  7. Looking at Oct 6th or 20th. Waiting for Tony to get back to me
  8. Sorry UN Spacy! yea, Tony (concept Cube) owner had to schedule a trip out of town in the middle of september making our venue unavailable.
  9. Hi Folks, Bad news, but the current site of the con is now unavailable on the weekend of September 8-9th. We either have the option of moving it up a week to September 1-2 (labor day weekend) or pushing it back to early October. Any thoughts before we make a new decision on a date?
  10. We're looking at the weekend of September 9th as the date of the con. Just 1 day for the con this year on Sunday, but might have a set up event the evening before. (maybe annual MW poker tourney on the 8th) I'll confirm the date and then we'll roll with it. Sorry there hasn't been many updates, but this is going to be a much more relaxed con than my previous incarnations.
  11. you could always just purchased regular tix for the show. Show some love!!
  12. Here's a couple of valk girl kit bashes that i made. =] http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=9718&view=findpost&p=862516 YF-19 girl YF-21 girl VF-11 girl Vf-1 Rei
  13. bastid.... always breaking other people's toys
  14. DUDE!!! haha... i was thinking of doing the same thing potentially with my room, but i was debating about the pros and cons of doing a "Library" aisle set up. I kind like having an open floor space to open and "play" with some of my stuff occasionally... haha.... but i guess i could always do that somewhere else. Also, i have carpet in this room, so i couldn't figure a good way to stabilize the display cases just hanging out in the middle of the room. Are the new cases exactly like the ones you currently have against the wall?

    1/100 Toynami Regult

Hahah, couldn't resist buying some for only $6.50 each. Army builiding time!
  16. great detailing on it! can't wait to see it all finished =]
  17. @ultramanzoffy - Very nice display! although i do have to agree about the Regults being a bit out of place in that display. however i really like the how you got the most out of your display space in your detolf with the different poses! When i originally was thinking of how to design my display, i liked the simplicity of having all the valks uniform, but i do miss when i used to pose all my valks in different ways. It just made it look crowded, but i may rethink that and go for something more dynamic. One of the things i really wanted to do was to have multiple displays of just valks in Fighter Mode which i feel i accomplished fairly well. It's always hard to mix fighter valks along with the other modes in a display and make it all work. I'm really impressed with how you have your 1/60 shelf laid out. Now if only the rest of the case were macross stuff too!!!! hahaha j/k
  18. @Ultraman Zoffy - Yay for fellow Detolf customizer!!!! haha... nice display dude. what clear display bases are you using to add the height in your shelf?

    1/100 Toynami Regult

FYI, in case anyone needs a green heavy artillery Regult Battlepod, they are on sale on BBTS for only $6.50!!!! http://www.bigbadtoy...458&mode=retail
  20. just transformed it once from fighter to Battroid to see how the transformation works. It's pretty much like a miniature 1/48 in terms of the swing bar and articulation. The only thing that's pretty bad is that the resin has yellowed quite a bit so it isn't as pure white anymore, but at least it's all even in the coloring. Hopefully it'll stand the test of time and hold up!!

    Thunder Hammer

some of the leg armor pieces on my kit have warped a bit so it's not a super flush fit anymore, but i think the main parts that warp are the arm armor connectors. Those fall off frequently when moving my TH's around as for the shoulder armor, i found a good way to make it fit better without falling off. Add a strip of blue masking tape on along the inside of the shoulder armor to add a little more friction when putting it on the bare 1/48 shoulder. Doing this made the shoulder armors fit snugly and they don't move at all anymore, plus you can't see the tape at all.
  22. I might be able to do that, but i'd have to spend time completing my prototype 1st and making sure it's good quality. I'd also have to create instructions at some point too so it'd definitely take awhile to put it all together. I'll make it a project goal to eventually make the patterns available with instructions.
  23. The original thread is here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=25566&hl=thunderhammer&st=420 Don't think you can get one unless someone is selling theirs. I believe there was only about 30 made or so. Not sure on the exact number. As for Minmei Guard decals, Samuel decals has a set for sale, but doesn't have the honeycomb pattern on their decals for some reason. I actually started a design on a version 2.0 of my plushie design that i posted here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=26922&hl=plushie&fromsearch=1 I was trying to see if i could get enough interest to make at least a few a the same time to save on costs, but nobody really responded. I semi-finished the body for the new prototype, but didn't turn out like i wanted, so i might re-do this again in the future.
  24. I got this from another member on the board who sold it in the "For Sale" section for $650. Personally, I think the engineering and amount of work that went into this custom guy was well worth the cost. Also for the fact there really is only about 12 total of these in existence. (1 blue, 1 yellow test, and 10 white ones) Find more info on Rohby's site about the process it took to make this guy here: http://www.tinyimports.com/ScratchBuilt/JokeMachine/JM.htm
