The 1982 figure is the year of the first Macross TV series from which the toy is licensed and this particular toy was manufactured in 2001 or 2002.

That is one cool looking design but it really shouldn't have a lower designation than the SV-51 from Macross Zero. I propose renaming it the SV-86. The one who made that design should contact Mr. Kawamori. Really. And I really like the coloring of the bottom one... it makes me think of pistachio ice cream.

I have added to the discussion that A: it's too pricey and B: the above picture of it doesn't make it look all that good so if you don't like me saying that then too bad. And I think that we are all children at heart here or we wouldn't be collecting plastic toys.

Battroid... I just love robots but battroid + fighter is good too. @ Valkyrie addict: Yeah it's good but could you get the green to show in the valkyries face if possible? Edit: I found some more pictures on my own.
