Wayyyy....baccckkk when I was stilll in HS...this is like 5-6 years now, 357839 Chris

Yup, it's called German Grey. I agree it's the darkest Grey out there while still being grey. Chris
-
I wouldn't recommend the NATO black, it has a kind of greenish tint to it. Tamiya German Grey is PERFECT IMO. Just be sure to use the bottle version and not the spray can version. For some reason the spray can comes out way lighter, but if you spray on the bottle version it looks just right....about a shade or 2 darker then Euro Grey, but still noticably lighter than black. OOOOhhh! I like!!! makes want yet another SV-51!!! Chris

Disregard I understand now. Chris

Nevermind, I re-read you posts and you did say "anything"! For anyone else though these descriptions are essentially spoiler free. Chris

Here is an example of how they described the previously seen episodes 8-10 8. "Final Cut" D'anna Biers (Lucy Lawless), an investigative journalist, is brought to Galactica to document the military life during wartime after criticism of the military reaches a fever pitch. Air Date: September 9th 2005 9. "Flight of the Phoenix" The Galactica is struck with a Cylon computer virus, while Helo faces disdain from his shipmates because of his relationship with a Cylon. Chief Tyrol throws himself into the impossible task of building a Viper from scratch. Air Date: September 16th 2005 10. "Pegasus" The crew is stunned to learn that the Battlestar Pegasus also survived the attack on the Colonies, but tensions run high when the Pegasus's Admiral Cain assumes command of the fleet. Air Date: September 23rd 2005 I think it's safe, unless you don't even want to know what the episode is about. Chris

Actually, the link that Azrael posted didn't seem spoilerish to me. Basically just the brief descriptions like what you would see on you TV guide. Just a brief description on what the episode is about, no specifics. Now, the link that Death Hammer posted in the previous page DEFINATELY was spoilerish! I'm not sure what Duke was refering to about episode 17, The description was pretty vague. Chris

Wow! Fantastic collection! Keep up the good work! Chris

Here are a few shots of my Tomcat. It's night time so the pictures are so so. still need to finish a few things on her too. Here is a taste anyway. Since this is a CAG bird she's really subtly (spelling) weathered, If you look hard enough you can see! Chris

Actually, I don't think it supposed to be removable....I just liked how the 0 was looking that I didn't want to hide her under the ghost perminantly! What it does is it has slots between the engine and the wings and they slideinto the vertical stabs and then it just rests on top of the 0. The thing is, is that this requires different vertical stabs that are actually canted out further than normal....which I think looks better..... than normal....but when the ghost isn't on my kit is "Technially" inaccurate because the vertical stabs are still canted out farther. Like I said, personally I think it looks better though, since the VF dosn't have horizontal stabs. What I did with the upper missile pods was to just drill out little holes that the pegs fit into and the pods just fit in well enough with out glueing! My Tomcat is just about done, just need to do the lights and a few other things, but she is essentially done! I'll post pictures later tonight. Chris

That's correct. On this model I used one of the testors Aerosol cans that comes with a removable cap that you can attach Modelmaster bottles to so you can spray directly out of the paint bottle instead of useing Spray paint cans. Just takes some thinning. It also comes with an empty clear jar so you can use any other paint...like Tamiya. I guess it's the same principle as an airbrush but with less control. My main problem with airbrushes is figuring out the air/paint ratios, where these "cans" that I use just spays it on. Now my SV-51 was completely brush painted. On the VF-0S with Booster,I weathered it using a Dark Grey pastel chalk wash, then bry brushed on more pastel chalk along most of the panel lines, and then I used pastels and pencils to do various streeking and such.

I asked the same thing, no one had an answer, just guesses. 351446 Actually I DID answer it. Nobody knows yet. It has never been stated. Chris

So far they haven't mentioned who wrote the note. Most people think it was Baltar but you never know. I also think that there are differnet factions in with the Cylons. Some seem to just want to wipe out humanity, some want to use people as breeding stock and/or follow "Gods" plan... and create the own Masia(spelling).....(Boomers child), and finally there may actually be a small faction that may want help the Humans....like possibly leaving that note. Or it could just be the flesh -bots doing their own thing and the Machanicles doing another. Chris

I actually don't use an airbrush. I use to brush paint only( If you all remember my SV-51 with the splinter camo, she was completely brush painted!) but now I use those Testors spray cans that you can attach paint bottles to for the majority of the painting Slowly making my way up to airbrushes Chris

Wow, thanks David. Currently I'm working on Hasegawa's 1/72 F-14A "Atlantic Fleet Squadrons". Applying the Decals at this time, went with the 1988 VF-84 CAG aircraft, it really is a unique Jolly Roger livery (Light grey overall, with High vis stripes, but the Stabs are still light Grey with Black Skulls on it. Um... I don't watch BSG. I watched some episodes of it. Even before BSG started, I heard some things about ron moore's 'glorious reimagined series' that made me dissapointed to be a BSG fan. To have Moore's travesty become first place over Richard Hatch's efforts is, in my opinion? Insulting. Rather than modernize the series for a better audience while remaining true to the mythology and moralistic values, Moore walks all over the franchise's name with the muddy boots of moral indecency and disrespect. I mean, even some of the quotes used in Hatch's first episode on the new BSG seem to ridicule the former Apollo's attempts at reviving Galactica- calling him a 'washout' and a 'has been.' who has 'dissapeared and been forgotten.' The Pegasas is just an excuse to cover for the concept artists' tragic blindness at making the 'Galactica' look like an incomplete warship. As for the PEgasas crew themselves, I'm only thankful that I didn't witness what is said in these reviews... though I probably would have just changed the channel anyway in disghust. Oh, and we might as well safely assume that everybody's a cylon. From Adama to Baltar, Everyone's a Cylon. I mean, how can we tell otherwise? BSG is a conspiracy story now, in addition to some sci-fi space opera (Don't deny it moore, even if you claimed to break this trend). Maybe it's like the matrix, and the cylons in the new BSG are trying to wake everyone else up by killing them and freeing them from their pathetic cybernetic existances. ...wait, you beleived me? LOL! ...This isn't Galactica. 351180 Watch your old DVD's and get over it. 351188 Well put.

Lets see, the bottle says 4765 Light Gray ModelMaster Acryl and 4233 #5 Standard Navy Grey 1/2 ModelMaster Acryl. This color I just found about a year ago and I absolutely LOVE IT!!!! It really is the perfect US Navy blue grey. And yes the bottles actually have the different spellings of Grey/Gray on them! . Graham, I also prefer and build my models with gear up whenever possible. That's one problem with Hasegawa Tomcats.....pilots won't fit in them! Chris

About 2 weeks. Chris

It's got Arnold, but does this DVD set have enough Southern Cross? 350765 The producers told me that would be included in the Special Edition, as well as comments by Lucas. 350767 I'm bot gonna buy that one though, 'cuz the doorknob shot first. 350784 But will Agent One be recast with someone with small hands. Chris

Here Here! Well said. Chris

Thanks for the compliments. I used Testors Modelmaster Acrylic "Standard US Navy Grey" for the upper surfaces, and Testors Modelmaster Acrylic "Light Grey" for the lower surfaces, both straight from the bottle. Now I'm working on a hasegawa F-14A . She's almost finished too. Chris
