    Well I didn't get the YF-29 after all. After waiting more than a week for my order to ship, I sent an email asking about the status of my order. Got an email last night saying that when they were preparing my order for shipping the Valk was not available anymore. They sent a refund for the item and its portion of the shipping. They also gave me a 10% off coupon for a new order. Bummer. Chris

    If you mean the latest DVD/BluRay with 7,8,9,10 on it, it's already out. They are more story centered episodes. Not a lot of action, but still very good. Chris

    From what I can tell so far the differences are: Different canopy More angular and hard edged nose and intakes "Splinter" panel in front of the intakes (think F-4 Phantom intakes) Different engine nozzles (smaller than the MkII's) Different/added exposed equipment areas around the engines Underside has some sort of greeblie detail that LOOKS similar to the launch rail tracks on TOS Viper undersides The overall design of the MkII is VERY similar to the MkII just more angular instead of the smooth/ clean rounded surfaces of the MkII.     For any number of reasons really, in the case of the spitfire the RAF needed something to counter the FW-190. The proposed new mark spitfire, the MK VIII, needed a major fuselage modification. So in the interm, they made the MkIX, which used many of the advances the VIII was going to use but on a slightly modified MK V airframe. Funny thing is, the interim/stop-gap MkIX is arguably considered one of if not the best spitfire mark. Lol For info on the MkIX Spitfire and her other marks check here: http://www.historyofwar.org/articles/weapons_spitfire_mkIX.html In the case of the Vipers, maybe the engines or avionics for the MkII were not ready or that the more rounded smooth surface of the MKII was taking longer to manufacture so they took some of the design eliments of the MkII and used some older tech to create the MkIII to counter the Cylon threat. Also militaries can have several different variants in service at the same time, so maybe there are already MkII's in service and we are just seeing MKIII's in this show. Who knows, but I don't personally don't have any issue with them using a MkIII Viper at this point in the show/war. Chris

    It's actually a MK III. It was stated in episode 3, I think. Not unheard of for a more newer MK airframe to be put into production before the previous MK. Happened with the Spitfire in WWII. Chris

    That does look surprisingly good! I have 2 of the unbuilt kits at home that I still haven't got around to building so this could be tempting. I wonder what Galactica will look like. Chris

    Well it did say low stock when I ordered it. I even re clicked the link provided in the 29 thread AFTER I ordered and it showed low stock still. Then a few minutes later it was back to being discontinued. That's why I am curious if I actually got one or not. It's strange that they hasn't sent a payment request yet IF I did. Chris

    Has anyone ever ordered something from HLJ...the item showed as low stock......and within a few minutes of ordering the item shows discontinued. I got my order confirmation but still haven't received my payment request and am concerned that I didn't get the item...a 30th anniversary YF-29........and was wondering if HLJ will still come through. Ordered Wednesday a.m. when it showed back in stock. Chris

    After watching the magnificence that is Yamato 2199 (something that updates the designs without completely changing them, and stays true to the original story with just minor modifications) i'd be all for an update to SDFM. Chris

    I think it said he'll start with the metallic and black suit and then be upgraded to the all black one we've been seeing. I also think the mattalic one looks so much better. Chris

    Yup, and the Commander was Master-at-arms Hadrian. The Dradis officer was Cpt. Kelly and the ace pilot that Adama was fawning over was One of the "sunshine boys" from the Pegasus...the one that joined in Geats's coup. Chris

    Yup, MkIII's are confirmed...also surprised to see that the Valkyrie class Battlestars are old enough to have served in the first Cylon war. Most thought it was a newer Battlestar when it was shown in the regular series. Fantastic show so far. Fraking SyFy for not going forward with this. Maybe, we can at least get some more movies that take place during the first war. Plenty of stories to tell. Chris
