Sounds like the DVD "movie" is going to be about Pegasus!!!! Here is a sample of an interview with Ron Moore: We won't be seeing Season 4 until January 2008, but I understand there's going to be some kind of miniseries or movie coming before then? There is something that they're calling "extra episodes" or "extended episodes" -- they keep shifting the nomenclature. Essentially, we are shooting two hours of "Galactica" that will be broadcast on SciFi Channel sometime in the fall. Let's say they broadcast it on a Friday; then, on the following Monday, it will be available on DVD. That story will not pick up our cliffhanger at the end of Season 3. That didn't seem right. The story will be set on the Battleship Pegasus and will take place in the past, relative to where we are in Season 3. But the events set up in that story will then pay off in Season 4. What was the reasoning behind doing that? They came to us. It gives Home Video something to sell in the stores. Since we won't be back until January, which is a long time to be off the air, it gives the fans something to see and keeps the show alive. So it serves multiple masters. There was no way we could pick up the cliffhanger in that format, and then ask people to wait to really start the season later. One of the story lines everyone had really liked was the Pegasus story and the character of Admiral Cain, so we decided to go with that. The whole interview can be read here. Well since we are going to have a 9 month Hiatus till Season 4 and the movie doesn't sound like it will come out until just before then, my guess is that the DVD's won't come out till around the same time as well, to get interest back up for the show. If I remember correctly it took the Mini series and the other season quite a bit of time to come out on DVD after they aired. . Though the R2 versions of the DVD's seem to be released pretty quickly Chris

Whoa, if you are talking about me I was NOT complaining, in fact I said it didn't get too preachy to one side or the other, and that I mearly notice come left leanings. Not sure where you get complaining from that. If not at me then......disregard Oh and it's Excellent television. Chris

I agree that the show doesn't seem to get too preachy for one side or the other, though I can see it's left leanings. I guess I like some escapism while I also like intellegent thought provocking themes as well. I think the show does pretty good in both respects. Chris

LOL agreed! I thought Lee was perfectly in character. He's an admirable guy IMO. As for the possible Pegasus movie, I mentioned it a while ago and I got it from AICN which I will admit isn't known for being completely reliable or accurate. It is, I believe, where the whole Pegasus movie rumor/idea got started. I do hope it's true though. Chris

Possibly because a 1/60 VF-11 will be pretty small compaired to the other 1/60's except the VF-1....just a shot in the dark Chris

Why it's the VF-11 of course!!! Think about it, it catches the YF-21, it has the big ass booster (cigarette lighter), and it has a Bayonette for the can opener!!! Oh God I hope it is the VF-11, I want one sooooo bad!!! Chris

Knight, what is a speckled trout? An AF term for a certain Aircraft? I'm an Air Traffic Controller (FAA not military) and just incase you didn't know, Air Force 1 is ANY airforce aircraft that the President flys on. Many people, not saying you, but many people don't get that and think that Airforce 1 is only a big Blue and Wite 747. If the president flew in an Air Force Cessna Skymaster, for some god forsaken reason, that would be called Air Force 1. When Bush flew aboard the U.S.S. Lincoln in the S-3, that S-3 was called Navy 1. Army one would be for any Army aircraft, Marine 1 would be any marine aircraft, and Executive 1 is for any civilian aircraft that the prez flies on. Just bring this up because you said best (worst) part about the Aircraft being used as AF1. Not sure if I just didn't understand what you were saying. Chris

Question, You seem less enthused about this release than you have in the past with the VF-0's and the YF-19, is it just because you aren't a big fan of the SV-51 or is there something wrong with the design? ( like what Retracting Head Ter Ter said) It's LOOKING really good to me though, I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. Retracting Head Ter Ter, were you serious? I guess if it did happen, it's better that it happened now so Yamato can reenforce the joints. Chris

I have a feeling that Starbuck may turn out to be the first cylon hybrid...unbeknownst to the Cylons, except for Leobin....that way she won't REALLY be a cylon. Maybe she was concieved be her mom and Leobin or one of his model so that's why he is so preoccupied with her. Just a thought. Or maybe the "Leobin" she was talking with while she was unconsious is the same thing as the Six in Baltars head and the Baltar in Six's head. War of the Gods... Chris

Great episode! I'm wondering where this is going? For those of you that are also spaceship junkies like me, did you notice the NEW MK VII. The MK VII's in this episode where redesigned. The differences are new intakes/redisigned intakes....the ones next to the canopy are now more angular and pronounced and new intakes in the same position but under the wings. The nose is also redesigned....it is now wider and a little flatter with more curve on the underside. the nose now looks more like the MKII. Finally the Wing LERX are totally different now. They originally went from the wing root ( where the new intakes are) to pretty much the tip of the nose in a straight line. They now have a nice curve to them and end about half way down the nose. They look almost exactly like the New SuperHornet LERX's.....in fact the changes are alot like the differences between a legacy Hornet and a Superhornet. I like alot! I wonder if all the MK VII's are now supposed to look like this or if this is possibly one of the newly produced Vipers that Pegasus made back in "Scar" It would be cool if say the old design was something like a Viper MK VIIc and the new one is like a Viper MK VIIe. Could tell either, but was the MK VII a different color too...possibly a grey or metalic grey. Anyway cool epsiode I liked it. I wonder what the big show directional change is going to be, that they say is comming at the end of the season. Chris
