I do have win XP, and it still asking me with what program I want to open the file with. It's not an old computer either, I got it last April....a sony viao. Chris
-
OK I'm not computer literate at all, I saved the file on my C:\ drive but when I try to open it, my computer wants to know with what program? Chris
-
the DVD decrypter isn't available anymore, at least through that link, what should I use? Chris

Duke, do you remember anything that they thought of as a mistake....besides the Gina housing thing in the past epsiode? Chris

RDM's newest blog entry http://blog.scifi.com/battlestar/ states that the centurions are not sentient. I was suprised! The Cylons used to be all mechanical and then supposedly gained sentience and rebelled right? Well wouldn't the original centurions also have gained sentience? If not, I wonder why. Also, the Cylons would then be just as guilty as they claim the colonials were/are of using them as slaves, since the centurions are then just tools or cannon fodder......"Sentient Robots make other Robots to use as tools to do their bidding, in protest over being used as tools themselves!!" I hope this will be brought up in the show, cause I find it very interesting!! What do you all think? Chris

From what I have heard it does, next week is Lee's episode. Chris

The Protester wanted to know why the military doesn't try to talk.......Roslyn should have pointed out We SURRENDERED the day of the attack and the Cylons didn't care. I guess the general public doesn't know this fact, or at least doesn't care. Chris

One thing I thought about is that Baltar "said" that he could only tell the human cylon was synthetic after he cremated parts of the remains.....but he already knew about the human form cylons because of six...and he was looking for a scape goat at the time.....so maybe he was just making it up and they are actually easier to identify. He's already demonstrated that he isn't really interested in identifying cylons. Chris

I did too, I was expecting the Agent that he sent them with was going to be the "hostage" guy they were looking for. Thankfully, they didn't do that! Chris

Regarding the Raiders, in pt. 1 the plan was to lure away the raiders with some of the civi's. Once the Raiders were far enough away the battlestars jump in and attack the Baseships. So having few raiders left with the fleet is reasonable. I believe the Cylons could fall for it considering the actual attack on the Tylium refinery DID come from the "decoy" civi's last time. Unfortunately, I don't think we will ever get a really good frag-fest in this show, Moore has said countless times that that is not what this show is about, and that it is about the characters. In his podcast for this episode he said something like... we don't need to see the battle because we know it's happening, and that what is more interesting and what we want to see, is the charaters and their reactions and interactions....or some BS like that! I'd personally like to see both Chris

Completely agree! Even a simple little shot like starbuck seeing all the vipers dogfighting was really cool. I have a neat idea for a CGI shot for a viper launch sequence. Maybe a down the nose shot,or a little higher off the nose looking back at the cockpit, that way you see the blast wall disappear behind the viper as it rockets down the tube and then the outer hull moving away behind the now space born viper. I think it would really give you a feeling of scale too. Chris

Welcome aboard!!! It's a wild ride! Chris

Anyone know what Apollo ran into with the Blackbird? I couldn't tell it moved too fast for me to see. 360458[/snapback] It was a damaged Raptor. It's hard to see but it's there, plus Ron Moore says so in the podcast. Chris

If you listen to his pod casts, you can DEFINATELY tell where he stands politically. That may have something to do with it. I Do agree with you MJ, on how they portray the Military. I LOVE this show, but it doesn't mean there aren't things that do rub me wrong, and that is one of them. At least Adama DID recognize that Cain was correct about him being too lax. Chris

The Rank structure for Fleet personel seem to go like this: O-1 Lt. Junior Grade (Boomer) O-2 Lt. (Starbuck) O-3 Cpt. (Apollo) O-4 Major (Adama was this rank in one of the flashbacks) O-5 Col. (Tigh) O-6 Cmdr. (Adama) O-7-? Admirals The Colonial Marines may have a Rank structure like we have in the US. Chris
-
Have you watched the deleted scenes for season 2 yet? Scattered and Valley of Darkness have more of the flashbacks including a chilling retellying from Tigh about his first encounter with the Cylons. Really cool stuff, I also would like to see/hear more. Chris

Oh, MJ, small hands is refering to people bitching about Hayden Christianson (spelling) in the Vader outfit. People were bitching about Vaders hands looking too small. Chris

All this talk about running or fighting made me think of something.... The Cylons "SEEM" to know everything, because of thier religion right. Well, remember at the end of the Mini, when the cylons boarded Ragnar, one of them says something like "we have to find them." "you know they'll come back." I wonder if that'll play out. Chris

I agree, I guess I'm more in the minority about OVERLY GLAMMED or "SEXIFIED" women. I think they look better when they are done more sublte. IMO Six never looked better then when she was wearing the sweats when she was talking to Baltar about what she really is. Chris
