Eaglemoss Star Trek Starship, BSG & other starships Collection
Dobber replied to Sandman's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I love the Discovery Enterprise too. While I think the Eaglemoss model is beautiful with nicely done paneling I do agree that maybe a more metallic paint would have been better. Maybe what the used for their Kobayashi Maru. David, since you asked about Reliant: Oh, and Reliants name IS there, it’s just hard to see in the pictures for some reason.- 924 replies

IMO, the best stuff Eaglemoss makes. The Vipers are pretty much in scale with the Moebius 1/32 scale kits. Galactica herself is gorgeous. The TOS Baseship is nicely detailed without large sidewalks of the old Minigram kit....but IMO too weathered. The Baseship was always a nice light gray with minimal weathering. While it looks “Cool” I do think they shouldn’t have weathered it. So far it is the only line I own all of the models to. Chris- 924 replies

Yes I have the XL Reliant. It is GORGEOUS! it’s just a tiny bit smaller than 1/1000. It’s everything the XL Refit SHOULD have been. Such a shame Eaglemoss screwed up the Refit but the Reliant is damn near perfect. As was mentioned already, the Boneventure is from the Calamder a few years ago and became a fan fav. I quite like it. I ordered it...I usually don’t get the standard line and just get the specials, XL, Discovery, and Galactica lines but I made an exception for this one. Chris- 924 replies

STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2

Plus, I really like the T-85 X-Wing. Chris -
That might be another good after market part...fixed place fins. I keep bumping the darn things everytime I handle the toy. Chris

STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2

Another problem is the figure distributions. The stock pile cases with higher numbers of less desirable figures like Rose ect. Making more desireable figures like Troopers, Darth Revan, OT characters ect in limited quantities. Chris -

Yeah, The Man in the High Castle takes place in an alternate reality late 1950’s where the Axis powers won WWII and have occupied America. Japan has west of the Rockies and Germany East. It’s VERY depressing, good but depressing. I haven’t watched beyond season 1. Don’t know if I’m up to it. Chris

Looks great! Loved the last one. on a side note.....this is why I didn’t get the public’s Shock at how infinity war ended. Like duh, they are not killing off Spider-Man or most of the people that disappeared. Most of the Avengers movies are so overrated IMO. I’ve enjoyed the “standalone” movies more. At least some of them anyway. Chris

I’ve been working on this Beast...it’s Mega Bloks, I know, but dang is it awesome! It’s 1/350 scale and the Bussard collectors light up. I got it for $79.99 on Amazon! Chris

I can think of several times when backgrounds looked about that bad. Miles in the squad car, Peter and Miles in the diner, Miles in the graveyard, random shots of the city when a spider person is swinging around. The “stop motion” style they decided to use, while I don’t care for it, I can adjust to. That 3D blur or whatever it is is just a terrible idea. The one big “blotch” on an otherwise amazing movie. YMMV. Chris

Cool, thanks for the info. Now hopefully they’ll loose that horrible 3D “comic color misprint” look they used for the background some of the time I’ll be stoked. for the life of me I can’t understand why anyone thinks that looks good. Chris

Never knew about the OS MP seekers. I just got the Green one from Show-Z for $66 shipped! Love the size and the improvements they made to the mold. I bought the Yes model, most thought it is the best of the KO’s) KO standard size MP Starscream a few months ago as I wanted an updated MP-11 mold and it doesn’t stay together very well. But this Oversized version looks AWESOME! Just saw that TF-direct has weapon upgrade sets to for these OS seekers to give them a more F-15-esq look. sorry for the OT post. Chris

Despite, what my tracking says my DX showed up today! What a beauty! Though my only gripe is the folding ventral fins. When handling the toy I keep knocking them and causing them to fold or get out of place. Chris

The Unlicensed Third Party Transformers Thread

Thanks guys, they both have their strengths and weaknesses...something I like in both. TF-Direct has them, I think, in stock. But now is not a great time for me to buy, I’m a government worker and Furloughed. plus if TE is rereleasing with some extra parts, it may be better to wait. Chris- 9146 replies

The Unlicensed Third Party Transformers Thread
Dobber replied to slaginpit's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Will MS or TE be making more of their Primes? I’m getting really tempted by them and am not sure which one I would like. I’m now leaning towards TE. They both seem to be selling out though. Ben’s review of the TE makes me want it now and he mentioned a rerelease with possible optional parts? I’m new to the third party game so I don’t know how production runs are done. Thanks for any help. Chris- 9146 replies
