    Yeah I guess that’s true. The more I look at it, yeah, the threads are more mega threads for particular lines. A mod should be able to easily change this thread title though. Chris

    Ha, you think this is bad? Don’t bother going to the Star Trek Discovery thread where nearly every post is a long diatribe on how horrible the show is, yet strangely they keep watching. Personally I really like the show but won’t bother even try to say anything good in that thread as it’s a lost cause there. Here at least TLJ deserves it! Lol. I kid, I kid........well sort of. Chris

    I agree with both of you. CGI is absolutely impressive and far more seamless in its integration in a scene....particularly in a sci-fi space setting, but there is just something about a well done model that gives something more depth and convey’s size so much more than the best cgi ship/station model. At least IMO. Here’s a couple of shots of the massive 30ft interior model, so awesome Also here is a interesting concept of how the Galaxy class and assumebly other larger vessels could dock with the Spacedock instead of the up scaling that was used for the Next Gen. personally, while I do like that there is enough internal space for the Galaxy class, just larger doors need to be installed.     Wholeheartedly agree. In the Trek universe, the Space dock is so large that it can be seen from the Earths surface with the naked eye. The model was impressively large too, particularly the interior model. Also it seems to come from the mushroom space ship era...Cacoon and E.T. Also used Mushroom like space ships. As a kid I use to confuse them all.. lol. I love these 2 pictures just shows the size of the structure. The first is the filming model (lighting run) which I think looks like what it would look like on the night side orbit The other is just awesome Fan work.

    Thanks! Yeah, I really love the SpaceDock too. It is an iconic design that still holds up after all these years. There is just something about that massive structure that ain’t love so much. Chris

    I considered it, I have exchanged several items in the past but I’m just going to repaint this one myself. I will have another one coming when my subscription model ships next month. This one was just a straight up purchase from their store. Chris

    I got my first real turd in the Galactica collection the other day and unfortunately it is the TOS Galactica herself. Mine has an extremely heavy handed black wash on it that was not completely removed. Some spots look like too much base paint was applied giving it that thick/soft detail look. Where these things may just be my unlucky draw of a model, the mold also has the “Gator Head” bow section angled upwards so it looks like it is looking up! So disappointed, the old girl deserves better. Chris

    I asked Calibre in that post about the possibility of making non canon paint schemes that look more real world military....similar to what they are doing with their Tomcat “Dream-Cats” Line. They liked the comment so maybe we’ll see some non standard color schemes down the line. Chris

    For that size and price...AND considering the detail they can put on smaller models that looks terrible. It doesn’t even have the saucer rim windows ala Ten Forward ect! Chris
