  1. Just awesome! I've gone through the tutorial like 10 times. Can't wait to see more.
  2. I think it is pretty good. Like most people here, I usually watch anime in Japanese with English subtitles. But I'll watch this in English too. As an interesting sidenote, the actor who plays Isamu is the dad from Malcolm in the Middle. You would think he'd be terrible, but he does a very good job.
  3. Now that would be awesome. I'd buy that in a second!
  4. Congradulations! Very cute.
  5. I hate that Burbank Fry's too. My wife always makes fun of me because every time I leave that store I say I'm never going back.
  6. Sounds good, can't wait to see the pics.
  7. I watched the movie first and thought it was great. A few years later I got the OVAs on DVD and really enjoyed the extra footage. So I have to agree with everyone in saying they're both great and there is no "winner"
  8. I don't have the book, but I read about it here on MacrossWorld. But there is a sticker in the DYRL Preview Book Maybe you can find the book or someone who owns it.
  9. Wow, I'd love to get my hands on that DVD. That show sounds so cool. Another show that I'd really like to see is Macross: One Night Stand. It was a 15th aniversery concert special with Fukuyama Yoshiki (MACROSS 7's Nekki Basara of Fire Bomber), Kasahara Hiroko (MACROSS II's Ishtar), Arai Akino (MACROSS PLUS's Sharon/Myung), Kanno Youko (MACROSS PLUS composer and musician) and special guest Iijima Mari (Minmay) I read about it on EX. The article is here
  10. Thanks for the pictures. Do you have any more closeups of Xstoys Collection Display?
  11. Wow, I really like the Submarine 707 autograph board. I wish I got that one. The Geneon booth was really great with all the signings from their guests. I got an extra ROD signed by the director, char designer, creater, and animation producer. If anyone got an extra Submarine 707 and wants to trade it for the ROD TV, let me know.
  12. I was at the Noburo Ishiguro panel at Anime Expo on Friday. It seems like they've been working on Titania for the past year and got nowhere due to it be different and risky. But he hoped to have more to present at next years Anime Expo. Also, I could be wrong, but I don't think Kawamori is working on this project. They showed some Mikimoto illustrations that would appear on the covers of the novels which will be rereleased to possibly generate interest in the upcoming series. Anyways, it looks great and I'm looking forward to it.
  13. As far as the chest touching the ground, I looked very closely and it looks like it clears the ground by about a half millimeter. There was a sprue that wasn't trimmed that touched the ground, but that could easily be fixed. They said at the Robotech panel they had a model you could hold, but I didn't get a chance.
  14. Well I saw the production model today at Anime Expo. I think it looks very good, but the thing that really stands out is its SO small. Its probably a tiny bit smaller than a superposable. I think it looks great (especially in fighter mode) but after seeing it in person, its really hard to justify $80 for it.
  15. Yeah, I went to the L.A. SciFi Con where most of the cast was there. It was really cool. I bought the DVD set there and loved the series. I can't believe it got cancelled.
  16. Wow...the faces are really off. Especially Faye. Her forehead is way to big. Her hair is too long, and the face is too fat and round. Looks really bad.
  17. Thanks for the link. Very cool stuff.
  18. Well, I recently got a gakken and I just don't like it. Its too big and chunky. I'll probably sell it and buy a MPC. I think 1/48 would be a better scale but I don't want to beat a dead horse.
  19. You can get all 9 discs at deepdiscountdvd.com for 13.49 a piece. With the 20% off coupon this week, you can get the whole series for under $100. I would jump on this if I didn't have the box set already. Do it, you won't regret it.
  20. Well, I've seen the prototype at San Diego Comic-con and I thought it was a little bigger than the super-posables. So I guess it will be around 7 inches tall. While I would prefer a little bigger, I can live with 7 inches. But if its any smaller than the super-posable, I'll just pass on it.

    Got My YF-21!

I also really love my YF-21. My experience was like yours. I wasn't expecting much, but I had no problems standing it in gerwalk or battroid mode. Now only if I could get a YF-19 to fight with.....
  22. Thanks Ali, I'll see if I can't find the shop.
  23. Which shop in China Town? I was looking at the Kenshin too and would like to get one.
  24. First timer here. I'm really looking forward to it.
  25. I took a look at it and I see what you are talking about. It does kind of look like Roy's VF-1S. Its just small and not detailed. I'm not sure. Sorry, I can't take any screen caps.
