MacrossWorld Convention 2013 Registration is NOW OPEN! We are excited to open registration to the public over the next 2 months as we prepare for MW Con 2013. Please join us for our 12th annual MW Con by following the simple registration steps below. MW Con 2013 Registration Process Step 1: Complete online registration form at http://www.macrossworld.com/mwcon2013registration/ and submit prior to 9/27/2013 Step 2: Select desired “Registration Level” on the form and follow instructions to submit payment via PayPal prior to con Step 3: Consider making an additional donation to MacrossWorld Convention by clicking the “Donate Now” button via PayPal at the bottom of the registration pageOnsite registration and payment will be accepted, however each registration level will increase by $5 if paid the day of. Does that mean you are willing to donate a few VF-171's to use for the transformation contest? =] That's always been the biggest issue for a transformation contest is the durability of the valk in question, potential for breakage, and would we really want to sit around for 5-10 minutes watching people figure out how to transform a complex VF if they've never done it before? it's not the most exciting thing to watch. 1/55 TF contests have been popular due to the simplicity, timing, and the familiarity of the playing field. However, if we did get a sponsor who donated 2 VF-171's specifically for this purpose, i wouldn't hesitate to add it to the event schedule.

just caught up to reading this thread. I hope you have it finished before MW Con 2013 in October!! i'd love to see it in person and this could definitely be a top contender for our annual Macross Customs Contest where you can win prizes!!! AMAZING WORK!

we've tried doing video game contests in the past with little participation at the actual con. Most players were beginners and didn't even know how to play so watching the versus battles was boring. i don't think we had any of the newer macross games though I even hooked up the old SNES macross side scrolling shooter game to have a "Best Score" contest. hardly any participants either. Keep up the suggestions for activities you'd like to see though! We may include them if it fits into our tight schedule.

I would like to mention that this year's location/venue was really made possible by the generous donations and contributions from MW Con 2012 attendees! We raised enough funds to secure a wonderful location that will hopefully provide everything we've dreamed of for a MacrossWorld Convention. We're still working on registration details to let people know how they can contribute to this year's convention and future ones to come. This is truly a fan convention supported by this community so thank you for your continued support!

I am very excited to announce we will hosting MW Con 2013 at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center - Ken Miller Auditorium in Torrance, CA. Save the date for Saturday, October 5th to come and join us for the biggest MacrossWorld Convention yet! This multi-purpose recreation center is the largest venue we have hosted MW Con and features 3,100 sq. feet of space. We'll have plenty of room for your favorite Macross displays as well as an opportunity for vendors and MW members to sell your extra stuff. The Ken Miller Auditorium also features a full sized stage which we hope to utilize for some soon-to-be-announced special events during the convention.
