What I don't get is why it took o long for the movie to be released. It's been shown several times since the begining of the summer right? Was that not a finished copy? If not, what was missing? Chris

The one thing that hasn't been brought up by anyone yet is that while most...in show and fan base.....is outraged by what happened (near Rape) that they seem to forget that the cylons are using humans for medical experiments, they are Raping women back on the colonies for use in baby farms, now this doesn't justify what the Peg crew did, I find it interesting that people forget or overlook that. Either they think that the Cylons are the bad guys and that it is expected or that they are less than human so it's expected. I personally believe that it's because we are more interested in our own actions and that we want to be better than our enemy, real world example,... the reaction to Abu Garib as opposed to what happened to Nick Berg (he was the first one to have his head cut off on camera). We want to be better than our enemy, but i find it interesting that they Cylons, while trying to be more human but yet thinking they are better than us, get outraged when something terrible is done to one of thier kind but ignore what THEY do to humans or thier enemy. Very human I think and very much a reflection on the current state of the real world. Adama was right in the Mini series when he asked if we as a species are worth saving. That's what I love about this show, it really makes you think,and think that Adama and most of the RTF have shown that they are. Chris

I gotta disagree with that guy at sci-fi and others that think the colonials are evil or would have done the same as the Cylons had. The mini stated that an armistus (spelling) was reached and the "colonials" built the station where Humans and Cylons could "meet" to discuss thier issues ala Babylon 5. The Cylons went off on thier own and the colonials didn't hear from them in 40 years until "SUPRISE!!!!" I don't believe that the Colonials where actively "hunting" the Cylons. Why build a station to talk to an enemy that you where actively attacking. They were building up a military but hey they had 12 planets to protect, from either the cylon return, or who knows what else was possibly out there. Chris

While some are critisizing(spelling) Adama for his lack of rigidness and say Cain is correct and more by the book. You gota remember that Galactica is in a completely unique situation with the remander of the Human race with her. Adama even said it early in season one when Roslyn wanted Adama to use his troops as a Police force. Adama said something like the police are there to protect the people while the military is there to fight the enemy, and that the problem with the military becoming the police is that the peolpe become the enemy. He had to find a new way of doing things. Plus like he said to the reporter when she questioned him about letting Tigh keep his job. They have no one else to replace peolple if the screw up, and can't just arbitralily(spelling) dismiss people. Who they have is all they got, and some slack has got to be given. Cain was also in a unique situation where she thought they were the only survivors of humanity....just that one ship and no one else. RDM said in the Podcast that the Pegasus went through alot of hardships just as the Galactica did and that it moulded them as a result of those unique and terrible experiences just as Galactica did. So if Adama and the RTF can make poor decisions why couldn't Cain? When the Pegasus met the Fleet....it was the Pegasus that should have learned how the rest of Humanity is functioning,and found a way to fit into it.....not the remander of Humanity finding a way to fit in with the Pegasus. All that Being said I think that the Pirate ship analogy is pretty acurate. Pegasus and Cain had to report to no one, and had to look out for no one else but themselves, and it shows. Of course the new CAG is going to be a prick, thats his job. Its easier to be a prick then ease it back later, but its impossible to start off soft and try to enforce more rigid discipline down the road. Apollo and Starbuck might be the hotshots on Galactica, but that means jackshit to the pilots on Pegasus and rightly so. But how is this different from any form of socialized hazing? Frats, pro sports teams, first day at a new job, even religion has a form of it. True enough, but the same would apply to the crew/pilots of the Pegasus. If what the Galactica and her pilots accomplished count for Jack, why should the Peg's accomplishments count to The G. After all, like I said above, the Peg is rejoining whats left of the colonies, not the other way around. Chris

The new generation Valks or the Mac 0 valks are very easy to build gear up. The vf-1's are a bit of a hassel though. The rear Doors that have the red and blue lights are a big pain in the a*s!!! Chris

As for how to run the Fleet....well...I kinda of agree with both sides. Realistically Martial Law would probably be need for a time. But we have to remember that this is a totally unique scenareo....the Military and the entire civilian population are forced to coexist. BOTH sides need to realise this and make consetions. Chris

Holy Farking Shnit!!!! What a great episode!!!!!!!!!! I also think that not all of Cains crew can be as "Fanatical" as Cain, the CAG, and Thorne are, they are just the main ones that were shown. I found it ironic that Cain would point out all the negative things that have hapenned to Adama and the RTF, but is totally oblivious to the hanous acts that she and some members of her own crew have perpatrated. If the Pres. and or some other ships of the fleet try and stop the Peg. from openng fire on the Galactica, and Cain blows them off, that may be the straw that breaks the camels back and her crew finally says we've had enough. If she's quoting colonial law....the way Lee did in Bastille Day.....to justifiy her actions, then if she ignores an order from the pres. she looses all credability to justify her actions. The Pegasus semed like a Gang and Cain was their leader...kind of like that movie with Ray Liota when he went to that island prison, can't remember the name of it. Gotta say that I really like the design of the Pegasus now. Another thing. To me nothing justifies Rape and torture...however Six still demonstrates that the Cylons are so hypocrytical and blind to the fact that they are the same as we are in those NEGATIVE aspects. I mean, her race has nearly erradicated the Human Race and is currently "Raping" human beings and running medical experiments on them as well. It just kind of irked me is all, same with Boomer earlier this season, they are always so quik to point out how bad we are but have the blinders on to their own actions. The picture of the Pegasus looked strange....like they really didn't want to give you a good look at her...sort of grainy. Not just in that screen cap but in the episode itself. That being said, what I did see I didn't like. She looks funky, doesn't look streemlined, but kinda short and fat. LOVED this past episode though. "Kill the bastards!" Loved it PAYBACK BABY!!! Chris

That's cool never noticed that either. The mask thing could be an illusion but it really looks solid. If it isn't I guess it could be cloth but just perfectly smooth. Either way, I've never seen anyone replicate it before. Snowtroopers ROCK! Chris

Thanks Warmaker, I posted the same questions in a few other forums and that seems to be the concensus, that the Sandies seem to have HORRIBLE weathering and that removale of or painting over the weathering is the way to go. Totally Agree about the Snowtrooper. I've always loved them the most out of all the Stormies. Did you ever notice the Snowtrooper commander (the one that Gen. Veers tells "to prepare to debark" his troops) seems to have a solid face mask instead of the cloth one that the others have. Can't wait for the SNOWTROOPER!!! Chris

Hi all, on another forum I visit, someone got a Sandtroper "Corporal" and the paint job is HORRIBLE!!! Does anyone else have this kit or at least the standard "Officer" version of the Sandtrooper. I was curious if he just got a bad paint job or if the weathering on the Sandtroopers is just not that good. What I don't get is this, since the water is so poluted with sewage Human remains, gas and other contanimates, should they be pumping that water into the lake or anywhere else for that matter. Mind you I don't have another solution though. Chris

Cool!! Now if Yellow Submarine or someone would just release a model of the FFR-31 Sylphid. Has it shown up in any other episode besides episode 1? It's gotta be my favorite aircraft design of all time! Yellow Submarine has postponed it for almost 2 years now. . I guess that's a sign that it won't be comming out. . Yeah, the booklet doesn't even tell you how to delete a song off of the iPod or how to not have ALL songs in your library be loaded on the iPod...even when you don't have them checked! All the manual says is review the users guide on the iTunes CD. . I eventually found out how but you figure they could of at least published that bit of info!! Chris
