Battlestar Galactica Discussion III
Dobber replied to kaiotheforsaken's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Actually I was saying that you said that Grace and Tricias charaters have died multiple times and they DIDN'T remove their names and their charaters obviously aren't dead. So if they took Katies name out after her character died then maybe they are serious about it Doesn't matter anyway her ghost kills Adama in the end anyway. OOOPs did I say that Chris -
I really hope HLJ sells the unasembled version, there is one more custom I'd like to make but can't really affoard ANOTHER $80 toy. Chris

Was the episode that aired this past friday a new episode? My freaking DVR didn't record it...(it seems to just decide not to record things sometimes) but when I checked the program guide it wasn't labled as NEW. Anyone know when they reair the epsiodes on CN? The last episode I saw was the one where they look for Luminara underground and are attack by the "Zombie" bugs. Chris- 1217 replies

I remember a lot fof people didn't like that episode when it aired, but I liked it. I like Lee, he's one of the main characters that I thought was under used/ appreciated. He has a really good speach at the end of the season. Chris -
Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.6
Dobber replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
WOW! I may have to make this my first DX and skip the kit...or maybe wait for the hopeful cannon fodder instead...not crazy about Brera's color scheme. See, this toy shows what Bandai could've done with the 25. Hope they make a version 2 VF-25 with the improvements that are evident on the 27...better landing gear, nose cone isn't upside down, excelent leg position in fighter mode, and what appears to be more range of motion in the legs for a proper gerwalk. Chris -
Got my paint scheme all picked out and decals ready! Can't wait to get it! My avatar tells all! Chris

Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Model Kit Thread Ver.3
Dobber replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Cool! That's the one I'm waiting for! Chris -
I would also like to say that Davids (Justicair's) kits are beautiful, I have two of them...the MacArthur and the Abbe. Incredible detail and casting at such a small scale 1/2500. Sorry Daivid I didn't see this thread before. I like the idea of making the "components" separate so people can mix and match as they like. Chris

He finally got there!!! I love how the camera pulls away from the Galactica as it is getting shot to hell and the music gets more somber and quiet and then BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM! Peagsus comes charging in and blows one base ship to hell right off the bat. You knew it was comming but still a great sequence and by far the best peice of action music in the entire series IMO. As everyone else said you will see lasting effects on the characters and the ship for the remainder of the show. I really love the "malcontent ass chewing" that is given in a comming episode. There are still some nice visual effect type episodes or sequences in the remainder of the show but, IMO, Exodus part 2 was the last great one. Chris -

I think we are all waiting for him to hit THAT particular episode What was it episode 4 of s3? Chris -
The profile looks a bit off. I wonder why they are making the chest/collar area raised in fighter mode? Surely that's not necessary anymore? I thought maybe it's like that because it's a prototype, but after really looking closely I think it's meant to be like that. Chris

Plenty of pictures here. http://www.starshipmodeler.net/talk/viewtopic.php?t=78606 You can also pre-order at starshipmodeler or many other sites. I have a couple on pre-order already. Chris Edit: I hate it when people speek of pictures on websites that need you to be a member to view pics. Here they are for those that aren't members of SSM. http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/7991/1484891img.jpg http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/9008/1484890img.jpg http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/8803/1484882img.jpg http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/8787/1484883img.jpg http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/5874/1484884img.jpg http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/3763/1484885imga.jpg http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/7135/1484886img.jpg -
Battlestar Galactica Discussion III
Dobber replied to kaiotheforsaken's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Yup, I think it was because the show seemed to become more Cylon-centric. Particularly S-4. Again still a huge fan of the show just wasn't as jazzed by the last season and a half. Also, don't get me wrong, there are still some great moments with out spoiling anything, Mealstrom, Adama putting a few surly officers in their places, and one of my fav's, Lee's speech. I DID also like the finale. Big division there too. Chris -

Yup agree. Unfortunately...for ME....I felt that the show lost something after that episode. Don't get me wrong, LOVED the series, but I felt the second half of S3 - the end, the show just lost something for me. Chris -

Yeah, I understand how the flight dynamic works. I was more reffering to how she acted afterwards like she did it all herself. Forgot about Starbuck essentially putting her in her place, though, with the names of the fallen. That was good. I actually found the development of Starbuck better...in this episode....because she showed the maturity to do what needed to be done, as you described above. More what you would expect from a senior officer and the flight lead. Chris -

Yeah, that episode single handedly made me DESPISE Kat....and then we are supposed to care for her later on . Besides, she only got the kill because Starbuck led scar to her...not to mention that Starbuck saved both of their asses by checking their six. Chris -

Yup, I'd like that too. I also really like how the one that Vi-RS posted incorperates the side panel covers as part of the transformation. Genious!! They BOTH are truely incredible works. Chris

Ahhh!!! Thank You Jarrod!!! I love this custom. I wanted to see it again and couldn't find it....even after being 10 pages deep in a google search. If any of you haven't seen this yet you should do yourselves a favor and check it out.... Brilliant work! Chris
