Haven't had time to do an official update, but here it is in a nutshell! We had 15 players in the tournament and gave out prizes for the top 5 players. We had several people come to hang out at the bbq that didn't play too. Thanks to everyone that came! We had a great time. Here were the top 5 players and the prizes they won: 5th place: Kyatsu - Prize: Macross Frontier canned bread donated by Save and Otaku2.com 4th place: Maria - Prize: 2 Flexi-Display stands 3rd place: Dennis - Prize: Yamato 1/48 GBP Armor Set 2nd place: Lance - Prize: Yamato 1/60 SV-51 Cannon Fodder 1st place: Ty - Prize: Bandai DX 1/60 VF-25 Alto With Fastpacks Thanks again for making this event so fun and successful!

So it's official that the MW Con poker Tournament Fiesta will happen on Saturday, August 22nd from 5pm-11pm! Entry fee will be $25 total and will include food and drinks for the night. I'll be bbq'ing so feel free to come and hang out throughout the night. All proceeds from the poker tournament will go towards funding future MacrossWorld Conventions, so come out and support us! Actual poker tournament will start at 7pm sharp!! We need a minimum of at least 12 players to play in order to give out prizes to the top 3 players. If we get more players, I'll add 4th and 5th place prizes as well. Here is the official prize list! Seriously, i haven't seen any new pics of the Phalanx and it'd be a shame not to complete the 1/60 trio of destroids... haha... (don't really care about the spartan)

i've bought loose ones that still had the doors for about $10-$12 or so from Frank and Sons

I suppose your right about displaying less to make it look like more... but I kind of want to have everything displayed so i don't have to keep rotating stuff every week or month or so. It took me so long to take everything out of the boxes and stuff, i wouldn't want to take the time to rearrange stuff all the time. haha.... call me lazy, but i guess i'll try to figure something out... or man, maybe even have to buy more display cases. I haven't even began to organize the glass shelves that i stuffed with all my transformers and other collectibles.. yikes!

So i finally finished putting up EVERY Macross toy i own plus a few more in my display cases. here's a sneak peak at my display cases for now before i tweak things and rearrange them the way i want it... I'm kind of torn because i want to space everything out so i have a nice display, but then i run out of room really fast. But now i feel like everything is starting to look cluttered and that's not how i wanted to display my stuff. I need to get more acrylic bases to add height for the figures on top of the detolfs, but do you guys have any other suggestions for making my display look cleaner?

Time is still TBD, but if i make it a whole party/bbq thing, then it'll probably start in the afternoon. If we just do poker, then maybe it'll be in the evening. Is there any interest for people to hang out for a party/bbq before hand?

Hahaha!!!! i re-watched all the transformation contest videos, man i was a hard ass!!! fun times.... i realized i missed a couple of errors on some of the arms that werent' straight in the 1st round. We should probably have 2 judges to help confer if we do this again next year. And maybe the exact same 1/55 model in the same condition. I think the VF-1A hikkie was a bit older than the newer CF. haha.... maybe we can get Bandai will sponsor this event next year!
