Yeah, he did a wonderful job on his 0A. I really like the Dark grey tail fins. I'm considering doing that on mine too. I just got the VF-1AJS/0S sticker sheet too for my 0s and I asked Taka if he would be doing a 0A sheet. He said he was but I haven't seen anything yet. I'd really like to do a Bunny scheme but I may do what Ghostryder did and just use my left over 0S stickers instead. Yamato stickers are just too thick and shiney Chris

Thank you Graham!!!!!!!! I've always said that about the SHE VF-11. You where the only person that ever seemed to agree with me. It's too much like a "duck bill" when it should be more angular like a birds "beek." That was one area that I thought the Yamato 11 really did well. Chris

Cool! Now hopefully I can finally get a FFR-31 Sylphid!!! I've been wanting one of those since I first saw it! Chris

I know what you mean. However, I thought Craig did a fine job of that too. Particularly at the scene near the end when the baddie is firing on him with a machine gun and he's just standing there behind a piller not giving a poo! I remember specifically thinking what a bad-ass, it dosen't even faze him. Chris

OK, I understand the differences between the CF and the Shin 0A in the Anime. CF is greyish brown and Shin's was A light blue/grey and light grey with white stripes. I also understand the the HFH said the the Yamato 0A is the "real" color. What I don't get is everyone seeming to say that this , Shin 0A, is a different color than the original 0A release. It looks the same to me except for the white stripes and pilot. Am I missing something? The 0A's release colors where much more subdoed than they originally looked and it looks fantastic. Now IF this Shin 0A has the more lightblue/grey and light grey look that it had in the anime then I'd be tempted to buy. Graham can you elaborate or clarify what the plan is? Coloring I mean. Chris Chris

The coloring of the Shin 0A is the same as the already Released CF right? Just different colored stripes is the difference...and the different pilot, right? I JUST got the VF-0A, I mean JUST got it. If those are the only differences I guess I can live with that, but this really does kind of suck. Chris

Yeah I liked the First season alot and I think most of the second season...can't recall how far into it though. A real pitty, the show had so much promise. The first big disappoint I had with the show was when they changed the theme music for season 2. The first seasons theme was awesome! Chris

Yup, I live in WV and there are a ton of them at my local Walmart. I passed on it though....wasn't too crazy about the design. I'll wait and see what others think before I deside. Chris -
I've been temted to get a reissue Roy or Hikaru 1/48 VF-1S. What reissue is the best to get? I see that Neova's store has several different reissues and I thought I remembered people saying certain reissues are better than others. Any help would be appreciated. Chris

Luke, WOW! that is very impressive! The Airframe looks dead-on. Watching the SV-51 actually fly brought a tear to my eye....it's my favorite Macross aircraft. Thank you for doing this and sharing! Keep up the good work! Chris

Here you go. It is a former F-14 squadron...the first actually VF-1 http://www.topedge.com/alley/squadron/pac/vf1hist.htm just scroll down to the second image to see what Tomcat originally looked like with the High vis markings. Not sure why they used the Ferris markings that VF-1 used briefly as the first image. Just do google search on VF-1 Wolfpack. lots of images, it's always been my favorite squadron. Most people here seem to like the Jolly Rodgers, for obvious reasons though. Chris

Those are alternate squdron insignias. It's was actually the first F-14 squadron VF-1 Wolfpack. As for the stickers, they just go in place of the skull markings......can't remember if it comes with the full stripping for the nose though. The F-14 squadron has a long stripe that goes down the length of the nose. I replied in your other thread too: here you go http://www.topedge.com/alley/squadron/pac/vf1hist.htm Try a google search for VF-1 Wolfpack, it's always been my favorite Tomcat squadron. Lots of cool images of the prettiest Tomcat colors ever! Chris

Hikuro, freaking awesome!!!!!! I'm sorry I haven't seen this before, I usually don't come down to these threads! OUTSTANDING!! So, did you only do the first episode of Zero? Chris
-
I'd like to know this too. I sent him an E-mail and a PM about a week ago and haven't heard from him. I'd like to get his VF-0 sheet. Chris
-
Yeah, I really hope they make the 11 too. Chris

WHAAAAT? Chris -
Ghostryder, What stickers/decals did you use for your 0A? She is beautiful!!! I've been trying to resist getting this edition but after seeing your pics I can't hold off. Hopfully they will still be around at christmas time when I have more money. Also, what color grey did you use for the Horizontal Stabs? It looks perfect. Chris
-
Hot DAMN! She looks sexy!!! I so can't wait for this baby!!! I too would like to know if the uped the Tampo on this sucker and also hope for better QC this time around. Chris

No doubt, I agree that it was dirt. Just a thought, it is TV and sometimes they will just do something because they think it'll look cool, like they are trying to be realistic but then just make it even more unrealistic. Chris
-
Didn't Nathan's face have some sort of scoring on it after he landed or was that just supposed to be dirt? I kind of took it, that it was a result of the friction from his high speeds. Chris
-
Ditto, it seems most people seem to associate him with sylar, but we haven't confirmed who Sylar is yet. Plus, there isn't any proof that Claires Dad or his assoviate have hurt anyone yet, accept the quarter back and even then not really....considering. Since he is associated with that strange symbol, and future Hiro hand it on his sword handle, maybe he really is a good guy, and we were just being misdirected into believing he was bad. Chris

Transformer Starscream Masterpiece has arrived!
Dobber replied to kentgh's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I thought of that too, but the nose cone doesn't appear to be easily removable. I don't see any way to get the "pin", that it uses as a hinge, out. Chris -

Transformer Starscream Masterpiece has arrived!
Dobber replied to kentgh's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It's actually a "ding" in the plastic, with scuffing all around it. Sorta like what an injector pin site that wasn't removed correctly would look like on a plastic kit only larger! Tam's a stand up guy and said he'd have no problem replacing my starscream, it'll just be a while, and then I have to worry about if the new one will have the other common problems. . I'm really not sure what to do. Like I said, I'm confident I can fix the gouge, but not sure about matching the color or if it'll just get damaged again during transformation. What do you all think? I got mine from Tam as well. I haven't had any wing issues thankfully BUT mine did have a rather large dent/whole in the side of the nose cone!!!! Tam won't get another shippment in till Nov. to replace the toy. I'm not sure if I should though.....I mean I hate this mark on it because it's really obvious but I affraid if I replace this with another one then I jest have the "other" issues. I could probably putty up the whole and sand it down but then I'd have to try to match the paint which I don't think I can do. . Here is a pic. Chris
