Hi Lance. I got your registration. I haven't sent any email confirmations yet but if you've emailed mwcon09@gmail.com with your info, then i've gotten it. I'll send out more detailed information about the con to registered attendees as the con gets closer. Since the con is FREE this year, i haven't had to deal with paypal and payments so that's why I haven't been sending confirmation emails. I should start doing so though. thanks!

Wow, we have a good amount of people registered for the Con already so hopefully this will be a great event! What do you guys think of a Fan Art Contest? I'm thinking of having 2 categories: 1st is open to all members of MW that can submit entries prior to the con like Best original Macross artwork via online and we'll judge it at the con... 2nd is a live fan art contest where people compete and try to sketch something or a subject at the Con and we judge it as well The 2nd portion is to give members of the UCLA anime club that attend a chance to participate since they aren't part of the boards. Any thoughts or suggestions on rules for the contest? Or suggestions for topics or subjects to draw? This is definitely a first for MW Con so i'm trying to make it as exciting as possible. =]

If you do take orders or make any more for other members, we'd love to have it as a display piece at MW Con in Los Angeles in July... i would almost consider it a possible entry for our annual Customs contest and it could very well win a prize! i also saw your site that you have an order button and price listed... i'm tempted to order it myself... hehe

schedule is in the works rite now, but we have a lot of cool contests and activities planned. the UCLA Anime club is going to be involved too. Macross Karaoke!!!

Of course you can! Was it the same one that i saw at Botcon? it's absolutely the most amazing custom transformer i've ever seen! Maybe we can even add you into the schedule to transform it for everyone... See you at MW Con 09!

haha... that's a very cool custom... this classics Jetfire was probably the best mold of a reincarnated jetfire to do a VF-1 custom paint scheme... every other Jetfire incarnation has been pretty crappy...

From my understanding, it's always been close to the summer con season so that people could attend MW Con and AX or SDCC.... However, since the con has been growing every year, we may be able to sustain a whole weekend event on our own so the date could open for discussion in the future...

Great to hear from you lance! We're working out the details of having the poker tournament this year. We're trying to see if we can have it on campus, otherwise we might need to do it off campus somewhere.

nice review there! Man.... the Michel will be my 1st DX valk so i hope i'm not too dissapointed as you guys sound about the armor.... so can you leave the armor on while you transform it? or does it have to come off first? If any of you have time to take nice pictures of it... please post!!!

i'm probably going to leave this one in Battroid... and have the old 1/60 v.1 in fighter mode....

i really like the proportions of the VT-1 in battroid mode.... and i actually think i prefer the V.1 VT-1 in fighter....

i haven't touched my VF-0A since the arm fell off and i had someone put it back together for me... it sits nicely in fighter mode.... i have no idea if they fixed this issue, but i remember they were selling these at highly discounted prices last year at Anime Expo

man i love the details on this thing..... just went back to see where this has been since i last checked on it maybe a year ago and i'm speechless with all the little engineering you put into this with the opening hatch and moving ramp and working lights.... this has to be one of the greatest customs ever built on MW

i've seen worst cracks on 1/48's from regular usage... those cracks aren't that super bad but it is something that does go unnoticed when looking at valks... i just bought some used valks that had a bunch of cracks on the hips but i bought it used knowing something could be wrong with it.... but i got it at a cheap price... as long as the rest of the valk is in good condition.... it should still fetch a decent price... maybe $200

that band BoobyTrap was pretty decent... although i think the guitar player was a little off.... However... we shall definitely have them back and featured at MW Con this year!

I think the weathering on the Fastpacks looks pretty good! nice subtle job on those.... but i do think the weathering on the valk is a bit much....

hehehe.... .... but what i don't get is all YLM said was "Nice!" There must be a whole lot of history here for you to get so annoyed over 1 word and a bunch of pictures.... I don't know the whole story
