  1. Holy crap! I've read about the Israeli F-15 that landed missing a wing, but I never saw a Tomcat flying with that kind of damage! Chris Edit: apparently it too landed safely! The first photo depicts the F-14A BuNo 159832 side number 205 which on Jun. 29, 1991 experienced a mid-air collision over South Chinese Sea with another Tomcat, the BuNo 161597 side number 201. Both aircraft were from Black Lions of the VF-213, at the time embarked on the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) and while the 201 crashed into the sea where the crew was rescued, the 205 was able to land to Singapore after loosing part of its right wing.
  2. Ah, ok I get what you are saying now. Yeah, it's a sacrifice, but I agree with EXO that it helps the Lion mode so much more. Though, the Blue and Yellow Lions legs look right to me. Chris
  3. I agree, watching the "Form Voltron" animation...the animation clearly shows the legs tucking in but still clearly visible, then when they are shown again connecting to the torso they are gone. If this has descent QC I may have to get this! Chris
  4. Damn, I think that looks really nice! I thought the Tounami look way to skinny but this looks just right. Chris
  5. One thing I was disappointed by was that not all the Cosmo Falcons can be completely built. I think only 4 have the parts to build completely and the rest don't have an underside as they are intended to be on the carousel. I'm planing on displaying the model with the AirWing flying over in formation but I can only use 6 Falcons (2 that came with Yamato and the 4 that can be completely built from the expansion pack) 2 Zero's, and 1 each of the Type 100 and Seagull. The other 2 will be displayed in the hangar. Would have been more impressive to have the majority of the Falcons flying over though. Chris
  6. I was wondering if that was them...but I couldn't remember what the star tours ride stuff looked like. Chris
  7. She's getting close now!! Wash is done and I've started the decaling. Then it'll be weathering touch-ups and final detail painting Forgot, then I'll need to paint the fighters and support craft... Chris
  8. Can you give us more description as to why it was so bad? I have the Blu-Ray on pre-order and may save the $70 if it is not worth it. Chris
  9. Is movie 2 available for pre-order yet? I also have movie 1 on pre-order but haven't noticed if the 2nd one is available yet. Chris
  10. Watched it last night and agree with the sentiments here. Not horrible but needs improvement. As was pointed out already, CW was a bit silly in the beginning too, but matured greatly. What I fear, is Disney not letting Rebels grow and mature as CW did, to make it stay more kid friendly. Chris
  11. Agreed. Also, isn't the F-16 Block 60 the first time the U.S. has sold a foreign power a better version of an aircraft that we (the U.S.) use!? Chris
  12. Crap, I never noticed this thread....I've been posting some of my stuff in the wrong section apparently. Awesome Phantom II! Those ship diorama's are AMAZING!! Chris
  13. When I see the f-35, I can't help but think of old GI Joe toys or the original Kenner Starwars vehicle toys with the over sized/wide canopies so figures could be placed in them. From what I heard it doesn't even give the pilot better viability either. Still don't see the A-10 as ugly. Looks like a mean mother@** to me. If not being sleek = ugly then that makes sense, but, things don't need to be sleek to be cool looking IMO. Chris
  14. Glad I'm not the only person that preferred the X-32. Most people seem to hate it and like the 35. I personally HATE how the 35 looks. It is one of the ugliest airplanes I've ever seen, and not in the cool way that most people use for the A-10 or A-6, just plain ugly. Never understood why people call the A-10 ugly. Chris
  15. I think you may be able to remove them. The instructions are in Japanese so I'm not certain. From what I remember of the construction the retracted position "plugs" are in 3 pieces. As long as you don't glue them in, you may be should be able to remove them. I don't recall how tight a fit the are though. The expansion set also includes the Cosmo Falcon hangar, and the elevator and replacement catapults for the Cosmo Zero. Also some extra detailing replacement pieces for those 2 hangars so the whole assemble can be removed and displayed separately. Chris
  16. Derex, if all you want are the wings I can send you the ones from my expansion set since I'm not using them. Chris
  17. Awesome!! The Starblazers logo is a sticker placed on the box for U.S. distributors. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it! William, any pictures of your DX yamato? I'd love to see what the master has done with it! Chris
  18. There is something SO damn appealing about her. Ever since I saw that movie I just had a thing for her. Chris
  19. After watching the anime again along with the painting guid that came with the kit, the deck is definitely a darker grayish color. The color I went with was a custom mix of earth and German grey.....gives it a brownish dark grey color. Chris
  20. Been steadily working on Yamato. Just about ready for the wash. Here are the shock cannons. Need to fix some things here and there, particularly on the "smoke-stack" and conning tower. The fins, tower, ect are just dry fit on to see what it looks like. Chris
  21. Weird thing is, my iPhone works fine, it's my iPad that won't play them.
  22. Yup, it's 8.0.2. This sucks Chris
  23. Did that today. Still doesn't work here. Weird. Chris
  24. After my latest update on my iPad2, embedded YouTube videos won't play here. They still play on other sites but not here. Any ideas? Chris
