  1. How can you tell which release it is before buying? I'd like to get either a Roy or Hikaru 1S as well. Any suggestions for as good store that would sell them at a good price? Chris
  2. Order placed for the YF-19 Stickers! I love what you did with the Bunny markings for the VF-0A! I'll definately get them too!! Chris
  3. Going back to look at to177's modified version of Yamato's SV-51 I find that I really like what he did, longer nose and smaller stabs really make a difference for the better IMHO. It just looks more balanced, as it is right now it just looks too back heavy like the old 1/72 yf-19. Chris
  4. I liked the modified version that to177 posted. Particularly with the smaller stabs that's my main problem with the Yamato. Otherwise its not bad at all. Also, maybe the bottoms of the legs MAY be a bit too big like "Bell Bottoms" giving it the back heavy look that the Yamato has. As for the color I used Tamiya German Grey.....it's the darkest grey I've seen out there. The slightly lighter panels are MM Euro Grey. The only black on my model are the "shins" of the legs, which are the tops of the engines, and the engine fan cover, that's it. Chris
  5. No No No, Kawamori-san will tell us that the SV-51 was supposed to look like that and the animators got it wrong! Chris P.S. I too prefer the long nosed (cannon) version, but if you like the short nosed mod. then go for it. It's just not for me either.
  6. Hikaru, where should we go for the bit torrent site. Will you post a link when this and Macross Zero pt. 1 are finished and/or available? Can't wait to have these!!! I would also be willing to give this a try if you need any more voices. Chris
  7. Here is a compairison phot I made of the Yamato prototype and my Hasegawa SV-51. I tried to match the angels the best I could. I know that the Hasegawa models always have better fighter modes because it's a model, I just wanted to show a good compairison of the 2 is all. Chris
  8. Agreed, especially because all of the included weapons are located past that point on the outboard portion of the wing. Chris
  9. I agree that the "Broken Back" thing may be just an illusion, but I also think that the intakes and the tail Stabs are too big....particularly the Tail Stabs they just look WAY TOO BIG. I hope they are scaled down, but they probably won't be. Graham will you be given an opportunity to critique this thing and voice our concerns/observations like you did with the YF-19? Chris
  10. Thanks for the pictures!!!! Not too bad, the V stabs look a little large though IMO. Why is it we have an inside person, Graham, and yet we get our first looks elsewhere 98% of the time?! Chris Edit: they appear to be much farther along than I thought they'd be!!
  11. 2 part epoxy should be fine also right? Also, should I remove the grey peice or just put the epoxy right on top of the peice. I know that by doing it that way the peice won't beable to be removed would that matter? Chris
  12. Thankfully my YF-19 is in pretty good shape! Not counting the gunpod issue. I did have a real hard time moving the nose part that slides back though. After a few transformations and reading this thread I decided to take a good look at those infamous tabs. Mine aren't too long but I trimmed them down a bit anyway.....BUT....the grey peice that they plug into...the part with the screw in it.....both of them have stress marks and one is cracked from the screw all the way to the bottom!!!!Just like Wicked Aces Will this effect the toy in any way? Any fix suggestions? Wicked Ace, what area of the hinge peice did you sand down? Chris
  13. Graham, I know you can't show us anything IF you do have something, but if you have seen something like CAD drawings how does it look...IYO? I agreed with your opinions regarding the YF-19 and the VF-0 so I'm interested in hearing your take on it. Chris
  14. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing an updated VF-1 in 1/60. But, I think I'm in the minority. Chris
  15. I agree that something does look "off" but hopefully thats just because that was an early version of the kit. Either way, I'll pass on this one, never cared for the Cosmo Tiger. Now the Cosmo Tiger II, I'll gladly buy!! I got my Cosmo zero ordered, it's one of my favorite fighter design off all time! Can't wait to get it!! Chris
  16. Dobber

    Custom VF-0S Enigma

As always, Fantastic work Kurt!!!! Chris
  17. COOL!! That's my Blue splinter camo SV-51!!!! I made that a few years ago, I was hoping someone would remember it!!! Thanks Macross73!!! I can post more pictures of it if anyone is interested. Chris
  18. YES!!!!!!! SV-51 BABY!!!!!!!!! Chris
  19. That's an awful lot of detail for such a small model...WOW. Chris
  20. I was just wondering if that was the Bandai 1/100 ex-32 kit that HLJ is showing as a Feb release. Chris
  21. Oh my! That's gorgeous!!! Is it a kit? What scale and how much!? I can't read japanese. Chris
  22. That is the sorriest looking, peice of..............! Chris
  23. I'll try to find where I got the info, either way at the VERY least it won't be the correct color. Chris
  24. No, the Stand-alone Ghost is the Drone version, it's painted different and has other different features such as canards and a sensor eye. I thought I remember someone saying that it will not have the missiles and such too. So either way, we are not getting the "fast pack" type ghost booster. Chris
  25. I'm still waiting for mine from TwinMoons. But it should be shipping soon! Chris
