has it been slow recently in the last hour? or is it just me?

Thanks for the comments. I think it's possible to put 3 detolfs together, but i'm not sure how sturdy it will be. If you take out both sides of the middle detolf to open it up, it will only be supported by the thin metal frame and the front door. When you open the front door, it will supported by the frame only. However if you attached all 3 together like i did, it should help support it. I can see forsee the front top board of the middle detolf will sag down due to not having any glass support. Also, be sure to bolt it down to the the wall to for extra support! Good luck putting them together. Post pics if you finish!

I think since so many new people are coming this year, if veteran MW Con attendees want to bring any of their old display items from years ago, (ahem... paper monster!) or anything that is really neat, please feel free to bring and share! Ill try making little display placards that people can write what their items are for our big display area!

I got an email asking if it was okay to Cosplay at MW Con. OF COURSE!!! We highly encourage anyone to come dressed in Macross Cosplay and we'll also have a special prize for the best Macross Cosplayer at MW Con 2009. haha... and you don't have to be ridiculously hot like the in Macross Cosplay thread... although it wouldn't hurt your chances of winning a prize

EXO also mentioned this in the MW Con thread: Since we are going to print it out to display make sure that that it is scanned or executed at at least 300 dpi or 600 dpi for black and white. The usual web resolution of 72 dpi won't do. Thanks!

We have enough for everyone to at least get 1 cool freebie flier or Macross drink coaster. Depending on the number of people that show up. =]

Attention attendees! If anyone would like to bring pieces of their collection to display at MW Con, please feel free to bring your items with on either day. We'll have a special section roped off for people bringing collections to show off. I'll be bringing some items from my collection to create a display. Some things i'm hoping some people can bring are: -Bandai Chogokin DX Valkyries -Macross Frontier figures and statues -Completed Macross model kits -Anything else Macross related that you want to share!

If you come on either day, we'll have some open time to show your video on our main stage. Check out our schedule a few posts above to see when the big events are and we can play your video in between them. If you bring a copy of it that you can leave with me, we can continue to show it a couple of times even when you're not there. Hope to see you there

wow those detolfs are really stuffed! Imagine the extra figures you could stuff if you took out one of the glass sides with your detolfs side by side like that... haha So i've been slowly taking out my collection each night from all boxes i had from moving and man it's a pain in the butt getting everything out after i spent so much time packing them up. Since i have so much space, i wanted to display my collection nicely, but in doing so i found that i ran out of space really fast in my display cases. Le sigh... it's actually been frustrating figuring out how i want to display everything. I'll take a picture of it and show you guys soon.

We'll be having both! On Saturday afternoon, we'll have a Live Art contest where people who enter will have about 20 minutes to draw a Macross drawing on the spot. You can also submit your own artwork to be judged in our Sunday Art contest where anyone on the forums can participate as well. here's the brief rules for the in-person art contest: In-Person Art contest Time limit: 20 Minutes Media: Pencil (Color option) and single 8.5 x 11 paper sheet Theme:Macross Contestants: Up to 15. The number can go up or down, depending on interest level. This contest is looking to be more of a quick thinking, on-the-spot, sketching kinda of thing. Get the contestants creative juices flowing. They will have opportunities to practice their skills throughout the convention prior to the official contest Prizes will be awarded to the top two contenders, based on popular vote/response
