Fair enough. Though with all the VF-1’s out there. It would be a nice way to differentiate a product from others. Instead of making a hybrid. Make one or the other. Make it accurate for a tv Valk instead of having some DYRL features or visa versa. I for one would love an accurate DYRL style canopy. Something about that tiny detail I just really love. Heck, we didn’t get accurate exhaust “cans” on a VF-1 until the Yamato 1/60 v.2. When Me and a few others pointed out to Graham that the cookie cutter circular exhaust detail was wrong and that the VF-1 has those rectangular “paddles” that splay out when the foot opens. A small detail that is hard to see but a nice touch that is now on most VF-1 replicas. Chris

What no toy company has gotten right is the different canopies between the TV and DYRL, The Hasegawa 1/48 came close but still didn’t get it completely right. The DYRL block Valk canopies have a ressessed “lip” at the front. They don’t blend with the nose leaving a recess that has vents, possibly bleed air vents? The forward frame is also different and the overall canopy shape, when viewed head on, is a more bubble shape (meaning the widest part of the canopy is actually not at the lower frame but higher up...around the pilots head level. The TV style canopy blends smoothly with the nose and when viewed head on has a more arched shape where the widest part is the bottom. DYRL canopies. Note the forward lip with vent detail and the “pinched” bubble frame TV style smoothly blended and no “pinch” in the frame Profile compairison withe the further different Macross the First style. One could almost consider the slight differences in the Toys as different production blocks of the VF-1. We know the VF-1’s depicted in DYRL are in universe later Block VF-1’s. Though, no toy has completely got that right yet. In fact I think most of the toys, regardless of paint scheme, are more or less hybrids between TV and DYRL style Valks. Only the 1/48 Hasegawa kit comes close to actually differentiating between the two styles, beyond the paint scheme that is. Chris

I wonder if they are still planning on releasing TV super parts. Don’t want to buy multiple Strike/Super parts as they are the DYRL style, and the first 2 releases are TV style Valks. Though, I know the 1J and 1A Max were never seen with Super Parts...but still. I’m also assuming they will release Super parts each time a DYRL Valk is released? Kind of stupid not to. Would Bandai really expect people to PRE-preorder ALL the Strike/Super Parts they MAY need without knowing what Valks and when Bandai will be making. Chris

Cool thanks, I really like that coloring. Too bad it’ll probably be really hard/expensive to get. Chris

The White display that the figure is partly obscuring?

Behind the figure, what version is that being advertised? Is it another exclusive? Chris

Bandai can deliver?? Preorder madness says otherwise. Bandai doesn’t seem interested in meeting product demand for many of their lines. They rarely seem to release second runs either...at least for Macross stuff. Chris

Dang I like that. Where are they available at? Chris

Holy Crap! Are TV Storm Attacker kits hard to find now, and the ones that are available are ridiculously expensive. Especially, if you want to just use it for just a few parts. I’m guessing, despite someone saying they would make or recast the new parts, it was never done? Chris

Now THIS is how preorders should be. Woke up and see that the Packs went on sale a day early. Casually go to NY and order a set. Done. Why can’t the damn Valks be like this!? $116 shipped with EMS from Nippon Yasan . Make sure you use Yen instead of dollars, it’ll save you a few bucks. Chris

This is the most amazing piece of craftsmanship I have ever seen. Bravo, sir. Please keep the updates coming. I really hope an accurate TV SDF-1 will be made someday. Obviously not to the level of detail you have done....I’m just disappointed that Hasegawa really dropped the ball on their kit. I only recently became a fan of the ship...both versions....and want an accurate TV version to go with the readily available accurate DYRL Refit version. Thanks for all your hard work on this project. It’s a joy to watch and I’m in awe of your skill. Chris

Sorry if this is an old question that was answered long ago, but has anyone used the TV SDF-1 Storm Attacker parts to build a more accurate TV Cruiser mode? Are aftermarket parts available? Chris

Man would I love a rerelease of the Frontier VF-25 series. Love them so much. Sold them all years ago and now I want them back!! Chris

Respectfully disagree. I’m not a Godzilla or Kaijū fan and loved this movie. I also HATE the Transformers movies. Sorry you didn’t like the movie though. Chris

June 7 for the fast packs right? Just the normal web exclusive type thing so we can casually order from NY ect like with the missile set? Chris

Glad I got one one at AmiAmi...I THINK the trick was.....IF you were there right when it opened, was to not refresh when the loading screen was there and just let it work. As bad as this PO madness was, it still doesn’t hold a candle to the Max 1A PO. That one will go down in the history books. Chris

Just shows why that site and critics in general are worthless. The AUDIENCE score is 86% vs the 38% critic score. Critics can really ruin a movie or give a boost to a piece of crap....like TLJ. Far too much credence is given to them or sites like RT that compiles their opinions. Chris

Still showing available at Ami and CdJ guys go! Chris

Got one at AmiAmi! Bugging out! Chris

That’s awesome! I really loved this movie. I hope the monster verse continues.....the Kong vs. Godzilla is coming next year I believe. Hope it is as good. Now my big question is will they do Mechagodzilla? Chris

When the Osprey’s launched and their wings rotated whilst falling, I said to my friend “must be nice to like in a world where you can be utterly certain your tech is going to work!” In the real world 2 out of the 3 would’ve just dropped! Lol! Chris

I have to agree. I find myself thinking about this movie ALOT more than I ever did with Endgame or any Marvel movie for that matter. Not saying GKotM is thought provoking or anything....I just REALLY enjoyed it. FOR ME....the Marvel movies are alot of hype...enjoyable....but ultimately 1 and done for viewing and never any desire for repeat viewings. Chris

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie! I want to see it again.
