I agree with Egimon, particularly in regards to the VF-OA thing. In addition to what he and others already stated, what REALLY P's me off is that they don't seem to be releasing the ghost booster with the weapons pods alone, for those of us that have the 0A and or OS. You have to buy the Shin VF-O to get the Ghost and weapons that we Really want! The stand alone ghost is just the Drone. That Fraking sucks. Or am I missing something?! Graham, do you know if Yamato has plans to release the Ghost pack alone? Chris

I 100% agree with you here. Fantastic 4 did that to me as well. For F4, it wasn't JUST the constant trailers on TV and in the theaters but then it was all the marketing for Burger King, and then a cruise line too I believe!!! I couldn't stand that stupid "Flame On!" line!!! Have not, and don't intend on ever seeing that movie. Eragon isn't quite there yet, but I'd agree that when a movie gets over exposed like this, it's usually because it sucks and the studio is trying hard to get it's money back in the first few weeks before word spreads about their turd! I also agree that there is something "odd" about the Dragon that I also don't like. It's head lmost looks cat like or something. Not what I would like a Dragon to look like, but that's just me. I'll probably just catch this on DVD unless I finally get fed up with the previews. Chris

The reason the nose cone needs to push up into the gear bay is so that the swing "plate" for the legs can be correctly positioned. The SV-51's legs are "swung" into position by the panel located in between the intakes. It's the portion that inclueds the exhaust plates for the 51's VTOL engines. If the nosecone didn't compress the legs wouldn't beable to move into position. Possible solution would be to have the nose cone leave a space between the fuselage and it....essentially, instead of going into the gear bay like David showed,let the Leg plate sit flush against the nose gear doors and then have the nose cone fold over top of the leg plate. It's not perfect, but it seems like it would work......if you could follow what I was describing! Chris

From what I can tell, just about everything is "Possible" in the SV-51 transformation . The Nose Cone, however, folds into the nose gear bay. This wouldn't be possible, unless the nose gear moving into the cockpit. That's the main problem I see for a yamato SV-51. Well, that and some thin attachment points at different areas around the plane. It will be interesting to see what yamato will come up with, if they do actually make one. Chris

Grahams sig now says "Flap Flap Flap." The SV-51 flaps it's wings in the anime. We can only hope it means it's comming!!! This and the VF-11 are all I really want!!!! Chris

I am an Air Traffic Controller, while it may be possible, it would be highly unlikely. We would notice the dual primary targets. Now, we may think it would just be a ghost or echo of the main primary target that is using its transponder, but after a certain period of time and it didn't go away, it would certainly raise alarms to us....particularly to controllers who are particularly use to having a problem with drug runs in their area, but hey it's just a movie and a fun one at that, and like I said...it is possible.....just VERY unlikely. I really hope Yamato makes a VF-11, and if they do it's done before the YF-21. I just really like the design. Chris

I have yet to find Grimlock!!! That's the one I want. I've found all the others...even Mirage, but no Grimlock. Is he a Voyager class or Delux class? Chris

I'm hoping that just means his Restock of the 19. I too preordered with Tam for the first batch. eugimon, let me kno what Tam says. This is my only gripe with Twin Moons. I really like Tam, he has good prices and the best customer service, thats why I give him my business. But, Twin Moons does seem to be the last to get stuff. I really hope it won't take THAT long though!!! Chris

Yup. I may have gotten a bad peice BUT I had to wait about 5-6 months to get it because MiM said they where getting new casts from a new master and that there would be anymore till then....so it shouldn't have been so bad. From what I've heard from several people around the web is that what I got from them "seems" to be par for the course from MiM anymore. As for the kit being accurate....it's pretty close. After all the material I gathered from the web and screen grabs I've watched the main areas that are off are the pylons for the engines are completely wrong the canopy is too bulbous, and the chin turret is too large. I can post some pictures off my in progress model if anyone is interested ( I use dial-up so it takes some time for me to upload pics..that's why I haven't done it yet! but I don't mind doing it if anyone wants to see.) Again, I know I'm comming off as trashing this model, I guess for the price I paid I expected better, BUT with alot of work you can make a pretty nice model. I just would definately not recommend this kit to a beginer. Chris

I have the MiM Gunstar kit. Cobywan is correct, NO death Blossom panels, and by kit was a terribale mess ie, HORRIBLE fit, BAD seems and such, no pilots or decals. Probably the worst reasin model I ever bought. Now, after saying that, with a lot of work you can make a pretty nice looking model. I'm about 85% done mine, but it's taken so much work to get it to it's current state that I'm just alittle tired of it and it's shelved for the time being. Hopefully I'll get back at it soon. It won't require any more structural work just alot of detailing and painting still. I had a review of my kit with pictures up at the RPF, but the site seems to be down. Chris

I'll try to take some tomorrow Actually My grey looks alot like yours, I used Tamiya German Grey which is pretty much the darkest grey I've seen staright out of a bottle without being black....it's perfect for DD's SV-51 BTW. I liked the look because it kinda gives the 0A a Black and White photo kinda look compaired to the full color 0S, Dark Grey tail with a lighter grey tail top...as opposed to the Black tail with a yellow top....if that makes any sense! Ghostryder, I hope you don't mind I ended up painting my stabs as you did....Dark Grey. I'll post pictures as soon as I finish putting the stickers on, I already got her all weathered up. This was the first time I ever actually painted and clear coated a Yamoto valk! I think she's looking really good IMHO! Chris

Graham, If Yamato can indlued an extra set of canards with the 19, why couldn't they just Tampo print the Skulls on the Stabs of the VF-0a and inclued an extra set with the Bunny printed on it. The stabs conme out easy enough. The one thing they Yamato hasn't seemed to figured out yet is that their stickers SUCK!!! Chris

What I really wish Yamato would have done is just Tampo print skulls on the Vertical Stabs, and then included an extra set of Stabs with the Bunny on it, after all they are including an extra set of canards with the YF-19. This would have been simple enough. On another note, Taka may be waiting till the YF-19 comes out so he can make a combined Yf-19/VF-0A sticker sheet. I don't know, just speculating. Chris
