  1. A few weeks ago I went back to rewatch the movie....which I also didn’t hate hen I first saw it.....and I liked it a lot more now. Seeing Ahsoka so young was jarring too. We watched her grow up. Chris
  2. I agree with both of you. When I saw AotC in IMAX they needed to edit the movie and cut several scenes so that it would fit in the IMAX projectors memory. They basically cut all the cringe “romance” and Anakins tantrum at the begining and I gotta say....The movie was SO much better. When Padmé confessed her love for Anakin at the end it actually worked better because the little we did see was decently done and then our natural imaginations filled in the blanks. I often wish I could see that cut again. Chris
  3. Her’s one of mine. I built a second one and painted it up as a USAF fighter, but for the life of me I can’t find pictures of it and the model itself is boxed up in my basement.
  4. Very nice! The hasegawa pilot definitely makes things look much better! Chris
  5. Just watched the 2 available episodes. It is really good. I really liked that all the directors actually work together and are around on set even when it wasn’t their episode to confer with one another and as Taika said make sure he/ they don’t go too off course. Something sorely missing in the sequels. Dave’s speech at the end of the second episode is really great. I think he really speaks what’s in the soul of many if not most Star Wars fans. He’s genuine and heart felt. Chris
  6. That was really good. The poor Clones.....used, exploited, then forgotten. Chris
  7. If you ever do make one let me know! The Sylphid is one of my all time favorite sci-fi designs. Chris
  8. Yeah, I have 2 of the Platz 1/72 kits of the the Sylphid. I posted pics here a while back of both of them. Even with those beauties, I’d still love a hyper detailed 1/100 with all the accessories. Chris
  9. I’d love the Sylphid. That is such a sexy design. I’m glad at least a resin kit was made of it but to have a highly detailed display model with all the options that Alter did for the Supersylph and Mave would be a dream come true for me.
  10. The first release of the snow trooper a few years ago was EXTREMELY hard to find around here. Chris
  11. Went back through the thread a b little and WOW you guys do some amazing guys work! William, as always your skills are top notch. NZEOD, your diorama looks great and that fire/explosion effect is AMAZING! Derex, can’t wait to see your Enterprises! Chris
  12. For fans of mocumentary style shows like “the Office” I’d recommend “What We Do in the Shadows” all episodes are available on Hulu. The show is freaking hilarious. Chris
  13. Well said. Also, I understood what kanedas bike meant too, not ships that fit figures but just nice smaller representations of cool fighters and stuff. Chris
  14. I’m with you. Most of the ships are sadly overlooked. Even in model form. With all the talk of expanding the fan base, good or bad, spaceships are predominately a male interest. Character figures have a more broad appeal (male/female) so are seen as more marketable. I’m not saying this as if it’s an attack on guys (if anyone reads it that way) just an objective and theoretical look at why this may be. We do see that kind of marketing in other franchises, but those franchises also seem to be more.....secure....in accepting what they are. Meaning that take the stance “we are what we are and if you like it too then great join in” but they aren’t chasing after you to bring you to them. So they make products that will appeal to what is likely a mostly male fan base. Star Wars on the other hand seems to be taking the opposite approach by trying to make itself something for everyone. So the liscenced products have to appeal to more then just boys and men. Just my opinion. Chris
  15. Leaving all other issues aside, I HATED Russian Dolls, which for most is the big selling point. I couldn’t stand any of the characters, especially the main one. Headland said she writes characters like that on purpose because she is tired of the “perfect” trope. I can respect that stance but I still don’t want to watch a show about despicable people either. I know it puts me in the minority....again....but based solely on her work I am not overwhellemed with joy. Chris
  16. Yes, I referring to the vertical lip on the bottom of the canopy. It’s unfortunate LEGO couldn’t either find a better solution or just make a custom part. Let’s face it canopies are always the difficult/weak part for LEGO aircraft and spacecraft. It looks like even when the canopy is closed the front is still off of the fuselage as the latter starts to slope down while the canopy remains horizontal. Chris
  17. Thanks guys, @derex3592, the Yamato herself is done, but I still need to build the Airwing to display with her. Procrastination is still an issue here. Lol Chris
  18. I stepped away from building for a while....some personal issues in my life and lost interest in it....but I’ve started up again. In honor of May the 4th here are my 2 Bandai B-Wings I’ve been working on. Still need to finish the cockpits, pilots, and then decal. 1 custom and 1 will be the battle of Endor Meatball marked one. Chris
  19. I’m tempted to buy the new A-Wing but that canopy join/lip is just HORRIBLE. It completely ruins an otherwise decent model IMO. Any of you LEGO experts see a fix for that? Chris
  20. Agreed, I’m also surprised Sideshow/Hot Toys hasn’t made any Clone Wars figures and that they are rereleasing Cody bit haven’t made Rex?? Chris
  21. Oh yeah, I envy those that will get to watch the Clone Wars for the first time that also HAVEN’T seen Rebels. That will make the suspense that much more high In the finale and make watching Rebels all the more powerful. Chris
