networks and providers but alas here we go again. There is a petition website www.keepamc.com where you guys can do your best to keep this from happening. Good luck!

It'd be cool on a blu-ray release when mention or conversation refers to a previous movie you'd see an * and a pop up saying "For more on this, check out Avengers Movie." just like the old comics used to do hehe... Also I do not like the Iron Patriot idea...

I'm lost...the zombies in the first movie were Romero type walkers/roamers...now they are runners? And weren't all the capitals mentioned here destroyed? Why do they still look pristine...now I have to spend a week watching these movies again lol...

Well if you didn't know him off the bat then the explanation would be a little long to post. Nevertheless, knowledge is power:

The movie was amazing! From start to finish it was pure awesome, win, epic, +1, whatever internet lingo you want to use! There was so much to absorb that a second showing is in the cards for this week. Back when I collected comics I’ll admit I was more X-Men/Wolverine than Avengers. Still you learn enough about super hero lore if you read enough comics, which in my case was true. HELICARRIER! I was amazed at how well the actors played together, almost as if the previous movies had already brought them together. No time was wasted with character story. Well maybe Black Widow and Hawkeye got the air time they needed, and who’s gonna complain about seeing more Scarlett? Those two were great and I hope we can see them get their own movie, or at least an animated feature to tie in their backgrounds. Loki was spectacular! Very well played and true to his comic persona. I was also pleased with Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury. Anyone can pull a two minute cameo, but having more screen time made me see he was the right choice to play Fury. HELICARRIER! The sfx weren’t overwhelming, even during the last battle. Some of the camera shots looked like they were straight out of the comics. I’ll have to say, Hulk stole the show throughout the movie. Downey Jr. was born to play Stark…Bring on Iron Man 3! So onto the big reveal after the cast credits Avengers 2 will be epic…sadly we probably won’t see the Infinity Gauntlet, at least not on the level of the comics. X-Men, Wolverine, Spiderman, Fantastic 4, Galactus, Silver Surfer, Punisher, Daredevil & Ghost Rider, all owned by other movie corps…don’t see any team ups happening there. Guess we’ll see…The Cosmic Cube could be tied into the tesseract, so there is a base for a truly cosmic event…

Anti-UN would it include a still alive Soviet Union and Eastern Bloc? These political boundaries changed considerably in the time of SDF:M and Zero...I would think NATO vs Warsaw Pact if it was still the 80's. Today? It’s a crap shoot...USA, Britain, Germany, and most of Western Europe would probably be UN, along with Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Panama, Peru, and the rest of the former British and Spanish Caribbean islands would join too. Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina, Nicaragua, Cuba would not. I’d bet Russia, China, N Korea, the rest of Eastern Europe would make the bulk of the Anti-UN. The Middle East is another enigma, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iraq, Israel would be in…Iran, Siria, Palestine no. Problem with this question is that it’s so dynamic on the politics of the age. In the 80’s it was USA vs USSR, now? Most of the Anti-UN countries I mentioned all share the same dislike for mostly American policy that makes us look “Imperialistic”. Now please let’s not turn this into a political debate. I think I listed countries specific enough to be considered common knowledge with their beliefs. Granted this list could change easily either way, no one knows how any country would react if an alien spaceship crashed on Earth and its secrets revealed not only over-technology but also the proof that we are not alone and we could face danger from the stars. Back to the original question though…I would support a unified world government. With the idealistic and romantic view that we as a species can grow up beyond our petty differences and can achieve greatness when faced with an insurmountable challenge.

I'll bite... - write an interesting story: Give us an example of an "interesting story" from your perspective...Sorry dude but if you're going to flame at least try and back it up with something more tangible other then crying like a baby about how a tale was a train wreck but not have a single example backing such a serious opinion. - have believable, adult and relatable characters: If this is your problem there are plenty of programs on AMC or Lifetime for you to watch. Think about this, how old were you when the original series came out? Fast forward 25-30 years...guess what you got old, not the ideals or characters of the show. I will argue with anyone here about this...WE GOT OLD guys...open your minds and think back a few years. If you can't get in touch with your younger self and enjoy some juvenile fun then stop watching anime. - keep the moe at minimal levels: Anyone that hates on Ranka-chan deserves to be tossed into a fiery volcano. - make the music a part of the story not THE STORY: In Macross if there is NO MUSIC then there is NO STORY...simple as that buddy... - fire Kawamori: Fire yourself and go watch the Sentinels.
