Got you covered David! Great minds think alike Chris
-
WOW!!!! Thank you Graham!! Question, do you know if the lower aft stabilizers will angle down more and they just aren't pushed down all the way on this peice? Thanks Again. Chris
-
I'm pretty sure it just folds back. Hasegawas is in the folded position while the one shown with the Yamato is in the extended position. Chris

I gotta say that I'm a little worried about the potential price of this sucker. Look at the 19..... nearly $200 and it came with nothing. The 51 is just as complex if not more so, larger, and it will come with a stand and other items like bosters and missilepods. Not jumping on the Yamato price gouging bandwagon here but............suprise me Yamato, because I'm not going to hold my breath. Just going to have to really save for this sucker. Chris

Cool I never noticed that, Thanks Graham! I always thought they where just external drop tanks like in episode 3!! So stoked over this thing!!!! I guess the cover for the top of the wing, when the boosters aren't attached, will also help keep the wings sturdy too.? Chris

Two mags is the standard equipment on the SV-51 Chris

Ok, thanks! Looking forward to seeing more of this baby!!! Thanks again for all the pictures Graham. Chris

Amen! Graham, I have one more question.....now THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT OR A NITPICK.....I was curious why the engine fans are always put so far forward in these toys....starting with the 1/48 VF-1's to the SV-51......instead of them being further back in the intakes. Is this a consious choice on the designers part or is it done out of necessity for the construction process and so forth. It just looks really drastic in the SV-51 and I was curious. edit: For my horrible spelling Chris
-
Graham, is it supposed to come with 4 weapons pods, and not just 2 with 2 drop tanks? Is that a mistake? Chris
-
DAMN!!!!! Now I know I definately want that!!!!!!! It looks so much better in that picture!!!!! Love the finish of the color too. Graham is that the stand that will be inclueded? Also, this is schedueled to be released around the end of the summer right? I need time to save!!! Chris

Battlestar Galactica Discussion

I agree about the little character moments too. Hotdog and Helo's interplay, Apollo's briefing (and like DH said Starbuck was just right in that scene with her "critique" of Apollo's briefing...more playful), and I also liked Apollo's comment to Dee about the box from his father..."is it ticking?" I really liked the episode. Chris -
Great Work! I really like how this is comming along. I agree with what others have said about a few lines being hard to understand or just seeming off though. Keep it up though...looking forward to seeing the completed product Chris

Wouldn't the YF-19 need new wings for external ordinance. There aren't any mounting holes. Chris

Battlestar Galactica Discussion

I realize that, I never said it should have nor would I want it to have a battle week after week. All I said was that the last time we really had anything of that nature was episode 4. It's just been a while is all. Chris -

I really liked it too. I've really liked the past few episodes. Now, this isn't a complaint just an observation, but it's been a while since we had any kind of Viper action. In fact except for the escape from new Caprica there really hasn't been much space combat, and that epsiode was more Capital ships duking it out too....which I liked!!! I hope they have something cool in store for us. Chris -
Thanks guys. BSU, I used 8 different greys for all the different panels plus the panel wash! Mr March, that was what I originally wanted to do but they wouldn't stay in place so they are glued into place now. Thanks again guys. Chris

Thought maybe you all would like to see my kit since we all seem to like different spacecraft and fighters. Here are the pictures of my completed Thunderbolt. Idid some pretty significant modifications to it to accurize it and I'm really happy with how she turned out. Hope you all like it too! http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS384.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS385.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS386.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS345.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS387.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS389.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS390.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS391.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS392.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS393.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS333.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS342.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS375.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS378.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS380.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS394.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS395.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS396.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd821/TOYS398.jpg Chris

Gotta stand with David and Eugimon on this one too. But as you said Graham, I will also exercise my right as a consumer and just not buy the fast packs too. 1st releases are just getting too hit or miss anymore as well. I would also like it if they would actually give us some sort of release schedule like some else already said so I may make an informed decision with my purchases. I'm glad they are making an SV-51 and I'd really like one but with current prices coupled with current quality I have reservations. But I also don't want to miss out on a DD paint scheme. Plus I'd also like to buy a VF-11 if that ever happens, but with no info and spotty QC (at best) 'm just not sure If I should just spend my money else where. Problem is Yamato is the pretty much the only game in town for nice "looking" Macross toys. Chris

B5 all the way, particularlly the epsidode when Narn ships engaged shadow ships from beyond visual range with there particle beem weapons. Always hated that about StarTrek. The Enterprise could fire it's phasers at a target on a plantes surface hundreds of miles away....but yet needed to get within a few KM's to fire on another ship. Chris

Got mine too! Thanks alot. Now I just have to figure out where they all go :S Chris

Yeah, I really don't like classics Jetfire either. I really regret buying it for $20. The worst of the bunch IMO. Chris -
He was pretty freaking funny too. Chris

Well I for one would like new and better 1/60 VF-1's, but that's neither here nor there for this thread. Chris
