  1. Are you F*%#ing kidding me. Saw them available about a half hour ago. Thought no way not for $253. Thought about it some more, and decided I might as well order it and could cancel if I decide it is too much later...besides there are 28 units there....go back to order and there feaking gone again!! Aaarrrg! As a note to our lurking scalper "friends" that probably are using us as a way to get a heads up as to what's available and where...you will NOT get my business ..never have never will. Chris
  2. 2015 could be a very big summer for Disney with The Avengers 2 and Star Wars Episode VII set to premier then too. Chris
  3. I wonder if they will include a stand with this release since all the new releases since the original VF-27 had stands included. Hope so with the added cost. Chris
  4. The fact that there has been ZERO further info about this kit since it was originally announced is a pretty bad sign. I really hope it is still comming but.... Chris
  5. I saw this on another site and found it very well done and entertaining, so I thought I'd share it with you all. Watch to after the credits. Chris http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hKZfAQ7L_WM Edit: sorry, I don't see a way of embedding the video while using an iPad...along with spoiler tags ect...

  12. Graham why are spoilers being tossed around now so freely?? Chris
  13. Broke down and bought one...LOL! Now I got to wait a few weeks to get it. I always use registered airmail from NY. Took about 2 weeks both times I used it. Chris
  14. Yeah, proportionally that is deffinately not accurate......but still damn sexy. Chris
  15. Crap, don't know how or why but I previously confused Melda with Shulz's daughter. That's why I said she did nothing, sorry about that guys. Chris
  16. Thanks Westfall, it's all good now. After his last response I decided to just forget it and be done with it as you said. Someone else did provide a link to other statements by Bandai from the way back machine stating it is the 2199 design. If he can't accept that then, like you said, he never will. Thanks again for the help. Chris
  17. Hi Westfall, hope you can find that page. Lol! it continues: "ugh, more silliness about the new tool 1/500 Yamato actually being from 2199. Simply not true, and impossible. I don't where buddy on Hobbytallk was getting his info, but he should check it out before putting it out there. Without having to check it's pretty obvious Bandai put out the new 1/500 kit to coincide with the 2010 live action movie release. The kit is meant to be a complete redo of the original 1974 Yamato (source? try here: http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN965514/Sci ) Not sure why they didn't do a new tool of the live action movie, but it is what it is. The 1/500 kit having usual classic fighters on board instead of the transforming birds from the live action movie and lacking 2199's cosmos falcon are good indicators of this. From what I've seen of the box art and instructions, it mentions nothing about the live action movie OR 2199. But screen shots from the first TV show are in the instructions. I have no proof but I suspect there might have been some kind of business reason not to do a kit based on the live action ship? Bandai isn't stupid people. They wouldn't miss a chance like that to make some bucks. Nor would they launch 2199 kits a solid YEAR AND A HALF BEFORE THE SHOW EVEN AIRED. Instead they put out a new tool 1/500 to cash in the craze surrounding the new live action movie. Not to mention, the 1/500 lacks a lot of detail found on the 1/1000 kit. If the 1/500 is indeed a 'dry run' for the 1/000, why is all that glorious detail missing? (and wouldn't the smaller kit be missing the detail and not the other way around?) Because it wasn't there...on the 1974 Yamato. Also, basic math supports this. the 2199 Yamato is 333 meters long, yes? The old one 265 meters, correct? The 2199 1/1000 kit is 13inches long (I don't have the fins on mine yet) or 33cm. That means that in 1/500 the kit should measure out to 26inches long or 66cm. Except it is in fact almost 21 inches long (or 53cm for us metric people). And you know what? Those numbers (21inches/53cm long) works out extremely well if the ship is 265 meters long....just like the original." Like Major Focker said...I stated the facts. Already answered all of the comments as to why the old fighters were used ect. Guess there is nothing else I can do. Without the article from Bandai. Chris
  18. I understand what you are saying and don't get me wrong, I don't think the spoilers are the greatest thing either....just that I don't think it's as bad as it's being made out to be. Still looks a fun movie to me. Chris
  19. Never have understood the fascination with Melda. I remember someone saying she is very big in Japan. Curious as to why? She was barely in the show and did absolutely nothing. Chris Crap, disregard my stupid comment. I realised I confused Melda with Shulz's daughter. Duh! Sorry about that. Melda es bueno. Chris
  20. Neither do purely argumentative comments like that. You keep stating your OPINION as fact. As twdc stated this is no more silly/dumb/ whatever than alot of what has come before in all of Trek imo. If you hate this movie so much why keep posting here? You have made you feelings more than well known. Chris
  21. Lol your right! Thanks Major. Chris
