1/60 perfect transforming vf-1 from yamato?
Dobber replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
So I'm guessing that the Roy Strike won't include the extra Super part......infact are the fronts of the boosters even removable? Chris -
This is great news indeed!!! So it looks like they are making the 1/60 perfect Transformation VF-25 and then I'm guessing 1/72 fighter and Battroid models???? ala hasegawa? Chris

CG Star Wars movie in theatres this august
Dobber replied to lord_breetai's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Does anyone know if the Theatrical release will be something NEW or is it just going to be the first few episodes of the series edited together to make a movie. Granted it's technically new either way because we haven't seen the first few episodes yet, but I think you all know what I mean. Chris -

Need more pictures and info!!!!!!! I'm not going to go nuts with these but I'll need at least one of each variant....ok so I guess I am going to go nuts. I'd really like to know the release order for these though. Also, will the Super/Strike parts be sold seperately? Chris -
Gorgeous!!!!! I really like it!!! Great work! Chris

After the Strike: When Your Favorites Will Return!
Dobber replied to chrono's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'm really bummed that Journeyman was cancelled. I found that to a very intelligent show that didn't reduce itself to the lowest common denominator all the time with uber violence and constent sex appeal. Oh well. Chris -
There is a discussion about this over at SSM. One of the trekkies said that the Enterprise did have many/most of it's components built on earth and then they were launched into space for final assembly/construction. Don't know if this is true/cannon, but I'm not about to get into an argument over it with a Trekkie/Trekker. They know infinantly more about Trek than I ever will. Chris

Count me as one of them!!! Man I really hope they make this and if so I'm really looking forward to seeing what he'll look like!! Question for you all though, would a Dino bots Alt mode be considered the Robot mode? They seem to prefer being in Dino mode over the bot mode If so that would make them kinda of unique sincce they are opposite of other transformers. Thaey just better make the Rex mode look awesome. Personally, I found the classics Grimlock the best of the bunch so far and if the MP version used the consepts from that, the dino should look amazing!!! Chris

I wouldn't call this one a "FAKE" because the artist...who's name escapes me....never claimed it was for the new movie. He just made this design and is a really talented artist who did some beautiful shots of this ship. Anyne who has the Ships of the Line book should recognize it becuae it is in the book. The other picture....the one of the Enterprise under construction....IS real though. Chris
-
That picture has been my background for months now. Too bad it is NOT the new Enterprise...cause it's beautiful Chris
-
But, disappointed they don't have the FFR-31 Sylphid. Or are the second set of pictures the same product line....I'm confused Chris

Yeah, Shin nearly took her out in an F-14. She only survived because she could transform....not because she was a better pilot. Chris
-
I remember those. I just figured they never made to production. So they are still comming? What company makes these again? OmeOre? Chris

This doesn't look good http://tv.ign.com/articles/833/833633p2.html Also http://www.rondmoore.com/Site/Blog/Entries...tica_wraps.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From RDM himself... Quote: wrapped on episode 413 late last night, and there’s no certain date to resume shooting. No more scripts exist. My office staff has been laid off. My cast has been suspended, without pay. I refuse to believe that we won’t finish, that we won’t be back to film our final stories, but I know and accept there is that possibility. The strike will be a seminal event for many of us in this business as it’s put literally everything we care about in the balance (if only for a short time so far) for something we all believe is important. Writers talk a lot about the strike, about the reasons we’re out on the picket lines and our feelings and experiences in the business. It’s been an interesting three weeks. I’ve connected with more scribes in the last few weeks than in many months before and I come away from it to date with a sense of optimism about the solidarity of the membership and admiration for my peers. Galactica’s coming back, I frakking promise you that. But I am ready to put the rest of the story on the table and take the risk that I’ll never be able to tell it, in support of this strike. Like Adama says, you make your choices and then you live with them. Still. A helluva gamble.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This demonstrates another problem with releasing shows in widely spaced seasons or half seasons. I hated the way the seasons where so far apart. Having nothing to do with the Strike it just moved our favorite show so far back, that it is now falling victim to the strike. I too support the strike, I'm a union man myself....I just hate seeing something that I love, possibly being ended when it could've been seen through to the end if it wasn't dicked with so much in the first place. Like Ghostryder said, Bulbous is different than too wide. This and the 1/48s canopies are too wide when viewed from above. Like someone else said probably just a comprimise for Batt mode. Not a deal breaker just my least favorite feature from the 1/48 that is in this design as well. Overall I really do like the way it looks. Chris -

That's exactly how I felt too. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that about both the 1/48 and this new 1/60. Don't get me wrong still love both, but that was my least favorit thing about the 1/48...to me, the wide canopy looks too action figure vehicle-ish, and it looks like it's being carried over in this new design too. I like how the main gear seem to swivel, to fit in the wing root ...more like real landing gear. Chris

Graham, do you know or can you tell us what kind of exhaust it will have. I'd love to have a VF-1 that finally has the accurate panel type exausts. Chris -
