  1. Thanks for the pictures William, the case looks great! Going to order one too. I may detail up mine as well but I don't have any spare white decals to use...any suggestions? Chris
  2. Tough to say. There are a few spots where there are "angry/scary" faces but they are quick and usually followed by something funny. My daughter is 6 and she didn't have a problem and there were lots of younger kids at the theater too. I think it would be ok, and I'm not the type that let's my kids watch anything just because it's (cool,I want to see it, ect) like so many parents do now-a-days. Chris
  3. Just got back from seeing it with my family, we all loved it! My daughter and I can't stop singing "Everything is Awesome!" Great movie! Chris
  4. Glad I got the GX-64 when I did, AmiAmi is sold out now. Chris
  5. So has anyone figured out how the Cosmo Falcons on the rear pallets are supposed to launch? The rear carousel is located directly over the launch hatch so any fighter on the "underside" of a pallet would interfere with the launch platform that a fighter would be slid onto and then lowered onto the launch door for it's drop. Did that make any sense? Chris
  6. It's scary how easily corruptible I can be when it comes to SBY! I'd like to get that too, any pictures how it looks with the Yamato or Andromeda? Chris
  7. Damn it, I just broke down and ordered the GX-64 from AmiAmi. Chris
  8. Overall I liked it, but like Renegadeleader I noticed those things as well. Also, could have used less direct quotes from the first movie, IMO. That being said, I did like it. Chris
  9. Congrats Kyp! She looks fantastic! If only I had the money... Chris
  10. You do not pay now or pre-pay with HLJ. You pay when the item is available. Either way you should be fine with AmiAmi...plus they (amiami) are more difficult to cancel orders with and they frown upon it. FYI,HLJ is very simple as you can simply go into your account and just cancel there. No muss no fuss. Chris
  11. Yeah, I was trying to figure it out too, but I got it. Part 1 is her head, part 2 is her upper torso and arms, part 3 is her skirt and legs. Chris
  12. So is this accurately scaled, since the 2199 Yamato is larger than the original Yamato? IIRC it is the same scale as the old GX but I didn't think they actually accounted for the new length. Chris
  13. While I am disappointed by the lack of markings on it.....I DO think I will mildly regret not having this one. Chris
  14. You beat me to it Electric Indigo! Just noticed this from the link in the Yamato thread! Lol! Chris
  15. Apparently there is a flyer in the Purple quad-deck carrier that is confirming that the 1/1000 Domelus III IS comming supposedly in July! Ourstarblazers.com Facebook has info: https://www.facebook.com/CosmoDNA?hc_location=timeline Also the latest hobby japan has some info too. http://www.taghobby.com/1-0/1-2/不斷更新-hobby-japan-2014年3月號-模型內容/ Chris
  16. Look at the vertical stabilizer with the SMS logo that is visible on the Battroid. I think that is a pretty good indication of what the color will look like as it captures the light better in the picture. Chris
  17. Yeah, not seeing it either. Chris
  18. Much, much better. Great work Chris
  19. Lame. Why change the ships name but not the characters? Especially when you here "YAMATO" being said, yelled, and shouted a hell of a lot more than characters...except maybe Yuki. Glad I have the japanese bluray's now even more. Chris
  20. Is that for the upcoming "Rebels" series? The TIEs in the background have that Kenner toy look that this series seems to be using. Chris
  21. "Jeremy Barlow: Due to the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV show’s sudden cancelation, Lucasfilm wasn’t able to film the final episodes of the series, which is a shame because the story is an important — and action-packed — chapter in Darth Maul’s continuing evolution as envisioned by George Lucas." So glad they wasted production time on the useless Padme political episodes. Chris
  22. Just got my new "official" 1/500 2199 Yamato. Man this sucker is huge....I now understand the shipping cost as the box is massive. First impressions are it looks fantastic and I'm looking forward to jumping into this one. One thing I am a little disappointed by, though, is there is no detail to the Cosmo zero hangar and the door that slides open for the zero to get to the catapult is part of the large hull piece that covers the Cosmo Falcon hangar. So if you want to build your Yamato with the hangars opened realistically, without removing a portion of the hull, some modification will be required. Also, only one of the lower hangars can be opened....I had planed on opening both to have a Seagull on one side and a scout plane on the other. Still a wonderful looking kit, well worth the money. Hopefully I will be starting my build soon and may incorporate some of these things into it. Here are some quick/crappy pics from my IPad to show the size difference between the 1/1000 and the behemoth! Chris
