  1. Ha ha, I was just going to ask the same question! I'd love to see some pictures. Chris
  2. Outstanding work William! I thought that the photo-etch was a pain on the 1/500, but, YIKES! 1/700!! I agree with UN Spacy, this thing really should have had the markings on it in the first place. Though, it looks like you found PERFECT replacements, bravo! Chris
  3. Honestly, I have no idea. Never even knew it did it until a bunch of hooplah was made about it, at another site, when the FM kit came out. My comment was really meant to be more "tounge and cheek" As for a good reasonably priced Star Destroyer.....YES! A thousand times YES!! Chris
  4. I agree great models and display! Chris
  5. I was about to say I've seen this before but thanks for reposting, then I saw the original post date. Lol! Chris
  6. EXACTLY what I was trying to say....I just can't seem to express what my thoughts are very well. You have said it perfectly though. Thank you. Chris
  7. I agree with you guys about season 5. Really didn't get good till the end. It's funny reading comments on these "interwebs" about season 5 "Archer Vice." There are these groups that want to shout down anyone that says it wasn't as good or it was a bad idea. As if by showing any disappointment means we aren't fans of the show or greatfull for the work that goes into it. When reviews of the first 4 seasons seem to be pretty much universally loved, the very fact that fans discuss the Archer Vice experiment proves our point that it failed. Chris
  8. I really like that. That put to words exactly how I feal about that phrase being so over-used when shows or movies end up with shitty characters, doing shitty things, and generally acting shittily."Oh it's an exploration of the human condition". Yes people do crappy things to each other, but we also can show tremendous compation for one another too, but when the good is shown then another term gets thrown around....Sappy. In Hollywood only the bad is considered "The Human Condition" Chris
  9. ^Yup I started watching Avatar part way through Book(season) 2......the Library episodes. I was REALLY impressed as I had seen commercials all the time for Avatar while watching shows with my kids. I started watching from that moment on and quickly went out and bought book 1 on DVD. Knowing where the show was going and how it would Mature! Made it much easier to get through some of the more silly episodes in season 1. Chris
  10. Oh God, don't judge/confuse Avatar: The Last Airbender with that horrible Last Airbender movie! Chris
  11. Really good point. I remember when the new BSG was airing and they had podcasts each week, Ron Moore made that same comment about the Cylons. That you can't make them this incredibly dangerous force, but still have you "heroes" survive week after week. It just diminishes the threat they pose. Too bad he eventually made the show the Cylon show. I also remember Jamie Bamber saying something to that effect in one of the podcasts, saying something like when the Cylon's were this unknown threat, they seemed more scarey or threatening. I agreed. I really like the NuBSG but felt the Cylon centric approach of the last season and a half was disappointing. Chris
  12. I'm reminded of a quote from one of my favorite book series 'The Dresden Files' "“Star Trek?” I asked her. “Really?” “What?” she demanded, bending unnaturally black eyebrows together. “There are two kinds of people in the universe, Molly,” I said. “Star Trek fans and Star Wars fans. This is shocking.” She sniffed. “This is the post-nerd-closet world, Harry. It’s okay to like both.” “Blasphemy and lies,” I said.” ― Jim Butcher, Ghost Story One of the few times I disagreed with Harry! Lol! I like both too. Chris
  13. Wow, great work! Chris
  14. Never been a SDF-1 fan, but, I may get one at some point. Chris
  15. Curious about that too. Particularly the mandible issue. Chris
  16. Damn....that poor man. Chris
  17. Thanks guys, I hope it'll be worth the wait. Chris
  18. Ok, I know I've been taking a while, so here are some update photo's of Yamato. I decided to do some more detailing, and as it is a big ship........ it's going to take a bit longer. Good news is, I'm on vacation at the moment and I've been working on her steadily for the past few days. Chris
  19. And that is why Fellowship was by far my favorite of the Saga. It just felt more intimate and real compared to any of the others, TLOTR or The Hobbit. Chris
  20. Fantastic! Chris
  21. Agreed. These things are amazingly detailed...and this is comming from an experienced model builder. Chris
  22. Again, where are you getting this? There was NEVER any "hand wave" or explanation in the Original trilogy for why the X-wings S foils opened. Also, you seem to be getting hung up on this when:A) The movie is still a year away so we don't know what will be said addressed or not B) No idea if any supplemental material will be released. 2009 Trek had a beautiful art book released. C) The original Triology has had nearly 40 years to come up with "explanations" as to why and or how most things are and look the way they do in Star Wars. Just give it some time I'm sure things will be explained in some shape or form over the years just as it was before. Honestly though, can we please give this a rest? 3 pages is enough, we get it....you don't like the new X-wing. Chris
