  1. Holy cow! It just broke $500,000! Another $150,000 and it will be fully funded with no other kick starters required! Chris
  2. Ha ha no kidding! I remember the LONG wait for the Platz 1/72 Sylphid kit! ......shudders.....Chris
  3. I have both the upgrade parts and the photo-etch parts. I'll snap some pics of my build in progress for you. I have the the hangar bay sealed so there is not much to see there. Also, I disagree with it's positioning in the hull as the center brace for the carousel was directly over the opening for the Cosmo Falcons making it impossible for them to be lowered and launched. I had to modify it a bit so that it would sit further forward in the hull so it now has room for the Falcon to be launched. I also had to make som modifications and additions to the Cosmo Zero hangar. The main thing I wanted was the photo-etch 3rd hangar....but it is kind of over scaled and doesn't leave a lot of room for the Seagull or Type 100. I'll take some pictures so you can see. Chris
  4. CRAP!! Thanks for the heads up though. Chris
  5. Same here! I bet old Saul would agree with the Klingons..."Queen, Bitch, Whore of the Federation" Chris
  6. I feel your pain brother! I sold a bunch of stuff over the summer and have nice tidy PayPal balance waiting to pay for these things! Lol! Chris
  7. So any idea/indication of when the Alter 1/100 rereleases will be coming out? Where the initial releases delayed? I'm just very excited to get these little beauties. Chris
  8. The YF-23 sounds like it was, by all accounts, an outstanding aircraft. Fast forward to today, the U.S. continues to waste millions of dollars into that turd F-35. Chris
  9. This Kickstarter campaign is doing very well! Wanted to bump it incase others missed it. Thanks again to everyone who pledged! Chris
  10. Posted this on the previous page....here you goThe ship is named after Alyssa Milano http://www.fandango.com/movie-news/fun-fact-star-lords-ship-in-guardians-of-the-galaxy-is-named-after-this-80s-dream-girl-748221 Chris
  11. Loved the movie and was the first time in a while that I saw a completely new spaceship ensign that I really liked. The Milano and her sisters are awesome! Also don't know if you guys figured it out, probably did, was where the name came from. As StarLord is a child of the 80's he named his ship after many boy's first crush from that time period, Alyssa Milano. http://www.fandango.com/movie-news/fun-fact-star-lords-ship-in-guardians-of-the-galaxy-is-named-after-this-80s-dream-girl-748221 Chris
  12. This was posted in the comments section regarding the licensing issue. " From the Axanar homepage: "Is Star Trek licensed by CBS/Paramount? No, Star Trek: Axanar is an independent project that uses the intellectual property of CBS under the provision that Axanar is totally non-commercial. That means we can never charge for anything. We will never sell the movie, DVDs, T-shirts, or anything which uses CBS intellectual property." And this "So basically as long as they don't sell assets that cbs used on air AND profit they should be fine? >_> ala the prelude to axanar backer disc and tunics are not classified as cbs intellectual property. And everything goes into the project. It's revenue but not profit" So hopefully this should be fine. Also, as Mommar pointed out, Trek has a long tradition of fan productions of varying degrees of quality.....many with actual mainstream veteran Trek actors....and haven't had any issues. Chris
  13. Glad to hear it! Every little bit helps I'd imagine. Glad to hear some of you guys are thinking of pledging as well. I'd really like to see the full movie too. Chris
  14. Star Trek Continues is the best fan made production that truly captures the look and feel of TOS, IMO. Star Trek Pase II is another well known fan production, but, it is not nearly as well done as Continues. Chris
  15. Glad yo guys like it. I really liked the whole "documentary" style they are using for the story. Be sure to spread the word about it if you know others that may like this. Chris
  16. Agreed. This was the first project I've donated to. I was so impressed with it. Chris
  17. Hey guys, just saw this over the weekend and was blown away by it. I wanted to spread the word about this production as I found it very well done. It's done in a "documentary" style and has impressive visual effects that combine some of the JJ Abrams fleet ships but with some TOS touches to them. THE STORY "Axanar takes place 21 years before the events of Where no Man Has Gone Before. It tells the story of Garth of Izar, the legendary Starfleet captain who is Captain Kirks hero and the role model for a generation of Starfleet officers. Garth charted more planets than any other Captain and was the hero of the Battle of Axanar. His exploits are required reading at Starfleet Academy. This is the story of Garth and his crew during the Four Years War, the war with the Klingon Empire that almost tore the Federation apart, and whose resolution solidified the Federation and allowed it to become the entity we know in Kirk's time. It is the year 2245, four years into the war with the Klingons." Check it out here! Edit: new link to current fundraiser. Link has all videos in it including Prelude to Axanar. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/star-trek-axanar/x/11444193#/story Chris
