i got a copy of Wii Play from Best Buy this morning.... as i got there..... 5 people were already waiting and asking for it.... there was a fresh shipment that just came in from UPS that had the games in it... they popped open the cases in front of us but limited only 1 per customer.... sooo YAY!!! i'm happy i got my last and final Wii-mote... plus i stopped by a local target and they had a fresh supply of Nunchucks so i picked one up to really complete my set of controllers... so now i have 4 wii motes, 4 chucks, and 2 classic controllers... does anyone know of any reason to pick up any more than 2 classic controllers????

Does anyone want to do another MW Con Poker Tourney??? Although i said in my 1st post that we could play Poker at the con.... that would be a side thing during the actual event.... i wouldn't be able to host an actual tournament at the Chapter so i'm saying if you wanted to organize a tourney... it'd have to be somewhere else.... Just to throw that out there.... Here are the dates that i have available to use my workplace... Sunday, June 10 Sunday, July 1 Sunday, July 8 Sunday, July 22 Sunday, July 29 Not many people have really replied or commented about being interested in a Con this year... Are people out there wanting to attend a MW Con in Long Beach, CA????

i want to pick up Wii Play.... but i heard Gamestop sold out of their preorders already.... and the Wii-Mote will only come with the pre-ordered ones.... but i'm not sure if that's true....

wow... this is interesting!! i'll at least pick up 1.... probably Scott's cyclone just to have one..... depending on the QC issues.... i may follow suit... but why only 3 releases??? and Ren never gets any love... poor guy... didn't he originally fly the green alpha a lot in the series??? and he has the yellow cyclone with the hand gun.....

haha.... if you'd want cute asian jailbait High School girlies serving us drinks.... I'd invte some of my youth to come if they're interested in Anime mecha and stuff... I work at the ARC in Long Beach. Our chapter has some conference rooms that i'd be able to reserve for events. I could say it's an event for my youth volunteers, and have some of them attend and it should be fine to use it. I'll check the schedule to see what dates are available around June/Comic Con/AX time.... We could start planning this now.... any suggestions or objections???

you know... since Nick isn't on the west coast to plan everything out.... i'd be interested in taking a shot at organizing the Con.... I'm not sure exactly what people would like to have at MW Con.... but we could plan out some stuff....I'd need some help with this... In terms of Location, i might be able to host it at my workplace if it was on a Sunday.... i have access to a decent sized conference room, kitchen, and a smaller room we could put displays up or watch movies in.... dont' know how comfy it'd be since there's just chairs and tables but we could make it work.... haha... we could play Poker, Bang, Video Games, show off Customs, watch Macross, eat food, play poker.... talk about macross.... have some cosplayers... play some more poker...... eat some more.... anything else???

yay super mario world!!! they need to add more games to that VC... its' kinda lackluster rite now... quick question.... does anyone else leave their WiConnect24 on in Standby mode??? I did this once and came back in the morning and my Wii was super Hot to the touch!!! I do'nt really see any benefit from standby WiConnect besides burning up my Wii Console. can anyone shed some light on this

yea.. the stock batteries that came with the Wiimote didn't last me very long.... dunno why, but my regular Costco Batts have been good for awhile now.. but it's only been less than 3 weeks since i've had one....

Wow!! That thing is a must have!! $30 and it includes the batteries and charge stand?? that's pretty cheap....

haha.. i should shut my mouth until i've tried it huh.... I only get games i'm interested in, so i probably wouldn't be any FPS until the new Metroid comes out... and i know that's going to be Gold.... Maybe i should check out the current FPS's to see how it works...

Are you kidding??? I'm not a hugh FPS Fan but i can't wait for a good FPS game to come out on Wii to play with the Wiimote + Nunchuck. It's almost perfectly suited for shooters since the Nunchuck controls your regular movement like a D-Pad or Keyboard and the Wiimote points like a mouse.... as for 2D shooters.... i not quite sure what would be ruined, but i dont' know that many games like Shikigami you mentioned...

wow!! thanks Alex!!!! i was gonna eventually figure out how to glue the arm back together, but i was hoping you could use the arms to help out the other members here.... I hope someone else steps up who has broken shoulders to donate, although i think people are having problems with both the Elbows and the shoulders... or maybe it was just me.... anyways... thanks again mate!

I think nintendo covered it's bases for the traditional players with the Classic Controller.... I know right now it's only compatible with the VC, or at least i think so, but it's traditional controller design will let Wii players jump straight into more complicated controlled games. Instead of plugging in a Nunchuck, plug in a Classic controller and play Street Fighter II!! (i already downloaded it... haha.. wish it was the turbo edition) Hopefully, they will start incorporating the classic controller into newer games, but i love using the Wiimote and nunchuck. Sometimes the most simple controlled games are the best. In Twilight Princess, Link has a variety of moves using the Wiimote and actually takes a bit of skill to get the hang of and control. It's a whole new generation of play for FPS games on consoles as you can move and point and shoot with the Wiimote. I heard about the demo of the new Metroid game on the Wii and can totally imagine the awesome gameplay features.... I love Nintendo's innovation of new gaming... i loved the DS with its innovative Touch Screen.... The Wii does it for me like no other console i've owned, especially since it's 100% backwards compatible.... I've never been a more satisfied gamer than i am playing Zelda on my Wii..... =]

The Wiimote has endless possibilities and versatile uses for games. I thought handling Zelda would be difficult but it's simpler, easy, and even more relaxing to use the Wiimote and Nunchuck combo than holding regular traditional controller in hand. the Wiimote + Nunchuck is an excellent combo controller for any game that would use a traditional controller. Plus all the cool stuff you can do by moving the Wiimote around makes it more awesometastic... =]

So i've lent my arms and VF-0A to NB4M for the project.... sigh... and i barely even knew her sitting on top of my display shelf.... she never even made it to 1 full transformation without having a limb snap off.... she was a happy bird sitting in Fighter mode and dayam it!! apparently she wanted to stay that way!! maybe i'll just get another one... but hey... how long do these types of projects take Alex???

my left arm broke on my 0A today!!! It was the 1st time i've ever transformed it and i even was careful with it after reading this thread.... I wanted to change it to Battroid so i could access the screws to loosen them a bit as suggested, but as i tried to move the arms out from the fighter mode, the left arm just easily snapped off!!! turns out the ring piece inside the bicep arm broke into 2 pieces. ARGH!!! how fustrating.... The shoulder piece seems to be fine and stress free, but now i have a broken arm like some of you guys too.... Scream Man... who did you get a replacement VF-0A from???? here are the pics of my broken VF-0A close up of clean shoulder... should i just try to fix it myself??? or i read that scream man got a replacement VF-0A..... any suggestions??
