  1. I'm glad they are actually showing Andromeda as a deadly weapon too. Not just a big show piece that doesn't do anything but look cool and then Die. As horrific as it's power is demonstrated as, it still showed it is a force to be reckoned with all by itself. Chris
  2. Yup, Cosmo DNA has a translated interview that describes the older ships now having Wave Motion engines and enhanced Shock Cannons and upgraded Torpedo's. Kind of cool seeing the old Kongo Class kicking a little butt. Chris
  3. OMG! That brought a tear to my eye and gave me chills at the end! PLEASE have English subs, please. Also loved seeing the upgraded Kongo class kicking ass!
  4. No kidding. The latest report is also up on CosmoDNA and they reference the 1/1000 Andromeda kit as the "Movie effect" version. I wonder if there will be a cheaper non electronic version later? Maybe to cover the sister ships and variants. Chris
  5. I agree, I like the Borodino Class Battlecruiser designation better too. It does seem to fit better.
  6. YES!! Love it, love it, LOVE IT! Does it look to anyone else that the Dreadnaut hull is the starting point for the Andromeda class? I never noticed that before. Chris
  7. This was posted by member Yorkie over at SSM: Makoto Kobayashi's twitter again- At least 5 Andromeda class ships: AAA-01 Andromeda AAA-02 Aldebaran AAA-03 Apolonome (Apollo ?) AAA-04 Achilles AAA-05 Antares (carrier type) so maybe we will get repop's of the Andromeda kit without electronics and hopefully new parts for the Carrier types. and even possibly bigger news....we may be getting a Main Battleship type model! Look to the left in this picture.
  8. I love that it looks like Mickey Mouse is imatating Voltron in this picture! Great pictures and poses, wish I could afford one. Chris
  9. Welcome to the Club! Sad that there is still no news if 2202 will have English subs like 2199 did. Chris
  10. If the stated size of 444m is correct, and the scale really is 1/1000 then it should be. Makes me understand the price a bit more when you add the electronics in too. Chris
  11. Cool thread and great models guys! Here is my big 1/500 2199 Yamato. Some of you may remember when I was posting the progress on it a few years ago. I got a little burnt out but have recently started work on her again. Here are some pics of her. Since these pictures were taken, I have more or less finished Yamato herself and started working on the Airwing.
  12. So that would make a 1/1000 Andromeda 17.48 inches long. That's a big Mama! I don't think we'll see a big 1/500 kit to go with Yamato, that would be 34.96 inches long! Chris
  13. Oh yeah, forgot about that. Oops Chris
  14. I was watching wondering what you were talking about and then.....the end shot. Yeah pretty blatant. Chris
  15. This^^ I find that T2 hasn't aged well with me either. I loved how the original is more a sci-if/horror than any of the others too. Chris
  16. Or it is just describing what Luke is at he moment....the last of the Jedi. As they stated in TFA he is the Last. Doesn't mean more can't rise. I like the Title quite a bit Chris
  17. Yup, noticed that too very weird. I wonder if the blue one will be Blue Noah?
  18. Whoa! That looks so awesome! You guys see the multiple Andromeda class ships being constructed too. As Westfall pointed out the fighter is the Cosmo Tiger I. From the latest CosmoDNA update
  19. Taghobby confirms march releases, 12000yen for the Andromeda. http://www.taghobby.com/?p=134753 UN fleet set http://www.taghobby.com/?p=160738
  20. While I like how it looks....it is very un-imperial. Chris
  21. Man the Phantom II's looks are timeless. Thanks for sharing Chris
  22. Regarding the Andromeda model, a member over at SSM posted this: "okay take this with a grain of salt but I came across this; Star Blazers - 1/1000 Andromeda Movie Effect Version SKU#0214500 I part time at a local anime store (shameless plug www.neotokyo.ca) and we stock bandai gundam kits, manga, anime etc. Anyways I was digging around on a suppliers site(no, I won't be telling you who it is) and found a preorder for that. It says march. Now, we know the Andromeda is going to be much bigger than the Yamato. But I'm starting to wonder about how much bigger because the cost at my supplier for this new Andromeda is the exact same as the 1/1000 Domelaze III kit! And you know how big the box for that monster was. Also found Star Blazers - 1/1000 Yunagi Combined Cosmo Fleet SKU#0215636, also listed for March. Don’t know anything about this but I'm suspecting it's a re-pop of 1/1000 UNCN Combined Space Fleet Set 1 with different markings because it has the same cost as 1/1000 UNCN Combined Space Fleet Set 1. But I'm only guessing here."
