    Did anyone here order through HLJ and get a shipping notice yet? I pre-ordered mine way back when it was first announced but haven't got a payment request yet and there stock shows back-ordered...don't know if that means for my order though. chris

    Honestly, I really can't put my finger on it, maybe it was just the chosen facial expressions the artists used. They always looked pissed off, even in normal conversations in a safe environment...particularly Lorrie talking to Carol. I also thought the Definately, a good series but the writers/creaters definately seemed more adept at making misery then giving any HOPE. I felt the TV show balanced the 2 well. Yes I know, horrible plague or whatever will leave people miserable, and rightly so. But I also think that people will also hang on to any good we can find.The characters seemed to just want to piss each other off all the time in the comic. Really can't figure out why I feal this way though. Chris

    Totally agree, it's my absolute least favorite design......by far. Looks like a transformer TOY. Baffles me why people love it so, but hate other designs. Like everything, it's just all a matter of personal taste is all. Chris

    I'm hoping this will be a complete, or near to, redesign. The line-art, cad image or what ever it waqs that was posted, with all the different sections colored differently, looked promising to me. Didn't look like the craptastic DX 25 at all. Engine/legs looked good and the nose cone wasn't upside down like the dx 25 had...seriously look at the image upside down and you get the exact ugly "witch" nose that the DX has! So far I'm hopeful. Maybe my computer screen is just shown the colors differently...I'm on a netbook atm....but the color didn't look pink to me, it looks more orange....am I completely off? Chris

    I just got my Bandai 1/500 Yamato kit...freaking brilliant!! Anyone know a good color match for the grey of Yamato's hull? The molded colors look great, but I'm still going to paint this sucker and was curious if Tamiya or testors made a good color that matches Yamato's grey. Chris

    I just finished the compendium this week...it ends with Overall I gotta say it was just an ok series for me, maybe I was expecting more the way it was talked up. Definately dark though. Personally, I prefer the tv series, found the characters a little bit more likeable. Chris

    I'd vote for the SV-51. Beside the one Roy shot down in episode 1, I don't recall seeing an SV-51 shot down by a VF-0. Not saying none were not, but just using screen evidence. VF-0 does have it's advantages too, though, as have been mentioned. Another area we have to factor in is transformation time, IIRC the SV-51 did have a longer transform time than the VF-0 which in this category could be crucial. Chris

    So I guess the designation of VF-19E is now this, instead the Kai variant that it was used for in the VF-19 Master file book. Don't really care for this one either. Chris

    Thanks for the info Kyp. Love the like of Andromeda but do wish it was bristling with some more guns. Also, anyone else think the GX-58 Andromeda's Wave motion effect is not as impressive looking as Yamato's? Maybe it was just due to it being demonstrated in a larger well lit room...hope that's all it is cause it doesn't seem to light up as much. Chris

    Totally agree about the Wave motion gun effect being the biggest selling point to this and it's the main thing tempting me to this. I also like the main gun sounds too. I don't like how the BPX's effect has the mechanical noise of the turrets turning before you get the satisfying thud of the guns firing. Anyone else find it odd that the design for Andromeda seems kind of under armed compaired to Yamato, no AA batteries. Chris

    yeah, I've always liked the main battleship too. I may have to take the plunge for Andromeda....even with that freaking high price. As for prices dropping I'm not so sure, the BPX, after-all, is still pretty high too. Chris
