    Well if they go with an F-18 or F-22 Raptor I'll be happy. Question here is what air force are they going to set up as the "enemy" when the time comes. Not to pat the USA too much on the back but other then Israel and the Russians who really can fly against us? China? Hmm...doubt anything they have is superior...numbers maybe...holy crap a TIE like swarm, now thats something I'd pay to see.

    Agreed...the "brains" was to add flare to the topic hehe...Personally the idea of a zombie not being a lurker and have the same or higher speed and strength of a human is terrifying. Have you read World War Z?

    I've always had an appreciation for zombie movies. Romero movies or World War Z by Max Brooks have been my faves in the genre. Now AMC is taking to TV another story based on a series of graphic novels. Looks like we'll be seeing a Jericho type show except instead of nukes, we get zombies! The Walking Dead-AMC Premieres on Halloween...I'm looking forward to it.

    Hmm I don't think RT was ever directed to teens/young adults...I was neither when the show came out and if both were presented to me today I'd have to say Macross appeals to an older crowd. Then again I'm sadly not in Japan and cannot say how the commercials, publications are directed to. "Robotech, to the rescue!" is defiantly not a teen/young adult styled commercial lol...so RT imo was for the ages 6-12 group. And if you looked at the monstrosity that was the Matchbox Veritech that thing was hardly a choke hazard

    First, good to hear from you again Tom. Just had a thought cross my mind...lets say in a perfect world HG and BW settle and Macross is finally allowed into the US. What would the target demographic be? I highly doubt they'll go after the same group as HG did with RT. I guess we would have to see the actual successes with other more mature anime like Evangelion, Cowboy Bepop or Bleach. Thoughts?

    Actually no seasoning is needed, I'd toss the plate and cook something else... Personally I'd prefer it not being a reboot...as mediocre as Superman Returns was, the legacy of Christoper Reeves character is something I'd like to see continue. Roth did a good enough job capturing the orginal Kent/Superman. To change that you'd have to completely revamp Supes similar to what they did with the Dark Knight.

    To see Jason write this shows how far HG, RT.com and its staff have gone to not only smother the fans but completely strangle them to death. At least here we can openly debate, both positvely and negatively without fear of getting banned. Personally what happens in RTLand makes little differance to me, I'll find out anything new RT here. The alternative is sitting on rt.com and hearing the washed rinsed and repeated what ifs, when ifs, why ifs and how ifs...

    One of the things that made MF so great was the nods to the original series. From the love triangle, to the music, to the political intrigue. Can that magic happen again? Probably not for another 25+ years. 25 episodes was not long at all...but I do see the point with perhaps shrinking a tale a bit to make the characters fewer yet more personal. There are plenty of colony fleets to choose from and it is a big galaxy, so the introduction of a new threat would have to be very unique to be good. I would like to see how things are on Earth...perhaps even shake things up and have it attacked along simliar lines that happened in Macross II. I'm one of "those guys" that enjoyed much of the show. No...I don't want to see another tv reporter But yeah...we can go over these possiblilties until we are blue in the face, we can probably agree that as long as a Basara type character doesn't make a return a future Macross series will be gold.

    I was going through my old comics and found some old RT ones. The series was called Invid War, and it centered around Wolf. I'll scan some and put them up when I return from my business trip...Hate on the comics all you want its more of an effort then HG's animation will probably ever produce. By the way, I realized this weekend that Macross Frontier episode High School Queen is probably the funniest in the series

    Sith was the best of the prequels but not as good as Empire. 1st, it took Anakin about 2 seconds to fall to the Darkside. I don't care how you want to explain it, his turn from whiny brat to Dark Lord of the Sith seemed to take seconds rather then years. Count Dooku went from major character to jobber, why? I know his job was always in jeopardy as Palps wanted to groom Skywalker, but such a lame duel. Palpatine was awesome in about 99% of his scenes and probably saved the movie from complete failure. The 1% he sucked in was his UNLIMITED POWEAAAAAAAAH!!! attack on Mace. Even writing about it makes me cringe. When the Jedi went to arrest Palpatine 4 Masters slain as if they were Padawans. Especially Kit Fisto... Order 66, the culmination of the Clone Wars and fall of the Jedi. Reduced to like 4 minutes screen time with flashes of Jedi and ZERO shown at the Jedi Temple except for the Vader igniting his blade on the Younglings. Padme Amidala's character completely destroyed...she seemed to be the strongest character since Ep 1, fighting against the Trade Federation, in Ep 2 surviving an assassination attempt, Geonosis and the fighting there after, to die because she "lost the will to live". COME ON!!!! Aren't twins reason enough to keep living!?!? Complete shredding of a persona = cheese to me. There are more reasons, but right now I'm trying to get back to work

    Started watching the series again last night, saw first 3 eps...gotta say I loved meeting all the characters again.
