Never saw the OVA but heard most Yamato that came after Farwell was pretty bad...that is until 2199 which is simply AMAZING......but I also really liked the lines of the 2520 Yamato, plus can't beat that price either! Chris

That's how I was when I bought one of Valk009's 1/72 VF-4 kits. Thought it looked nice and it was a good price that could help me round out my collection. Then, while building it I really started to appreciate the design. Chris

It's alright Graham, I'm the same way with preferring fighter mode. As for not liking the VF-4 it's ok, people like what they like. For me it's the VF-17, for the life of me I can not understand why people like it so much. Particularly the Yamato version, it's so chubby looking in fighter mode. It's all good though. Chris

Count me as another person who always wondered about that. 2199 mentioned something about camouflage, but realistically the real Yamato and the SB Yamato only share a passing resemblance to each other. Not to mention where did all of the SB Yamatos fins and antenna magicallyl come from? Like you said, probably just a case of anime magic. Chris

Not sure how I feel about the whole thing, but understand where Lupin is comming from. However, the whole "scalpers are people too, have families ect" thing is asinine. There are career theifs that have families, bills, ect...doesn't make it ok when they rob me. I realize they are 2 different things and you don't have to buy from the scalper if you don't want to, but they are also preventing people from buying at the initial sale. Don't see how this is a supply and demand thing here, IF scalpers buy up all or most of a product they are forcing sales to go through them at their price. Chris

The dorsal fins or Stabilizers can actually be pulled in and out of the house...to a degree. Try gentely pushing it down (into the engine housing) to tighten one or raising the other to correct the angle. Chris

Well crap! Missed out again. Too many people know about NY now I guess. Pre-orders for the 29 reissue were closed as of 6:50am est but the do have the instock 29 for $60 more! WTF! Hard to buy it when you see the lower price for the preorder right next to it! Agree with other sentiments...F U bandai! Lol! Chris

Nice pictures Mommar. Would it be possible to snap a picture of it without the shoulder speaker fins on? Just wanted to see how it looks and how big the hole is for them. It was reported that the Valk comes with them not attached but no one seems to be willing to take a picture for me. Not sure if the BAT photos show this as the pictures don't show on my iPad. Chris

Just got caught up on this season and I have really liked it. They fixed the Lorrie issues early on with her acknowledging she was completely wrong in how she treated Rick at the end of last season...he'll even Hershel admitted they ALL had that burden to bare...... But..... Andrea is SOOOOO fraking annoying AGAIN! Couldn't stand her last season, though she seemed to be making a little progress at the end of the season, but now she just totally sucks again. Really despise her character. Chris

I really can't get over how incredible this thing is. It really is a thing of beauty. Fighter mode is PERFECT just so sleek without unsightly bulges that you would expect from such a different transformation process. Which brings me to the transformation itself, it really is surprisingly easy and, IMO, fun to do. Looking forward to you guys getting yours, I feel this is the best Valk Yamato has done to date. Bravo Yamato, Bravo! Chris

What was really annoying to me was I paid for the thing, it went into my private warehouse, and then I made a shipment with it which they sent a separate payment request for (which is normal). At no point did they tell me they didn't have one they waited until I emailed them asking about my order. Was the only time HLJ has ever screwed up with me, but it was quite disappointing as I really want one. Chris
