I liked the first episode, but unfortunately won't be seeing the rest of the series....at least until it either it becomes available on another service that is commonly used or will just buy the season once it is finished (assuming it will be for sale) I refuse to reward CBS for fleecing the American fan base by putting the show behind ANOTHER pay wall....that 1) the show was already paid for by Netflix, 2) All Access has ad revenue by still including commercials...which you can pay even more money to them to remove 3) already pay for CBS by paying for satellite or cable. People keep complaining about corporate greed and the high price of things but then keep buying. Nothing will change if we give them what they want. If you want to pay for it, obviously that's your prerogative, I just can't do it. I worry it'll set a bad precedent and other networks will follow suit. Chris

Solo: A Star Wars Story, in theaters May 25, 2018
Dobber replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Just realized....with Ron Howard now directing Han Solo, if not for his untimely death, we might have actually had a Star Wars film scored by James Horner. Man that would've been a dream come true for me. Chris -
Thanks

So are they just using the same pictures for both standard and PF versions? Both descriptions say they come with stickers too. Chris

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in theaters Dec. 16, 2016

Very cool. I agree with the fan editor and not the author of the article. I hated Giacchino's score and I also noticed different sound effects for established weapons and tech and it really did bug me. This guy fixed all that. Good job! Chris -
As someone who really doesn't like the way the F-35 looks....particularly the B model......I'll say that is a very flattering angle and a pretty cool pic. Chris

Not nuts to me at all. I prefer Cool-cold weather over summer heat all the time. Always easier to fix being cold than it is to fix being hot. Chris

Ep. 9 pushed back to Dec 2019. http://collider.com/star-wars-9-release-date-jj-abrams/ I'm really happy about that as I hated the move to May and much prefer SW at Christmas time. Just made the Holiday's all the more special for me. Chris

New theme can be heard here. Gotta say it's not so bad. I think it blends old with new pretty well. Chris

Wow! Really nice build, great work! Just a tipfor posing, though, the AT-AT's legs aren't supposed to bend backwards. Chris

I have the standard sdf-1 on preorder, but I may have to cancel it...it's just sooo expensive. We are just ensuring these things never become more affordable by buying at these prices. Like the article pointed out many of these things are already created molds but the prices are still astronomical like they are trying to make the money back on the molds. Just sucks for me is all. Well.....there are really now 3 different A-wing types: 1) The Rebels A-wing which has some of the shape elements of the McQuarrie design (straight line from the front of the nose with a flare out by the weapons pods, extra cockpit windows, some sort of vent scoop behind the cockpit, concept type weapon pods, and a straight up McQuarie paint job) but it also has the beefiness of the Jedi A-wing, and lacks some of the concept A's details like those long bumps on either side of the canopy. 2) Return of the Jedi A-Wing. This has the different shape with the "flare" at the front of the fuselage and then straight lines back to the weapons pods. Different weapon pods, the split front edge of the fuselage, and no extra windows. And is a thick little monster. 3) The Last Jedi A-wing, which has details of both versions above plus more of McQuarries original details and is far more slender. here's all 3 from similar angles Rebels RotJ TLJ Chris

I actually like the "update" not because of the Mcquarrie design, but I like that it is more streamlined in profile. The OT A-wings are deceptively thick when viewed from the side. It was always my least favorite of the big 4 Alliance fighters. Hopefully Bandai will get around to making these and the long wanted B-wing. Chris

Azrael beat me to it, that the new A-wing is essentially McQuarrie's original concept design, even more so than the T-70 x-wing which only has a passion resemblance (the split intakes) to his original concept design. Chris

I pointed this out on a couple of other forums about the A-Wing box art, but most think it is just packaging art that has nothing to do with the movie... notice the B-Wings in the background. I really hope they do make an appearance in the movie, but like I said most just think they are place holders by Revell's art department. Maybe they saw a TIE with bent wings and though "Darth Vader" and put the Death Star behind it. Chris

I never saw a single figure from the wave that had the snow troopers. I had to buy a snowie off of Amazon. I don't think my area ever got anything from that wave. All we've had here where countless Sgt. Jyn Ersos and Cassian Andors with a few TFA rereleases like Rey, Finn, Kylo, and the ever available Constible Zuko. I hate how Hasboro plays the release numbers game that just benefits scalpers and just makes it harder for fans to get the figures they really want. They flood the market with the other figures and then stores don't order more because they sit on the shelves. Chris

Yeah, I'm not thinking he will or would betray her more just concerned for the future of his family. We have seen, and he even said as much, that he has been doing what he can to protect his family even as he aids in fighting them....Danny has noticed this too, though. One thing I don't get about a lot of reviewers/theories is when they say Tyrion may be jealous of Jon because she takes Jon's advice over his.....but Jon agree's with Tyrion. She wants to do something...let's say rash Tyrion advises her not to and she asks Jon for his opinion, like a tie breaker so to speak....Tyrion advised against burning down the Red Keep and Jon agreed. Tyrion said they want to break the wheel and be a different kind of ruler and Jon agreed....so did I miss something or do reviewers have their heads up their asses as usual? Chris- 316 replies

Just a thought I just had....maybe he had the forlorn look because it is solidifying Jon and Dany's Alliance.....possibly leading to a union. Not saying he minds that, per say, just that Maybe he is frightful for what it means for his family. I believe he was sincere with Cercie when he said he didn't want to bring the end to his family...including her, as terrible as she is. Like she said, what happens to the Lannisters AFTER the Great War if the Alliance wins? He probably didn't completely think about that and is now realizing it? Just a thought...though once Jamie shows up it might make things easier for him. Chris- 316 replies
