Graham has posted some more pics in the other thread and it unfortunately looks like the gunpod almost touches the ground like the 1/48th did. The problem looks like the landing gear is too short. Chris

I got my Dropship yesterday!!!! I LOVE this thing!!!!!! Truely a thing of beauty!!!! I have an APC on order now as well, but I gotta say the APC must be pretty damn small....and for $30 too kind of a rip-off, but the Dropship is well worth the money!!!! Chris

Yup, last night just reinforced my dislike of Kat. My wife was even like "why is she SO annoying!" It did give...some....insite into her and why she is a complete *$&@, but I don't know why they are out starbucking starbuck? That's the point of the character, I thought, to be the hot as poo, rebel type, pilot. Now, the took that away. Loved how the MK VII was front in center in this episode, agree with you MYK that it's about time. I do wonder if the MK II's are slowly being phased out by attrition and MK VII's are the ones that are being produced. spoiler about last nights episode: KAT doesn't deserve that cup, Starbuck gave it to her. Oh, and the music at the end when they are looking out at earth, thinking about the stupidity of war.... man it still gives me goosebumps, it really holds up to current movie score music and is so beautiful. Chris

Series 2 was the best IMO.......how it ended was...was...shocking/incredable. Some of the animation and character designs are a little dated though, but definately a CLASSIC!!! Chris

I don't get why Kat is going to be the next/new hotshot pilot....didn't she just learn to fly a viper like a few months earlier in their timeline? I got now problem with her becoming a great pilot, but wouldn't one of the legacy pilots that the Galactica still has or one of the Pegasus pilots be challenging her for "top stick" position not some newbie? I for one am really glad they are making a MK VII since there are currently NO kits or anything of it.....there is a 1/24 model on the way but god only knows how long it will take to be ready!......and there are at last count 4 Mk II kits available in various scales! That being said I Would like a MK II also with the MK VII not instead of. Maybe the scout ship is refering to the blackbird. Graham, how can they make a toy line with out the title vessel...the GALACTICA! Personally I could do without Colonial 1. Chris

Armament is listed as: - Dual Thraxon MEC-A6 30mm Mass Accelerator Cannons (MECs) capable of firing 20 rounds per second. 800 round ammunition magazine per gun 8 x HD-70 Lightning Javelin Missiles capable of carrying conventional or up to 50 megatons of nuclear warhead. I'm guessing that Galactica doesn't have a large stock of missiles, which is why the are used infrequently. I would imagine that it's much easier for the fleet to manufacture new cannon rounds than it is to make new missiles, especially the nukes. In "Hand of God" you can actually see the missiles under the vipers wings. They are really hard to spot but another forum I visit had a big discussion over this with screen caps and everything. The missiles looked like cropped Aim-9's. Chris

Thanks Knight, I've tried to post a screen cap I have but it's high res and my stupid dial up can't get it to attach, but if you watch the episodes Pegasus or Resurection ship pt1, when the vipers are launching, you can see the alternating tubes on one level....which then leads to the problem of how that is actually done because they are all on the same deck but one is "right-side up" and then the next one is "up-side down". I agree with you, in resurection ship pt2 podcast he said it, it's just after the last podcast and how the episode ended is why I get that feeling. I hope I'm wrong though.

It's because of the last Podcast that makes me think the Peg might not make it to next season. That was not a spoiler for anyone who hasn't heard the podcast, it's just a feeling. I really hope she is around for a while though, because I reall like the design. I finally have the 01 Dropship on the way from HLJ. Can those of you that have had thier Dropships for a while now tell me if the side "wings" (the smaller ones) have they started to droop? It looks like it just moves on a single rod. How tight is it? Chris

It was hinted at only, next week is all about him though. Also he is the CAG again, and starbuck is back on Galactica. So I guess Pegasus has a different CAG again as well. Maybe the original one Chris
