    That's kind of the boat I'm in as well Kyp. That's why I was curious if the Japanese fans where feeling that these prices were getting a little high for them too, though obviously not as bad as it is for foreign fans. Unfortunately, if the trend continues the, the bubble is gonna have to burst at some point. Chris

    That I agree with It was the second part of your sentence "and then they won't continue to bother us by making anymore Macross toys" that bugged me. There has been this attitude here by some recently and in the past, that we HAVE to buy all releases to get the more desired releases or better versions of subjects ect. My appologies if I lumped you into that group. Edit: interestingly, in the VF-11 thread Graham stated the the 11 line wasn't successful and that was why Yamato hasn't continued with it or added any accessories for the 2 existing toys. Speaking purely from the cost stand-point, they were kind of pricey valks considering the size of the toy, they cost about as much as the SV-51 or the YF-21 which were both much larger and came with more things. It kind of sucks that Yamato may judge success of they line when the costs are getting so high. What are they expecting? As for the VF-17, it really is a non-issue for me, never cared for the design to begin with and personally don't like how this sculpt is looking in fighter mode. Put that with the really high price and.....well... Chris

    Went back to HLJ to check out the 25S again and to see if they where order stopped yet and couldn't find it. Came back here and used the link and noticed that it is listed as the "Y"F-25S. Maybe that's why we weren't seeing it for so long. Lol! Chris

    Nor would I want it to be in this case. A 100% accurate adaptation would....honestly be a little boring. But to say we are purists or we have the book so deal with it (paraphrasing here) is a bit unfair. You already have the movie, so to use your argument it will always be there for you to be enjoyed. We would just like something that is "closer" to the book, ie more serious if something new were to be made. Chris

    I saw the movie first, and liked it a lot. Then I read the book..........really find it hard to stomach the movie now.....at least as starship troopers. The troopers really just seemed like a bunch of untrained goofs, with rifles. Not at all like the book. I always likened the book with Full Metal jacket.....though with a more positive view on serving. not saying anyone shouldn't like the movie or anything was just hoping we would get a more serious take on the source material. As frothymug said, yes we have the book, but you also have the movie. Can't fault us for wanting something closer to what we like(the book) when you are wanting something closer to what you like (the movie)too. Chris

    Yeah, I'm a little disappointed that it's a sequel to the movies and not a new adaptation of the book. Love the book. was the original OVA any good? Chris

    Love to, but instead of the message window coming up like it use to, a small dialog box appears in my upper left portion of my screen and I can't expand it or move it (using my ipad2 at the moment) and I can't see what or where I'm typing. So far not really thrilled with these changes, they don't seem to work well with what I use 99.9% of the time for my Internet browsing, that's just me though. Chris Just signed up with that gravatar thing, didn't want to but it seems to work. One more user name and password to remember now yay!

    Tried that, as I said in my previous post. There is no other photo to select and the "chose file" option doesn't do anything. So there are no picture options I can use (since my old Avatar isn't there and the "choose file" button won't work) or do I have to use that gravatar option now? Chris
