  1. I would be interested in one, but if this is going to cost more than a standard transforming 1/60 VF-1 I'll pass. Chris
  2. I missed that, where was Cap's sheild in Iron Man I? Chris
  3. I prefer acrylics too, just, that color only came in enamel. Luckily though, I started with the Ghost Gray base then painted on the enamel flanker blue in large "stripes" across the fuselage whith some "edging" then put the navy blue gray on and lastly the intermediate blue. Basically, going from lightest to darkest. So much of the enamel gets covred this way to hide any errors or sections that you don't like! Chris
  4. Anyone else having a problem with amiami english site. I keep getting the japanese site even after clicking the link for the english site from google or using my favorites link. Chris
  5. Thanks for the compliments MickyG. The NSAWC Tomcat is where I started from, for my SV-51. I made mine kind of a cross between it and an actual Flanker....pretty much the NSAWC Tomcat just a bit more "busy." For mine, I used MM acrylics and 1 MM enamel. They are: MM Acrylic light ghost grey overall MM enamel Flanker light blue (I think this is what it was called) for the light blue portions MM Acrylic US Navy blue-grey for the medium blue color MM Acrylic Itermediate Blue for the dark blue portions I would definately recommend sealing it in a clear coat. I used MM laquer. Haven't had many problems with chiping just a fe spots where the hinges wheren't dissassembled (main wing joint) but I believe that since you the kit that is already disassembled it shouldn't be much of a problem. As for tight fits due to paint...not sure, I'd think that if you kept the coats thin it shouldn't effect it too bad, pluss the VF-1's transformation is prett simple compaired to the SV-51. I'd think that the worst area for chipping on the VF-1 would be where the legs attach under the wing roots....that tab is always tight for me. Anyway, really looking forward to seeing what you do with your VF-1, no worries with me glad to see it! Chris
  6. Funny, I was just thinking that this was the first year in a while that there wasn't anything new comming out in the summer at all or that i wanted from yamato. Looking forward to finally seeing some progress pictures of the VF-19. Hope the sculpt is a big improvement over the YF-19. Chris
  7. Hey guys, here is my 1/20th scale Viper MK VII model I finished a few weeks ago. Hope you like it. http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q222/cd...per%20MK%20VII/ Chris
  8. Fantastic build! I'm working on mine at the moment...going for a custom schem from the VF-1 book. You said that the bubble canopy doesn't fit right though. that sucks!! Anyway nice build up! Chris
  9. yeah miss these paints too. My local HS was the only place I could find one of my favorite colors, #5 standard navy grey, but they are no longer available anymore and I can't find it anywhere either. Chris
  10. I liked it too. So what was Eli showing Young at the end...was it the keno video of Ming Na with the other civies from earlier or was it when she was talking to Rush at the end? Chris
  11. Yup, just got mine today! Will go nicely with my MKI and my resin 1/32 MK VIIE from timeslip creations I just finished! Chris
  12. I liked last weeks "Submarine" episode alot, but the previous weeks Padme episode was HORRIBLE IMO. "Lets not create any more clones to send as re-enforcements to our troops on the frontlines so that we can give diplomacy a chance!?" OK....when the enemy can pound you into the dirt THEY don't have much insentive to negotiate with you dumb ass! I'm sure her husband would really appreciate that. REALLY made me dislike her character or at least the person/writer that came up with that idea. Plus she called a senator who opposed her a war monger!!!! WTF! Worst episode of the series IMO. Chris

    1/48 VF-1

I'll be starting mine tomorrow, plan on doing a custom color scheme too. Chris
  14. Agreed. I think a mini series of some sort would be great in the Cylon War era so You could still have the great drama but still have good action. After all Galactica, wasn't really about fighting a war...per say, it was more about surviving and how people deal with such horrible events. While a war series, IMO, would require more action. Not nessessarily all the time, still lots of room for great drama and characters, but I would think a little more than was in Galactica. Moore himself stated in a pod cast that he wasn't all that intersted in the action sequences...or hated writing them.... but did it for the fans. One of the reasons I think there was only a few good action episodes per season. Addmitidly, they were FANTASTIC scenes though. Chris
  15. I'm more worried that Moore and company are more interested in character driven dramas than sci-fi action. That isn't nessessarily a bad thing and doesn't mean that wouldn't fit with a first cylon war series of some sort, for all we know it could be a show about civilian life in the fleet or life on earth after the show ended.....high drama low action. Just don't people to be diappointed if it is not what most of us seem to want because someone said it's going to be about the first cylon war when the artical said no such thing. Chris
  16. While I'd LOVE a series or mini series set during the first cylon war.....I didn't see anything in that article that said the possible series would be set there. Chris
  17. Sold! Chris
  18. That was pretty Fakking cool! Chris
  19. Just got my 1/48 YF-19, looks real nice......but.....I gotta say it's smaller then I was expecting. I recently sold my yamato 1/60 19, but going from memory this kit seems about the same size as the yamato 1/60. Anyone have a compairison? Chris
  20. You have a nice build comming along there TER-OR. Looking forward to seeing more! Chris
  21. Payment sent to amiami!!!!!!! Chris
  22. I take it back, it is actually slightly longer than the 1/60 VF-0 ..... ooops. I just looks soooo much smaller than other fighters. Chris
  23. What did you use for your base coat? I like it alot. Mine is too dark I think. Chris
  24. Very nice! I really want to get another and paint it in a more traditional manner like that instead of the insaino version that I did on mine. Just can't get the money together for another one when there is too many other things to spend my money on Chris
